If your plan is to trade him why would you bench him? If JG were to hypothetically "light it up" Brady's trade value would be in the crapper. (I don't think they trade him, but, if they did the market would be narrow and I'd say maybe a 3rd rounder)

The Bills (IMO) mismanaged the QB position in the 2014 offseason (draft and FA), the 2013 FA period, the 2012 draft, the 2011 draft, the 2010 draft... Marrone was the unfortunate recipient of a first round QB in the one year when there wasn't one available. How Whaley ignored the position this past off season boggles my mind.
