The Bills don't need to worry about the cap until they need to pay a franchise QB. Taylor will probably get a nice restructuring with an extension, but, he won't command a huge price (in comparative terms). The mistake was Hughes & Marcel based on the switch to Rex's defense. They are both players I have enjoyed watching but I don't believe that either is worth what they are getting paid based on what they are asked to do. At least we can say, IMO, that Hughes has gone balls out every game.

There have been plenty of threads criticizing Whaley. He's had his share of hits & his share of misses. If you want to blame him for signing Mario then have at it, but I'd point to his productive seasons here as proof that it was a good signing. Shady for Kiko was a no brainer for me that I'd do 100 times out of 100. He's missed more often than not on o-line and he failed to put together a defense capable of playing in Rex's scheme. Some good, some bad.

Not sure what your point is. 80% or more of what I've seen indicates that people understand that coaching is a problem. Does that make players immune to criticism in your eyes? When a person quits that's on him. I love people who like nothing more than to twist an argument around until it comes out in their favor. your dreams are a bit more damp than that.

Tragic yes, I'm sure the defense will be "stand your ground." The homeowner imagined a threat to himself or his property. Don't know the specifics of OK laws though.

i'm older than you & I'm not so patient. We own Rez so I want to make it possible for the team to succeed. Assistant HC is not a novel approach. it is already an unstable situation.

What I want, knowing Rex will be back... He needs an assistant HC. The assistant HC must be detail oriented and he must have a strong feeling for game day/in game activities. Rex gets all wrapped up in himself and he isn't a HC on Sunday. The AHC must be the disciplinarian because Rex doesn't have the stomach for such things. The AHC must be given the leeway to impose discipline on players and he must get 100% backing from Rex. The AHC must be allowed to manage the games. As others have pointed out in many threads when you see Rex on the sidelines he's got his play sheet and he's making the defensive calls. Let him do that. Let the AHC manage timeouts, challenges, getting plays into the huddle on time. Ideally the AHC will have a strong offensive background. Let Rex do what he does, but force him to hire someone to watch his back.

So, since this is the first season with the new hierarchy in place (ownership on down) everyone is safe because they have only been in place one season. Can't agree with this at all. Should we take continuity one step further? After all, it is the first season for all of these players too. I think they all deserve a do over too.

So, are we at the point where we want a thread for every prospect out there? Thoughts about having a QB thread, a WR thread, an o-line thread etc?
