  1. That's what you hope. Whether or not it happens remains to be seen. The state of the offense suggests that it's years away from being competent. You can argue that we need new starters at least 9 new starters. That's not happening in one year.
  2. OK. They other 30 odd things they've done have been horrible. Colour me unimpressed.
  3. Why would anyone assume that will happen? Every move they've made on the offensive side of the ball has been a disaster.
  4. No he shouldn't. The fans just shouldn't buy tickets for next year. Without a coaching change, this team looks like it'll be awful for the foreseeable future.
  5. Worst team I've seen in my life. 10 points a game with minimal talent or building blocks who we can count on improving this team next year. This franchise has never been circling the drain like it is now.
  6. Start with the GM and Head Coach. Pegula should be embarrassed by the product they've put on the field. This team has become completely unwatchable under Beane and McDermott.
  7. Unfortunately because there are a lot of people who don't want equality.
  8. Agreed. His offensive evaluations have been horrible. Pretty much everything he's done on that side of the ball has been a complete failure. Personally I don't want him being the one to try and upgrade the O this summer, because there's no evidence that he'll be able to do it.
  9. Wentz and Watson have been great the last three weeks. They're both recovering from major injuries and are steadily rounding back into the form they were in a year ago. Jimmy G is hurt. No idea how he has anything to do with this argument considering he's in like his 5th season in the league. The point is this; most long term starters in the NFL showed they were good almost immediately. There are exceptions, but most of the guys who start for 5+ straight years are guys who had early success. On the flip side, most busts are guys who struggled initially. Again, there are exceptions, but the vast majority of the time if a rookie QB comes in and struggles with the basics, it's a bad predictor for how their overall career will go.
  10. I don't get this. Why are so many people sure that young, successful QBs like Mahomes, Goff, Wentz and Watson will get worse, and on the flip side how can you be so convinced that Josh Allen will get better. If those guys can get worse as teams figure out their tendencies, isn't the same true for Allen?
  11. Alllen wasn't good at this in a pro style system at Wyoming. So far as a Bill he's struggled badly in this department.
  12. I don't buy it. There's nothing Allen does better than Mahomes on the football field. Allen was the inferior player in every aspect you can look at a QB.
  13. Yeah, both Wentz and Watson are rounding back into form. It was convenient for Bills fans to suggest they were struggling and might not be all that good. Now that they're both playing really well again, there's little that fits their narrative that it makes sense to hold out hope that the light is suddenly going to turn on for Allen. Most young QBs who make it as franchise players show it very often. Rarely do they struggle as badly as Allen has struggled this year. Mahomes does everything better than Allen on a football field. And I'm not talking about right now; this dates back to their full college careers as well. The fact that we passed on Mahomes at 10 and traded up to take Allen at 7 made no sense whatsoever. Mahomes has always been an elite passer. Allen is just a guy with a strong arm, and there's a big difference between the two.
  14. Yet people seem to trust that he's going to massively upgrade the offense over the offseason.
  15. Passing on Mahomes set this franchise back enormously. Try to spin it if you want, but passing on both him and Watson was an epic mistake.
  16. There's a very real chance the Bills will have to play Barkley at some point on Sunday. This season is turning into a huge embarrassment for the franchise.
  17. Beane wasn't the GM when we picked Peterman...
  18. If you drew up an organizational flowchart for football operations, I think McDermott would be at the top and Beane would be below him.
  19. Very good post. They went all in on a losing hand. The decimated the roster to acquire draft picks that they in turn traded to move up for Allen and Edmunds. Edmunds looks solid, but Allen is just a lottery ticket who probably won't work out. We went all in on two young players, neglecting the rest of the offense and failing to put any additional NFL talent on an offense that only averaged 18 PPG last season. Expectedly things got a lot worse with inferior QB play, and the result is a historically bad offense the NFL hasn't seen in about 20 years. The Bills biggest mistake was not drafting a QB last year. They could have had either Mahomes or Watson, kept some of veterans and probably be competing for their second straight playoff birth. Instead they opted to completely mismanage the QB position and field one of the least competitive offenses any of us have ever seen.
  20. "A" QB is in place. Who knows if he's the right guy. History shows he's probably not. Otherwise we need two new receivers, a new LG, C, RG, RT, TE and probably a new RB. Ignoring QB, pretty much everyone other than Dion Dawkins needs to be replaced.
  21. Goff was an elite passer in the Pac-12. He put up video game numbers for Cal with minimal NFL talent around him. He was the #1 pick for a reason. Josh Allen was just a guy in the Mountain West. He's never been an elite passer. Scouting opinions were extremely split on him.
  22. They drafted a few good players and several busts with their first round picks. Aaron Donald, Todd Gurley and Goff have all worked out. They're top players. Greg Robinson, Tavon Austin and Alec Ogletree were all huge busts, and they haven't had a 1st round pick the last two years. Most of their 2nd, 3rd and 4th round picks haven't amounted to anything. McVay is an elite coach. He completely turned around Jared Goff because he's an elite offensive mind, and he hired an elite coordinator to coach the defense. They're dominant on both sides of the ball. McDermott has been a complete failure on offense. He's mismanaged the QB spot, and has hired two very poor coordinators. McVay is the vastly superior head coach.
  23. Didn't the Rams trade away like 3 first round draft picks for Goff? How are they accumulating blue chip players without first round picks? Reality is that McVay showed up and the rebuild was instantly over...
  24. No we don't. It's a fireable offense to have an offense scoring 10 points a game in 2018.
