Sammy was a better college player than Odell, Whaley made a power move to acquire the best weapon available in the draft. No way anyone could have known how well OBJ was going transition to the NFL, I'm an LSU guy and I didn't even want OBJ. The whole argument has been beat to death, Sammy is a talent but the trade goes to show why it's always dangerous to trade up in a draft while paying a premium price. Rarely do the best college prospects end up being the best pro's out of the bunch, so don't over invest in one player.

He started off good, he said the right things....During his first ten minutes or so while he was honoring the fallen and the living members of law enforcement something stood out to me. He looked exhausted, I got the impression he was done with all this and just wanted to go off into the sunset. As the speech wore on he started politicizing. First the books to guns line, then the mention that things may get worse before they get better, then onto mention that something like this will inevitably happen again, and finally some weird message about everyone feeling prejudice at some point whether it's in their heads, houses, or even their hearts. Everyone has felt it, was what I remember from what he said? So instead of taking the chance to unify an emotionally exhausted country he soothes everyone and only minutes later he seemingly warns us of "our" impending future and informs us of "our" past mistakes. So Mr. president you have felt prejudices towards people, or you have felt them from other people in your own home? That sure could use some clarity because it was a mess coming out of your mouth. Inciting an already angry mob, things may get worse? How about calling for things to come to a stand still while the officers involved are awarded their due process in MN and NO. I won't even address the books too guns line it's idiotic. The last thing and maybe the most glaring thing I noticed was how much his demeanor changed once he moved past the first 10 minutes of his speech. He would have been better off sticking with honoring the fallen and cutting that speech 30 minutes short. Seeing an emotionally charged president getting political was the last thing we needed. The U.S. should adopt Rex's system of electing leaders, don't take it serious, change them often because we hardly ever get it right.

GW shows up and is nailing a unifying speech, sadly it will have no impact. The guy that needs to be saying these words is sitting down behind him. Come on Obama put your agenda checklist down and pull some 2008 podium magic.

Perhaps some of that explains the ball being held longer than any other team and being bottom of the league in YAC. If his drop isn't in sync with the routes that eliminates anticipation throws which would cut down on INT's but put us at an overall disadvantage. I asked the question because my feeling is that Roman needs to improve as much or more as TT this season. The leagues rules really lean toward aiding passing attacks and we have an OC who's creativity is better served in the run game. Roman should become friends with Ben McAdoo.

While doing all these breakdowns have you noticed any glaring weaknesses in Roman's play calling in the passing game? Greg Bedard and others have been critical of the simplicity Roman used last year with TT. As a fan I just see what works and what does not work on Sundays, I'm curious if you have could better pin point the "simplicity". Is it formations, routes, play calls, reads, spacing of the field? I know Roman spent time with Colin K. in SF, was the play calling similar? I know they ran more read option, but was the passing game lacking? Did they utilize the middle of the field? I'm trying to guage what kind of improvements we can expect this season and if it's in TT's hands?... or is Roman is notorious for reigning in his QB to limit mistakes? You nailed it. I saw it this afternoon and the best part was the Minions short video which aired during the previews. I thought the idea for the movie would lead to great things from Illumination but it was mainly a raucous attempt at comedy. Kevin Hart does the voice for one of the characters and to me it seemed like the film makers fell in love with his style and let him carry the movie. Not a flop by any means but certainly not what I thought it could be. IMO don't wait in long lines for this one, guess we should have seen Dory. Looks like Illumination has another big release coming out around Xmas time, it looks good. It's titled Sing and looks like it could be catchy with all the popular songs.

Rub routes should be reviewed and changed so they no longer give the offense an unfair advantage. Hard to believe the NFL needs more rules that bungle up the on the field play but it's broken.

It's early, we will hear more. In regards to him joining the military to serve his country, that can go many ways. It's not always about doing the patriotic thing, a good portion of enlistments stem from folks who seek an income that they can't get in their current situation, an outlet to get out of a bad situation etc, heck my brother did it avoid following my fathers footsteps. I'm not discounting any of what you said, with the magnitude of the situation I'm sure they will dig deep and more information will come out.

Look up the sisters Instagram a few days before the shooting, look at his final post. I'd like to know more about the parents and his upbringing. PTSD is certainly a possibility and I'm not going to make light of mental health issues but let's not pass the buck so quickly.
