Uber uses a loophole for the insurance. The driver has to have his normal level of insurance to start driving. However on each pick up the driver is deducted one dollar to start the trip, that dollar pays for the commercial insurance that Uber has. That insurance covers the driver and passenger while on a trip, after the trip ends the process starts all over again. With the Uber driver going around on his own personal insurance until he gets another passenger, I'm not an expert but I think that's the foggy area. Some states may want the cars working for Uber to be covered 100% of the time? Just a guess.
-
That makes sense, the extra 100 a month or so for insurance would deter many part-time drivers.

Yeah my rating is 4.6, without the 1 I would have been at 4.8 or something. When my rating first calculated I hadn't received many reviews outside the 1 so I was rocking a 4.5, got a few cancelations last night. Still short on reviews I may give it another go when time allows. Yeah reportedly Uber has 35,000 drivers in NYC I think they have some kind of union, not sure how strong it is. I'm surprised WNY hasn't allowed them in yet.

Messed around with it this weekend and did pretty well outside of one pick up which I made a wrong turn. The driver rated me a 1 and tanked my rating since I only have 12 reviews... It's funny on about 30 percent of my rides I have received tips and the other rides all went well but according to their rating system I suck. I was just messing around with it for some vacation money. I wanted to push it on my off time until the seasons starts but this seems kind of like a child's game. The reviews are based on a 1-5 anynonmous star rating which includes no comments and is not subject to further review. Once your rating tanks rides can refuse rides which wastes your own time and gas.

Who lasts longer Trump or the air base? Have we ever been forced to leave a country that we had a documented alliance with?

KC makes Eric Fisher highest paid OL in NFL

You missed that one. Many will wonder about this contract the same way many wonder how the heck Jeff Fisher is still an NFL coach. -

Jeff Fisher, Eric Fisher hmmm this is suspicious -
I don't blame him, it would be hard to catch passes from an 18 million dollar QB who has limited game experience. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000678115/article/deandre-hopkins-skips-texans-camp-stages-holdout

Bills' 2016 Training Camp - Day 2

I will take your Dez Lewis and raise you a Greg Little! Hope he has his head on straight he has all the physical tools. -
That's all fair, I can imagine the odds of TT hoisting the super bowl trophy as being pretty low. Better question would be will Roman ever get one as an OC.
-
Tyrod is never going to be a pure passer and Tom Brady is never going to rush for substantial gains each week like Taylor does. Take note of our record when passing the ball less than 30 times. That's not just a coincidence, Roman wants to run and limit pass attempts while controlling the game. That's when he is comfortable with and it seems to fit Taylor's style. It's not as fun as some of the passing offenses, I'd enjoy it more if we had a bigger primary running back and scrapped the trick plays.

TOD 7/29: Kim Pegula - active owner? Is this good?
CommonCents replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Competing Marv to Torre is a little uneven. The only team we were more talented than was the Giants and even though we got out coached we had a chance to win. The Cowboys n Skins were stacked. Torre had the best team for a number of years. Just run the names through your head it was an impressive team, the first time in years iv thought the name John Wetteland. -
I hope you optimistic guys are right for once because I'm going to feel guilty paying for the ticket this year. The individual talent on the team is enough to make the playoffs, but the talent doesn't support each other very well on the defensive side of the ball. How the heck are you going to compile penetrating DT's and put them infront of two thumpers, why are you going to put two thumpers infront of two safeties who are below average in coverage? We could pour quicksand down the middle of the field and no one would notice. You have one good outside rusher who is surely going to be chipped and double teamed all year long. Opposite Hughes you have a role player in Manny or a total dud in IK. What is big sexy going to lead the team in sacks!? I just don't see what you guys are looking at defensively. If that plays out like how I see it, that sounds closer to 6-10 than 10-6. Rex has his hands full this season, I'm interested to see how he gets pressure and if the sack numbers rebound. I almost bet Boyst about the sack total earlier this offseason now I'm glad I didn't.

Sammy Watkins Has a Broken Foot; Ready for Camp?
CommonCents replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fair enough, we have varying opinions on the optics and potential risks. I'm not as sold on the training staff at this point, the injury has been hush hush but the timeframe sure fits the guidelines of a Jones Fracture. As you said we can't "prove" it but if he does break it again you know stuff like this is going to cross everyone's mind. If he is not healthy enough to practice he shouldn't be on a court. Is it 100 percent or not? He can play a pick up game of hoops but isn't physically fit to practice. PUP- physically unable to perform when it comes to football, but he is able to perform on the basketball court? That sounds like a very fine line to be walking when a doctor issues his restrictions. Cheers to hoping that foot is 100%! Remember Sammy you can play hoops it's no risk on your foot unless you jump really high, just jump with a medium amount of force. Yiiiiikes. -
Sammy Watkins Has a Broken Foot; Ready for Camp?
CommonCents replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sammy is serious about his preparation but looking at the reoccurrence rates of broken feet is alarming. Most if not all of those guys - football players and or basketball are all some of the most competitive guys around. Dez, Durant, Julio, Edelman, etc. I'm not saying Sammy is a slacker or doing dumb things on purpose to put himself at risk. I just have a hard time putting faith into our training staff knowing more than other teams. Dez wasn't cleared for 6 months after his second surgery. Edelman seems to be trending towards that time frame as well, around here they are still discussing the chance he misses a few weeks. Again, not bashing Sammy just very cautious with this staff and his health. He is all we have...no we don't need to wrap him in bubble wrap but if he does break it again people are going to remember him playing basketball months before playing football. From the hardwood to the PUP...don't have too hate it but I'd be hard pressed to find an honest man saying that's a smart idea. -
2017 NFL Mock Drafts & Top Prospects
CommonCents replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in College Football
He would be a good fit for Roman, but I don't like taking backs that high. Sad thing is he is better off having a nagging injury this season and keeping some of those carries off his legs, running backs get shafted. Harris has plenty of options on offense, I think the game is too fast for him though. It will be an interesting season, I have had to sacrifice some CFB for family time which pains me. -

They make Greg Roman jealous. Hopefully they find a passing game this year to clean up the LOS for Fournette. -

A guy coming off a broken foot is out playing hoops and soon to be sitting out training camp. Sammy is a knucklehead, Boldin would have been a good mentor. -

Karma is a B word. Check the video of him running over an old man back while he was at WV. Couldn't find the video but here is the link to the story, pushing a 71 year old coach. http://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/sports/college/iowa-state/cyclone-insider/2015/08/12/iowa-state-assistant-coach-wally-burnham-geno-smith/31543789/
