  1. NP. My memory sucks too, I had to look it up.
  2. Yes we traded away a 4th this year and a 4th next year to move up. http://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2016/04/nfl_draft_2016_buffalo_bills_trade_up_to_select_reggie_ragland_in_second_round.html
  3. Wasn't the 4th pick traded for Ragland? Cardale was the comp pick. Maybe I'm wrong who knows.
  4. Right and after RG3's nightmare I hope the team plays it safe if these reports turn out to be true. No need to trot this kid out there until his leg is flapping around.
  5. This Leroi guy needs a blue check mark?
  6. Let 22 drunk fans play some good ole fashion backyard football. Bring it back to the roots.
  7. Chilly you just broke my heart, dang was planning on winding down and watching some of that game.
  8. Greg Little wore the powder blue at UNC.
  9. It's all good! For what it's worth I'm excited about the offense as well. Like you said it's almost the time of year that we convince ourselves that things will be different this time around. I'm getting there, it just takes a little longer these days.
  10. I didn't say there was a easy fix, players like Luke and Marshall are rare. Marshall was a free agent, I wanted him..Denver retained him. I'm not sure if he was an RFA, my memory isn't great. Marshall got paid and deservedly so. I certainly thought we could have better spent our draft picks but i have been through that and you were part of the conversation. I wasn't badgering the organization, I was critical when we got bigger and slower in the draft. I stand by that. No biggie we all have our likes and dislikes. I commented on a poster who was implying that you can substitute one dimensional players and solidify the position. It's just not that simple, it's easily manipulated by good teams. I want to beat the Pats, not play around in mediocrity. From draft day on I said Ragland and Zach Brown would have been a better combo than Ragland and Preston. It's harder to dictate match ups when a defense is well rounded. All our talent outside suffers when teams can control the middle of the field.
  11. Luke and Brandon Marshall are regarded by most as the best ILB's in coverage. I added a link to an SI article that is brief but worth a look.
  12. Here is a good read about modern day linebackers that directly addresses some of the names you mentioned Beer. https://www.google.com/amp/amp.timeinc.net/si/nfl/2016/06/29/nfl-positional-rankings-inside-linebackers-luke-kuechly%3fsource=dam?client=safari
  13. Railing against the front office because I said the hard part with mix matching LB's that excel at one thing and struggle with another is they are easily manipulated? Look at Carolina's defense last year and then Denvers. Both teams have/had linebackers that were excellent in coverage and its no surprise their defenses were playing for the championship. Our corners are in the better half of the league where we lack is in the middle of the field. LB's and safeties.
  14. Offenses can manipulate the defensive personal. Using play calling to dictate personnel and coverages then going no huddle and making you unable to substitute. See the New England Patriots for the past 15 years or so.
  15. Yeah people loved Thompson and Davis in preseason last year, I have a feeling Little is going to excite the fan base once everyone gets eyes on him. He is physically superior to Woods, if he can keep focused and takes this as his last oppurtunity to earn a real contract then we may benefit. I'm crossing my fingers on this one.
  16. I'm sure the team was forth coming on the severity of Ragland's injury while negotiating with the agents. Sure they are getting a second opinion tomorrow but in the interest of signing the best available talent your going to tell them what you know and what they want to hear. The agents and players aren't interested in filling in for a few weeks and making peanuts on the dollar while potentially missing a better situation to make a roster. Two veterans and their agents decided to sign on the same day, you guys are all smart enough to connect the dots I'm done with this one.
  17. You made that bet on shady for the 17' season, let's make a bet on the WR battle. I say Little wins the 3 WR job hands down.
  18. Your making my point for me...why would two agents agree to sign with Buffalo if they knew the spots would be limited? So their client could make 1800 bucks for a few weeks? Or because they have knowledge that this is a good landing spot to get onto a 53? Do you really think Ragland is all fine and dandy and going to be on the field September 11?
  19. Hawthorne has 600 something career tackles, 12 sacks and 8 interceptions. He has been in the league 8 years and was on a team each and every year, that would seem to me he is more than a camp body. No one is happy about the Ragland injury, heck I hated the Ragland pick and went to bat against the majority of the board. He was still the best ILB we had and any amount of time he misses makes us worse overall. The contract details for Spikes and Hawthorne haven't been released but it's probably safe to assume both are close to the vet minimum. It's alarming that the front office grabbed two veterans before the "second opinion" on Ragland's knee. Anything short of starting the season on the PUP list would be a pleasant surprise at this point.
  20. Two veterans is alarming, they wouldn't throw money out the window. That indicates too me that both these guys will be on the 53 if healthy. If Ragland was coming back soon we would have seen a camp body for one of those spots. We will know soon enough.
  21. They signed two veterans, they didn't sign camp bodies. It's good that we now have adequate replacements for RR but it's very telling about the severity of that knee.
  22. Why is that commendable? They just had to shorten a scrimmage because lack of LB's, a day later they sign two linebackers. Seems like standard operating procedure for any organization.
  23. https://mobile.twitter.com/RapSheet/status/762335204874842112 They also signed David Hawthorne.
  24. Time served as a FA. I guess they factor in that the pending suspension costs the FA some contract offers so no need to punish them twice.
