can the Bills win more with less talent ?
CommonCents replied to ....lybob's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's not his fault that Ramsay cut off his nuts, he was good before then. -
Look at the top ten rushing defenses from last year, or just look at the playoff teams from last season. I was surprised when I saw that stat, sure some of it can be attributed to good teams having leads and forcing teams to pass but they all did well in YPC as well as yards a game. Run D still matters, I'm on record saying we will be in the lower third of the league against the run this year.

and Skurski Throws in the towel as well
CommonCents replied to 8-8 Forever?'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Haven't seen a prediction from a member yet that has the Jets beating us in week 2. Seems strange, we beat them twice last year - once with an injured Fitz and once when Fitz was in prime choking mode. I think they are going to come to BLO with a purpose in week 2 and it's to early in the season for Fitz to melt. -
Everyone I'm talking to loves FSU tonight, so I will gladly take Ole Miss and the 6 points.

Vikings trade for Bradford
CommonCents replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Same thoughts that came to my mind, good post. Good trade for both teams, first thing the Eagles have done right in awhile. I think Minny had two first rounders for next year so that softens the blow. -
They had Kendall Hunter while Roman was there!? Maybe that's who your thinking. Not sure.

Yeah I won't be able to binge it anytime soon, sucks they released it on a holiday weekend and with the start of football. 10 episode tho, love it.

Depth will be a problem this year
CommonCents replied to jahnyc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If we can declare players gems before they suit up in a game that matters surely we can take an exhaustive look at the roster and the decisions made that got us there. Scouring street FA's was nice when the intent was to bolster the depth of the team, now they are doing it to find instant impact players out of necessity due to injuries and mismanagement of the cap. Rex is retooling last years defense with much less talented players, hopefully he can pull it off. We lost Bradham, Brooks, Leo, Mario and others...who are we replacing them with? UDFA's and street FA's, if he goes 8-8 he deserves coach of the year. -
Depth will be a problem this year
CommonCents replied to jahnyc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So for the past two seasons all we heard was how deep this team was, now that the depth has been exposed....it's a league wide problem. Look at the active roster for week 1 and compare our front 7 on defense to the rest of the league. Then look at the back ups, then look at the rookies that will take snaps and impact other teams seasons. Lawson out, Ragland out, Listenbee out, that accounts for Buffalo's 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 6th round picks that will have zero contributions. Can any other team say that? 2011 Marcell suspended 2012 Gilmore- active 2013 1st rounder EJ is on the bench 2014-2015 is Sammy Watkins 2016 Shaq Lawson- injured Can you atleast say YIKES? That is scary? If Sammy gets hurt we have one 1st rounder that we drafted playing....I know your next reply is well they drafted Shaq for the long haul, fine make that argument. The counter argument is that you drafted damage goods and even after you fix the damage this does not make him immune to new injuries. Someone falls on Shaq's leg the wrong way and he blows out a knee!? Is he injury prone now? No not really, he only got hurt once in the past 3 or so years but the games lost due to injury are on the front office not Shaq. -
I wonder what the reaction will be if the details come out about the investigated DV incident and the relation that may have to this roster decision. Maybe the Pegula's adopted a zero tolerance policy, how would fans feel about that?

All the Cuts in one place...
CommonCents replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They clearing up some money to bring back the Jills? Holy smokes I don't even want to see what our depth chart looks like. Oh well, to close to the season for crying. I'm going to drink this 6-10 into a playoff birth. -

Kaepernick and the National Anthem
CommonCents replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
So he wears pig cop socks to practice, this guy is definitely just a dink weed and shouldn't be the face of any movement. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/news/colin-kaepernicks-choice-of-socks-fueling-fire-hurting-his-message-154902318.html -
Tyler Dunne on the Chris Borland Effect
CommonCents replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is Borland from a well off family? Just a hunch but that could have something to do with his stance. How many people in this country have been underpaid while working in mills and factories that take years off their lives? Such an outrage over the NFL which may or may not effect the quality of life, all the while paying small fortunes to players who stick. -
Streams in HD, there is times when the quality bounces around a bit but for the most part it's pretty good. The streaming service has come a long way since they first introduced it. Well worth the buy IMO. I'm not a tech guy so someone may be better able to speak to the quality and ways to maximize it. I bought a 4K tv but haven't used the streaming service on it yet, from what I had read last streaming hasn't been able to produce 4K yet just enhanced HD.

I stream through my ps4, it's usually decent but on a 10 second delay or so. I found it best to reset my modem before the games start, for some reason that seems to improve the quality and minimize buffering.

Which team will have the best season?
CommonCents replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Disastrous is an interesting take, we had a 3 way competition last year at the QB position and the late round pick won and played well. Denver had a very similar situation with a late round pick beating out a 1st rounder and a veteran, I think he has looked decent and has a good surrounding cast. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000693257/article/sanders-on-siemian-he-can-make-every-single-throw -
