  1. Correct, 506th of the 101st Airborne. not sure of the company? Parachute Infantry Regiment? I'm going to copy/paste a couple posts from my cousins (second cousin) son regarding my uncle. Remembering my Grandfather PFC Morris Thomas, Machine Gunner, 506th PIR, 101st Airborne Division, KIA, October, 1944 in the fierce fighting for the liberation of Holland. Honoring 16 year old Dutch civilian Leonardo’s GM Jeunken, Killed In Action, October 1944 in fierce action in the town of Opheusden, Holland. When my grandfather’s Assistance Gunner was killed, Leonardus picked up a rifle and provided covering fire for my grandfather, PFC Morris Thomas of the 506th PIR, so he could continue to man his .30 caliber machine gun.
  2. *I stand corrected. after talking to my cousin my uncle after surviving (although wounded) DDay was kia in October 1944 and buried in Holland. they were able to bring his remains home to be buried back the 70's. "all gave some; some gave all"
  3. I'm wondering how different the poll results would be on a national scale?
  4. kind of ignorant to try and tell someone that may not agree with you to go cheer for the patriots. honestly, it's almost to close to call http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-hall-of-fame/09000d5d811bfdf4/Bruce-Smith-vs-Reggie-White
  5. he received his first purple heart after being wounded following the jump. he would receive another in October 1944 that would cost him his life. his remains were located in Holland.
  6. lost an uncle over there. mia for 3 decades. found and brought home in early '70's. "all gave some; some gave all"
  7. it seems like every off season a thread appears about being afraid. I'm scared of this or scared of that.
  8. thanks for posting this man. interesting quote here. wonder if those showing negative feelings toward JK, will now have the same ill feelings toward the coach? I mean, seems he, the HC, has no issues but hey, he must have a loser mentality to let JK get involved with JA... McD Q: What Jim said is that he was meeting with [Ken] Dorsey, [Brian] Daboll and with Josh [Allen]. Also that they had downloaded plays from the Super Bowl era and said any plays that Josh liked were to be implemented. So it’s pretty specific areas of discussion, he sat in meetings. A: It really boils down to, like I said before, us trying to find every way possible to improve our football team. I’ve stood up here before and told you guys we look at every way to improve our football team and this is no different. Jim is a Hall of Famer, and to me it would ignorant of us not to have a relationship with Jim. Sometimes asking him “hey what do you think”, we’ve got a younger quarterback, so all of that’s healthy, all of that’s good. At the end of the day, Brian will be the one calling the plays and we’ll move forward with that. You guys can work out that much yourselves. Josh Allen Q: We heard Jim Kelly tell us yesterday that there’s been times where he’s sat down with you, Brian [Daboll], Coach [Ken] Dorsey and gone over film and had conversations. Can you dive a little bit more into what those have been like and how frequent those have been? A: I wouldn’t say that they’ve been frequent but it’s always good to get new ideas, especially from a guy like Jim who is a Hall of Famer and played at the highest level for a very long time. For myself, just kind of picking his brain and talking and seeing what he did on film and actually being able to ask him what his thought process was on a certain concept. You see it nowadays too, football has not changed that much. They ran the same concepts that we still run to this day so in order to pick his brain has been really good for me. Obviously he’s been there with me with Dorsey and Daboll a couple of times. So, I don’t think it’s been much more than that, I don’t know if everybody has been making it a big deal but to have a guy like Jim around the building is special because he means a lot to this city and a lot to this organization so I’m just thankful that he is fortunate enough to come over here and talk to us.
  9. well, to some the old guard are nothing but losers, second best. they're also old and some don't want these old guys around their new shiny toy as they feel their second best level may rub off on the kids. actually, it's nothing more then useless bitching and whining but that happens quite a bit around this joint.
  10. get over yourself. you look like a little spoiled brat that's not getting his way here. of course, that was putting it mildly as you are not worth the point I'd get if I were able to say how I really felt.
  11. Mets plead with U.S. patent office to deny Tom Brady's 'Tom Terrific' claim Tom Brady has managed to irk another New York fanbase. (Getty) As far as the Mets are concerned, there’s only one Tom Terrific — Hall of Fame pitcher Tom Seaver, who won three Cy Young awards and helped lead the Mets to the 1969 World Series. Mets plead their case with U.S. patent office Apparently irked by Brady’s claim, the Mets made their case to the USPTO on Monday. But they didn’t do so in a legal filing. They aired their grievance on Twitter.
  12. actually mac, you quoted me and I responded. I'm a joker, I'm a smoker, I'm a midnight toker.
  13. no, not really. of course I'm not opposed nor have ill feelings toward the presence or interaction of past players such as you and a few others who have been so adamant about it. doesn't bother me, at all. as is yours, so there's that.
  14. fierce competitor in steve smith. one of those players that was not on your team but I liked to watch in action. JA has that fierce competitor nature in him.
  15. no, my comprehension skills are fine. I know exactly what you meant. I said damn them all to hell, you copy that? or no
  16. awww, poor gugny is upset, they couldn't win just one. what a pity and damn them all to hell.
