  3. But every day theres a new thing comin The ways of an oriental view The sheriff and his buddies With their samurai swords You can even hear the music at night
  4. Page 12 of 12 I heard that she clarified her comments later claiming she thought Fiers should have exposed it through 'proper channels', i.e - the team and/or MLB instead of through the Athletic. Which is kind of dumb because how would she know that he didn't do just that only to have it get buried. Wouldn't be the first time a major sport squelched a cheating scandal. Also very sketchy that she made any public comment since she's employed by the Mets.
  5. I heard Francesa too, but I'm not buying that Beltran stepped down because of the media. I think Beltran came clean with the Mets and/or MLB provided specifics to the Mets about Beltrans's involvment that never made it into the report.
  6. Big time fascinating. And I'm inclined to believe the buzzer story. If true, what would be interesting is if the buzzers came after Cora and Beltran were gone. Here's a dumb thought: if multiple players had buzzers they must've been on the same frequency right? So when Altuve is getting buzzed at the plate everyone on the bench is too. Gotta find that video where the entire bench flinches all at once.
  7. Speculation I've seen about buzzers was for 2019, nothing in Manfred's report about that. I'm not dismissing the possibility, but right now there's blood in the water and the sharks are circling. I'll be interested to see what comes out of the Red Sox report.
  8. And now it's a done deal.
  9. It's a high cost of low livin' Ain't it high time? You turn yourself around Yeah, the high cost of low livin' It's bound to put you six feet in the ground
  10. A defense of Beltran getting fired from an unexpected source - Mike Francesa. Main points were that Texeira and CC should keep their mouths shut because the Yankee teams were loaded with cheats (steroid users) and Beltran shouldn't get fired simply because he lied to the media. https://nypost.com/2020/01/16/mike-francesa-calls-out-ex-yankees-for-sign-stealing-criticisms/ I still think the Mets and Beltran should part ways.
  11. Yeah, now that the dust is settling on the Astros and Cora the NY press has their sights set on Beltran. Collins is a great call.
  12. Stay! And help me to end the day And if you don't mind We'll break a bottle of wine
  13. The silence from him and the Mets has been deafening. I have no idea what the contract implications are but stepping down sounds like the softest landing he could expect. I wonder what happens to his coaching staff. I read the report. I thought it was odd that he was the only player mentioned but his contribution to the sign stealing was vague.
  14. Two great songs. For our D, I'd go with the Milano Mosh from the same era of metal:
  15. So the Red Sox cheated, but it didn't help. At all. BTW, did the report say that the Red Sox only cheated at home? Or are we still waiting for that report to come out? Don't get me wrong, I expect that the Red Sox did their cheating at home too. What amazes me is how you as a Pats fan can hide behind the 'well we would have won anyway' excuse. Reminds me of a a relative of mine who honestly believed the guy's nickname was The Deflater because of his weight loss program. Blind loyalty IMO.
  16. This deserves more than just a Haha emoji.
  17. We were so good we didn't really need to cheat. Cheating had nothing to do with our success. Sounds vaguely familiar, where have I heard this before? Sigh..
  18. Don't leave me hanging on the telephone
  19. If I could Baby, I'd give you my world Open up Everything's waiting for you You can go your own way
  20. How so? My thought is that the Bills and Titans are fairly comparable.
  21. I get your point, but the Bills loss is a lingering black cloud over the playoffs for me. I didn't enjoy the Pats loss as much as I would have if it wasn't right after our loss. And every Titan win is a reminder of how close we were to making a run this year. But my glass is half full. Two years ago I was fine with losing the wild card game, this year I expected more. It feels good to expect more.
  22. I'm a man yes I am and I can't help but love you so
