  1. Bloodied angels fast descending Moving on a never-bending light Phantom figures free forever Out of shadows, shining ever-bright Neon Knights
  2. To everything (turn, turn, turn) There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
  3. Serious question: what's the arbiter of the length of the National Anthem? I've run a prop bet pool the past few years and always wanted to add that, but I've limited the pool to things I could look up in your typical boxscore.
  4. My last franchise pizza experience was a few years ago when my youngest repeatedly saw a commercial for someone's 'crazy bread'. He was obsessed and it was harmless to surprise him. Which I did one sunday. It was around a 40 minute drive out and back. The crazy bread sucked, but my son would disagree and his appreciation was priceless and well worth it.
  5. Motorhead hologram tour?
  6. No no no no, I don't smoke it no more I'm tired of waking up on the floor
  7. LAMP alert!!! Read on at your own discretion. The last time I can remember eating at a Pizza Hut was in Buffalo. For my birthday, my girlfriend (now wife) surprised me with a trip to a Bills game. Got off the plane, got the rental car and decided to get something to eat before we crossed into Canada (stayed at a hotel overlooking the Falls on the Canada side). Saw a Pizza Hut, seemed like a safe choice. It sucked, but it worked.
  8. Appreciate the leg work! Validates my memory that 1990 was an anomaly, but I'm shocked how many have happened since.
  9. Pizza Hut, etc? Lol, ignorant/arrogant assumption. My guess is that your definition of a pizza joint and mine differ.
  10. I'm pretty sure that the lack of a two break was highly uncommon prior to Bills/Giants, can you name another (not being a d!ck here, just curious). XXVIII does a ring a bell. I have a vague recollection thinking the lack of an off week would make the game as good as Giants/Bills.
  11. Nope, not uncommon at all. But perhaps it's uncommon where you live. Which apparently isn't KC or where I live.
  12. When I was growing up the Super Bowl sucked more often than not. A lot of people attributed it to the two week layoff. I'm pretty sure that Bills/Giants was the first in a loooong time that didn't have the two week layoff and it was arguably the best SB ever. Can't remember why there was no extra week, but I always wondered whether the timing had anything to do with it being such a great game. Fast forward and I think we've seen enough great SB's to debunk the two week layoff theory.
  13. Let me get this straight, he appreciates that nobody interrupted his dinner so he pays it forward by paying everyone's tab.....and interrupting everyone's dinner. j/k but it is kind of ironic.
  14. I'm in love with my car, gotta feel for my automobile
  15. You better think (think) Think about what you're trying to do to me Yeah think (think, think) Let your mind go, let yourself be free
  16. Oh won't you stay Just a little bit longer Oh please please please stay Just a little bit more
  17. Girl, don't go away mad Girl, just go away
  18. You paddle out turn around and raise And baby that's all there is to the coastline craze You gotta catch a wave and you're sittin' on top of the world
  19. Hell is for children
  20. Hey now don't make a sound Say have you heard the news today? One flag was taken down To raise another in it's place A heavy cross you bear A stubborn heart remains unchanged No home, no life, no love No stranger singing in your name Maybe the season The colors change in the valley skies Dear God I've sealed my fate Running through hell Heaven can wait Long road to ruin
  21. Boy, you're going to carry that weight, Carry that weight a long time
  22. I think the point is just that (at least on Long island) - the beach parking lots were closed to everyone for all after-hours activities. I know there are beaches out by Montauk where the after hours scene is bonfires and drinking. Saw it once years ago when I was out there with my toddlers. Looked like a great time. But not something the state parks would want any part of. My guess is there was a "star-gazer" contingent who were either getting around parking lot barriers or parking on the feeder roads but ultimately causing no issues. Monetizing this access to either get some revenue or fund parking attendants and/or security wouldn't bother me if that's what's going on.
  23. For the state parks on Long Island it looks like this applies to a few beach parking lots that are typically closed at night. The stargazing stipulation is probably intended to keep people from swimming, fishing, bbq'ing, bonfires on the beach, etc... after hours.
  24. So I walked out that lonely truck stop With my head hanging down Wondering how in the hell I got myself into this mess And more importantly How I was gonna get myself out of it So I wrote a song for you, baby girl And I hope when I return home The locks ain’t changed on the doors And there’s still a spot for me On that big ol’ California king sized bed
  25. So you're saying it's Cal Ripken Jr? Shortstops and Black Sabbath. An unlikely combination.
