Mediocre is much better than the NFL's worst in all categories. Not excuse here, but when you play the better offenses in the league the stats tend to suck Defense Total (YPG) 20 Passing (YPG) 23 Rushing (YPG) 14 Interceptions T 9 -
2015-16 Buffalo Bills Positive Thread

Power Rankings Pats fall out of the top spot ESPN #5 v 3, NFL.com v 3, ESPN # 12 Bills 6-6 ^ 7 Last Week: 19 Tyrod Taylor, a quarterback with 35 career attempts entering this season, hasn't thrown an interception since Week 4. Taylor's streak of 187 attempts without a pick is the longest in Bills history. NFL.com #11 Bills 6-6 ^ 2 Last That win over the Texans was a huge one in terms of making something out of Rex Ryan's freshman season in Buffalo. At 6-6, the Bills lie right in the middle of the AFC wild-card morass, and with a head-to-head victory against one of their potential combatants for the fifth or sixth seed (Houston) in their back pocket. How about that Tyrod Taylor, setting a Bills record for consecutive passes without an interception? Among the Bills QBs of yore, Joe Ferguson was known to throw a few picks. So was Jack Kemp. But I'm surprised Taylor bested Jim Kelly in that category. -
It's Eagles week so what does Mike Rodak aka The Rodent write? http://espn.go.com/blog/buffalo-bills/post/_/id/22647/ranking-lesean-mccoys-most-notable-moments-with-the-bills Ranking LeSean McCoy's most notable moments with the Bills 1. McCoy makes controversial comment about Chip Kelly. 2. McCoy tries to organize females-only party 3. McCoy strains hamstring in training camp practice. 4. McCoy rushes for 112 yards ... three times. 5. McCoy agrees to five-year, $40 million contract. He'll be captain at the coin toss Unless something changed since Sunday he was playing against the Pats

Tyrod was everything I wanted in a QB today
NOVABillsFan replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thinking on it a bit - everything-i-wanted The conundrum - I would actually like to see the Bills win a game when they pass for more than 30 times, on the other hand that means that they have to run at a minimum of 70 plays to keep the run pass ratio at lease 50/50. I'd be happy with getting 70 = plays in a game as that would mean that there would be fewer 3 and outs. -
If we win out, can we still get in?

http://www.upi.com/Sports_News/2015/12/08/Colts-quarterback-picture-murky/6271449557036/ INDIANAPOLIS -- If backup quarterback Charlie Whitehurst ends up playing for the Indianapolis Colts in the remaining four games, it would mark the first time since 2011 the team had three quarterbacks start games. With Luck and now Hasselbeck both disappointing and injured, the Colts are not sure who will start Sunday at Jacksonville -- or for the rest of the season. I guess I should have looked it up earlier. -

Who is QBing for Indy? -
Who is having a better season? Darby vs Gilmore
NOVABillsFan replied to FireChan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hard to say. Both are doing well. Fans have been critical Gilmore for a time (more so when the Bills lose) and Darby is a sparkling new toy. -

It still doesn't hurt to root against the NYJETS. Or NE* just because -
Charles Clay not worth the cash.
NOVABillsFan replied to Maury Ballstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
not quite right PP http://bills.buffalonews.com/2015/12/07/offense-finds-it-mojo/ The team made Charles Clay the third-richest tight end in the league. On a third and 1 during the Bills’ second touchdown drive – and, remember, Buffalo’s been dreadful on third down – McCoy took the snap, faked the reverse to Marcus Thigpen and gained five yards behind Clay and fullback Jerome Felton. Replay Taylor’s eight-yard touchdown. Roman overloaded the right side of the line with three linemen - flipping the left tackle Glenn to the right. Clay, the de facto left tackle, got to Brian Cushing at the second level. Felton chipped a pair of defenders. And the Bills will take Taylor one on one with a linebacker all day. -

and to do so you picked every upset you could for KC, OAK, PIT, HOU, NYJ. Sure it's fun to find a way, but why kid yourself. Every game is important and a W is needed. -
Why is Sammy Watkins not returning punts now?
NOVABillsFan replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
because then may need him to go deep on the first play from scrimmage. why risk it? -
I agree they are RW #'s and style. Coincidentally what happened when he got his $? Are the Seahawks a SB team this year? How many QB's can we name that got a big contract then stalled out in performances? I like what Tyrod is doing, he is the clear starter, but I would like to see another full season before I would want to spend on a big contract only to see the worst happen. As you mentioned - Tyrod is not going anywhere to where the Bills have to jump the gun too quickly. Isn't that the point he was making. See what you have for at least 2 or more seasons?
-
IIRC 2 of the last 3 games Tryod passed for more than 30 times, the last for 22 times. Under 25 passes per game Tyrod is GOLDEN all wins. Over 30 passes per game and the team is 0 for 3 (?) What this is telling me is that they are trying to emulate Seattle's offense. Fewer passing leading to better completion ration and less INT risk and a strong running game. Another thread polluted by an EJ rant.

See numerous playoff threads or use the ESPN playoff machine. I think KC needs to lose 3 of 4 for Buffalo to pass them with their sweep. You need to take it one week at a time This week root for Cincinnati vs Pittsburgh NY Jets vs Tennessee Kansas City vs San Diego and just in case Houston vs New England -
