  1. The thread was started by the Buffalo Bills Security Department--looking for leakers. 😄
  2. I remember Ray Bishop's Food King on Elmwood. It is now Mr. Goodbar. We shopped at Bells on Delaware near Delevan.
  3. A domed stadium would have never been funded. Pegs was just reading the room.
  4. What sucks is that dark pit of time between the end of hockey season and the beginning of football. Baseball just doesn't float my boat. The hub-bub of the NFL draft and training camps helps a little bit, but it's still a dark period.
  5. Season length: 1947-1960: 12 games a season 1961-1977: 14 games a season 1978-2020: 16 games a season 2021-present: 17 games There's talk of an 18 game season. Some of those "a season" records from the older eras are impressive given the reduced number of games they played.
  6. Here we are three days later and I'm still happy about the Patriots loss. It warms the heart. As Cousin Eddie says "It's the gift that keeps on giving" The joy of the Patriots losing offsets the "livid" of the loss in Denver. Thanks, Seattle.
  7. Diggs performance was noticed by more than Pats and Bills fans. He made a national satire magazine:
  8. I was impressed by Hoecht, for the two quarters he played.
  9. I made it. It went down to -9. It's going to go up to a tropical 20 this afternoon. In East Aurora NY, they had to cancel school because the school buses would not start.
  10. Yep. Brady and Carmichael are from the same coaching tree (Payton). I can't remember when the last time a Bills head coach and OC were aligned in philosophy like that. That's going to be big. +3 for the hire. Contrast that to the misalignment of defensive minded coach McDermott (Reid tree) with offensive minded coach Joe Brady (Payton).
  11. A healthy Hoecht and Ed Oliver will give boost to 2026. And Taron Johnson and Christian Benford are reasons for optimism. We always have Damar Hamlin.. ha ha.
  12. How recent actions affect my future outlook: Firing McDermott: -5 Retaining Beane: -3 Hiring Brady: +3 Hiring Leonard: +3 Hiring Carmichael: +3 NE losing the Super Bowl and looking bad: +2 Net: +3 +3 isn't bad. Technically, it's an improvement.
  13. It's going to be -7 tonight. That's right, "minus freak'in seven"
  14. Maybe people know they are going to get slaughtered by Seattle. That would dampen enthusiasm. OTOH, if they win we'll never hear the end of it from those obnoxious fans.
  15. I voted Bryan Thomas Jr because in football and in life, I shop for the best value. Note, value shopping does not mean the cheapest: A value shopper is a consumer focused on obtaining the maximum benefit, quality, and utility for their money rather than solely seeking the lowest price. They are typically well-informed, conduct thorough research, and evaluate purchases based on a balance of price, functionality, and long-term worth. Of the options in this scenario, BTJ is the best value. I wish Beane were a better value shopper. Some of the fat contracts, especially extensions, he has handed out boggle the mind.
