Hail to other 50+ years Bill's fans. We have suffered a long time.
Why can't a simple business decision be made here? If, year after year your company fails (and I am only talking a couple of years) and you have made several unsuccessful management changes... it is very simple... you remove the top guy (our buddy Russ).
The other option is that if your company is financially successful (as the Bill's are, due to our ridiculous loyalty). You are satisfied with the status quo. I fear the Bills continue in this mode.
I think of Pegula as a "fan's owner and sure hope he looks at the team as failing (in a win/loss perspective). If so please, please get rid of the snake oil salesman or reduce his position to just marketing (and do'nt tell me they have).
Go Bills!
All this talk about salary cap, will he fit, etc.? Don't you realize it will depend on where he fits with Russ's Marketing Plan?? Although he has nothing to do with football decisions,,,
No, the ultimate salesman is our buddy Brandon. He saw this hire as a way to sell tickets. Please, please get Brandon out of this organization. If we just fire Rex, Brandon will once again be involved with the hiring. Why so many stand up for him is beyond reason.
James was returning an interception when he suffered the career ending knee injury. I was at that game and saw my favorite player go down. It seemed like the air went out of the stadium. Good comment about today's medical improvements. I wonder if he may have been able to come back if it happened in this era.
His "two cents" on the Ryan hire were not for building a team but to enhance marketing value. It is a shame how involved he is with the organization. Purely marketing ok, but his input on operations is a disaster. He is the President but does not contribute to football decisions... right! He is a continuous ball and chain on this team.
Don't worry, Brandon will find some way to market this team. I really envision him in Pegula's ear last year promoting what the hiring of Rex would do for season ticket sales.
There are so many Brandon lovers... no matter what is said about his lack of involvement in football decisions I don't believe it for a minute.
He obviously is not going anywhere, he is involved in the decisions and it does not help..
I would have like to see the organization make an announcement treating Fred with as much dignity and class as he has shown. To hear the cold, hard fact (although it is a cold, hard business) through a reporter just doesn't seem right.
