  1. 6'5" 245lbs Had injury issues in college and with the 9ers.
  2. Not that I'm saying this happened, but if I'm an NFL team and I'm going to bother having physicals guys are peeing in a cup for me. If I claim a fringe guy on waivers and he's got a hot urine during my physical it seems to me he just failed his physical.
  3. 5-11 Wins: @Baltimore San Francisco @Miami Cleveland Miami Losses: Jets Arizona @New England @Los Angeles New England @Seattle @Cincinnati Jacksonville @Oakland Pittsburgh @Jets
  4. I wouldn't be shocked to see both Kruger and Coples come in if they can be gotten relatively cheaply. Alexander is still a question mark (though he's looked pretty good), Lawson hasn't provided much in the way of pass rush over his entire career and our depth situation at that position is ugly right now. Biermann was underwhelming and beyond that you're looking at an UDFA
  5. Joe Licata is currently a Bengal and I think they'd be a little upset if we tried to sign him today. Now, they might sign him (or someone else who gets cut) on Tuesday if the Bengals release him and Austin Trainor might not even make it to the game on Thursday.
  6. Deaderick had 2 tackles for loss in 17 snaps last night. Also, players with less than 4 years of service time have to be waived/injured until the first cut down day not the second so Gragg and Ragland will go to IR on Tuesday, Dowling will likely be waived/injured. When you're counting remember that Listenbee, Easley, and Lawson are on Active/Reserve lists so they count against the 75. They will count until the 53 cut day when they'll be shifted to PUP and no longer count.
  7. Or if Mo Lewis doesn't hit Drew Bledsoe and tear an artery in his chest Brady never plays that year, we never hear about him and Belichick is probably fired THAT season.
  8. Yeah, I just edited that post. see above.
  9. I don't think Dez is that option either. I'd really LIKE Little to be the guy, I feel like he has the most upside of any of the options but if he still hasn't fixed his biggest issue (the drops) then I'm not sure I can trust him in a reserve role where he might only see one ball but he REALLY needs to catch that one ball.
  10. I thought that in order to put a player on IR during the preseason they had to clear waivers - whether we want to try to bring him back or not. IK was waived prior to going onto IR with us for example. Certainly we wouldn't try to pass Ragland through waivers so I think he has to be on the final 53 if only for 5 minutes. edit: I was partially correct. Up until the first cut date players with less than 4 years of service time have to clear waivers to go on IR. As of the first cut date those players can be placed directly onto IR so that's what will happen with Ragland (and possibly Gragg if they want to re-sign him next year) on Tuesday.
  11. I'm not sure I want him in the room with Marcell right now. Other than that, on a strictly football level, you do it in a second. I was thinking about Chris Manhertz. We had him in the building last year, the Saints picked him up but have at least 3 TEs ahead of him. He's a guy they could try to be sly with and release.
  12. What you hope is that our pro-personnel people have their eyes on a couple guys that someone will try to sneak through to the PS. Maybe a young guy, ultra athletic but super raw on a team with decent TEs and high expectations for the season
  13. Chandler retired last year after he jacked up his knee again.
  14. It won't be this week but Aaron Williams. He dropped that ball last week as per the stupid rules - I didn't think that part was questionable. The validity of the rule is HIGHLY questionable though. Tonight? Meh, it was a 50/50 call. The bigger issue with Little was the drops earlier in the game - those were his giant issue in Cleveland and he had at least two tonight - one egregious.
  15. Three preseason game in the books and the Bills need to cut down to 75 by August 30th at 4pm. Who survives? Remember players on PuP or IR don't count. -edited to include 2 Active/PuP players and 1 Active/NFI player who count against the 75 man limit QB (3) Tyrod Taylor EJ Manuel Cardale Jones RB (6) Injuries influenced this a ton LeSean McCoy Reggie Bush Mike Gillislee Jonathan Williams Boom Herron James Wilder Jr. FB (2) Robert Felton Glenn Gronkowski WR (8) Sammy Watkins Robert Woods Marquise Goodwin Greg Salas Walter Powell Jarrett Boykin Greg Little Marcus Easley Active/PuP Kolby Listenbee Active/NFI TE (5) Charles Clay Jim Dray Nick O'Leary Blake Annen Jimmay Mundine Chris Gragg - I'm anticipating waived/injured with a settlement OT (6) Cordy Glenn Jordan Mills Seantrel Henderson Marquis Lucas Cyrus Kouandjio Chris Martin OG (5) Richie Incongnito John Miller Ryan Groy Jamison Lalk Cyril Richardson C (3) Eric Wood Fernando Velasco Robert Kugler K (1) Dan Carpenter P (1) Colton Schmidt LS - (1) Garrison Sanborn DL (10) Leger Douzable Jerry Hughes Lavar Edwards Marcell Dareus Kyle Williams Casey Walker Adolphus Washington Jerel Worthy Brandon Deaderick Shaq Lawson Active/PuP LB (10) Lorenzo Alexander Preston Brown Zach Brown Manny Lawson Brandon Spikes Bryson Albright Kroy Biermann Randell Johnson David Hawthorne CB (7) Stephon Gilmore Ronald Darby Nickell Robey-Coleman Kevan Seymour Corey White Sterling Moore Mario Butler S (6) Aaron Williams Duke Williams Robert Blanton Johnathan Meeks Corey Graham Colt Anderson RESERVE/INJURED Reggie Ragland IK Enemkpali
  16. Duke Williams is doing a pretty good job of cutting himself tonight.
  17. It's like asking if someone wants a donut with poop icing.
  18. Yeah I saw Philip Rivers picking up cans in the park for gas money the other day. it's a shame. If they were your team and went through the Ryan Leaf debacle I'd bet you'd be siding with the team on covering your arse.
  19. It's not unprecedented, it's just not happened recently. Bo Jackson was selected #1 overall one year and in the 6th round the next. I am comfortable saying that Bo Jackson was a heluva lot better football player than Joey Bosa. There's no way Bosa goes top 3 next year after a year off. Even if he does, he wasted a year of earnings (and earning on those earnings) and he's still 5 years away from contract number two instead of 4. Since the point of wanting the bonus money up front is the compound investment potential, not getting anything at all for a year is dumb. Let's say you're right and he's selected in a comparable slot with a comparable bonus and his second team capitulates and gives him his whole 14 million dollar bonus in 2017. The Chargers, IIRC, were willing to give him the 14 million by 2017 as well, just not all in 2016. While Bosa will still have the 14 million he'll miss on any investment potential on that money. Like I said, that's why he wants it now. Any scenario in this case Bosa loses. The other reason he could use for wanting it all in 2016 is if his agent has trepidation about the tax code changing in 2017. If he "wins" and is redrafted in 2017 that reason for holding out is moot - it will already be 2017 and the tax code will be whatever it is.
  20. Because the agent and the agency are trying to establish firm precedent for the language to be removed for future clients and to use this "victory" as marketing for future clients.
  21. Because it sets precedent and they just don't want to. I think you're overestimating the impact. FAs will follow the money. You have people like Antonio Gates who have had contract squabbles telling the kid to knock it off and get to camp. I'm guessing that most veterans think the kid is out of line at this point.
