  1. The beginning of mine is the initials of the state that I live in and the first three letters of my last name. The MOE is from the greatest bartender of all time, Moe Syzlak from the Simpsons. The whole thing is what a co-worker used to call me back when I lived in Buffalo so it kind of stuck. I do have to say that a thread like this is nice every now and then. It beats the "Bledsoe sucks" threads and the ICE threads calling people idiots.
  2. Whewwww. Thanks for the research. The Bills really need some luck on their side for this but you never know. Just win and let the rest take care of itself, there's no other way to look at it.
  3. I'll second that. I do miss the Simoncast too. This is basically the only place that I get my Bills info now. I catch a little of the ESR during the week but the Simoncast was on at a perfect time for me. Oh well, from what I keep hearing about the City of Buffalo lately, it doesn't surprise me that another business is going down hill.
  4. You must remember that Steve lives in West Palm Beach, the highest cost of living area in all of Florida. The rest of Florida's cost of living is on par with the rest of the country, if not lower. I live in Central Florida, basically Orlando, and the taxes here, for example, on a $100,000 home are roughly $1000. In Buffalo, that tax amount is probably in the range of $3500. Also, there is no state income tax in Florida and the only thing that I find to be more expensive here than Buffalo is beer. That's it. I was down in the Boca Raton area last weekend, just outside of WPB, and that area is ridiculous compared to Orlando. I could, would, never live down there, just to damn expensive.
  5. I for one am never going back. I actually have a friend who posts on here once in a while, that moved to Tampa, then back to Buffalo only to move back to Tampa because he couldn't stand it up there anymore. Don't get me wrong, Buffalo is where I was born and raised, actually Cheektowaga, but I didn't want to spell that out, but it's not the nicest of cities anymore. If the crime, weather or the Bills inconsistent play don't kill you, the taxes surely will. Buffalo is a nice place to visit for a football game but I will NEVER live there again.
  6. The last line sums it up for DB. The line actually played fair against NE and DB still f%^&ed it up. The time for Losman is now Mike, please do the right thing as coach and pull the trigger!!
  7. Asking that is like asking why is the sky blue? Who the hell knows but it is. I just don't understand who Drew blew to be untouchable? Drew blew, good one, lol.
  8. I guess that time is coming soon, a Sunday in the not to distant future, that I will watch the Bills game from 1-430, getting all liquored up, just to go climb around on the roof and a ladder hanging lights. Joy!! It's looking like Miami Sunday that the lights are going up. I'm going to have to break out the bottle of Makers Mark for that one, lord knows you don't want to risk life and limb hanging lights just buzzed from beer alone. There's nothing better than stumbling up a ladder onto the roof with a good Bourbon buzz on ya.
  9. LOL, thanks Rich, I haven't been called an idiot..., well, since the last time you called me one. Anyway, since I live in Central Florida now, with my wife and 1 year old, it is a bit difficult to drive home for every game. I do make at least one a year but just can't justify buying season tickets for one game. I will be there in January for the Pitt game so that's two out of 8 or 10, depending on how you look at it. I guess I am an idiot for not driving 18 hours each way to get up there for the remaining games. Believe me though, I would if I could!! (note to self, do not say "call me an idiot" again while Rich is trolling the board, lol)
  10. ICE = RUDY :I starred in Brokeback Mountain:
  11. This is pretty funny, I'm going to have to check out the Publix near me to see if they have it. What area did they have this in Jeff? The Publix around the corner from me just had their annual "Holiday Fest" the other night, with all the free food and wine, and it was too crowded to notice if there was any "Buffalo Snow" around. I will check next time I'm there. Thanks
  12. When I'm back in Buffalo, friends and family always ask me "what do you miss about home"? My response is always, "I don't miss Buffalo, the weather or the economy but I do miss seeing friends and family but more than anything, I miss going to Bills games." Every March, I am constantly checking the NFL site to find out the Bills schedule for the upcoming year so I can make my plane reservations to the home opener. Call me an idiot, a moron or whatever you wish but the point is that I'm addicted to being a Bills fan and I always will be, win or lose!!
  13. Hi taterhill, I'm an idiot too. Though I no longer have season tickets, I did have them for 10 years from 86 to 96. Since I no longer live in the Buffalo area, it's rather senseless to have season tickets that I can't use. I am addicted to the extent that I haven't missed a home opener since 83 and will continue to be there for every one for as long as I can see. I also make the occasional trek during the season and will be there for the Steelers game. Keep the faith and stay the course. As for the bickering about this post, get bent. This actually is a good post showing that just because the team is in somewhat of a tailspin following Sunday nights debacle, they are still our team, from our town and we will cheer for them no matter what they do.
  14. I couldn't have said it any better myself. AMEN I don't disagree with all of ICE's posts, I do think that when you do disagree with him, he does resort to uncalled for name calling which is absolutely childish in this forum. This is a message board where you are allowed to state your opinion and shouldn't have anyone resort to abusive name calling just because they disagree with you. I'll second the notion for post of the year!!
  15. Honestly, I don't see any reason why you can't but the one from Circuit City, you still will end up paying the $4.99 a month to Directv for the service anyway on the new receiver/DVR. Just do it and call them to give them the card number and where it's going to be located. I don't think they have a strict rule as to which DVR you use. I've gotten two from DTV and one was a RCA, the other was Hughes, which melted down after a month. Good Luck. BTW, I'm considering adding another DVR and was going to buy one at Best Buy.
  16. MOD???? Can we get the name "Bledsoe" to come out as "Transmission" from now on? Please, lol.
  17. Sometimes people really need to check the facts before posting. DB - at the time geno, I'm sure you along with every other Bills fan applauded this move. Considering the choices at the time, this was the right move at the right time. Just remember going into that draft, AVP was the starting QB and their weren't any worthwhile QB's to be had. MW - see above, at the time, it was the logical pick considering needs. Granted he isn't an All-Pro but given what was available, he by far was the best Tackle, even over McKinnie. If you don't think so, check the Vikings board. CW and RD - The draft is a crap shoot and that particular draft was one of the thinnest drafts on record. TD took best available at positions that we needed depth. I highly doubt, given the talent level, that TD was looking for All-Pros but looking for depth at positions that we were thin at. Big Ben - your point here is ridiculous, there weren't any teams willing to make a trade unless TD was going to do a Ditka. This is just stupid to even bring up. JP - In essence, the Bills gave up a 2nd and a 5th to get a 1st for a 1st. Once again, the draft is a crapshoot and the list of QBs for this upcoming draft is about as thin as they get. This move actually was brilliant, IMO, considering that there were several teams ready to scoop JP up after the Dallas pick. Dallas alone would have taken him if they hadn't traded to get Henson. TV - injury prone? MORONIC. This guy has hardly missed any games throughout his career and the age issue doesn't make any sense because last time I looked, there were only a couple of CB's in the league that were any better and most of those are in the same age range. Plus the long term plan was to put him at FS. GW and MM - GW is probably going to be a better coach in this league if he finds the right OC. Also, GW's 1st season can be tossed out given the talent level thanks to Butlers mismanagement of the Cap. The last 2 years were poor OC's and the inablity of the QB to produce consistently. MM is a 1st year coach and there weren't very many coaches available with prior head coaching experience out there, except of course KG but since he was just fired, I don't think TD would have brought him back. MM will be a very good coach in this league with a better QB!!
  18. Didn't know that about JT and still didn't like him. He's an awful announcer and was even a worse QB. Regardless, he probably does account for a couple hundred of those bj's that TB got.
  19. Thanks. Don't get me wrong, I like LF and EM but I just don't see the leadership on this team. It is also possible that DB's leadership role on this team is like a cinder block tied to a feather and dumped in the ocean. He is taking everyone down with him, I don't know but something needs to be done to address the leadership issue one way or another!!
  20. London Fletcher. Call me crazy but I have a feeling that he isn't the team leader that he's made out to be. I would also say Eric Moulds. These are the supposed leaders on this team and by the looks of things the past couple of years, this team has absolutely no direction. Call it a hunch but both of these guys could be gone by draft day 2005.
  21. http://www.thebrushback.com/previous_issue.htm Tom Brady Receives Yet Another Blow Job FOXBORO, MA--Tom Brady, quarterback for the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots, received yet another blow job yesterday, this time from a female fan outside a St. Louis nightclub. The incident marked the 364th blow job Brady has received this year, breaking the previous mark held by the 49ers Joe Montana. “I was walking out of this nightclub and I got approached by a female fan,” said Brady, recalling the incident on Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel. “I just assumed she wanted to blow me, so I pulled my pants down right there and waited. Sure enough, I was right. I’m just glad someone is keeping track of these things. This is the kind of record that you dream about breaking when you’re a kid.” Just too funny to pass up though I honestly thought that he and Jeff Garcia were an item.
  22. LMAO!! JP isn't that vertically challenged!!
  23. Personally, I always liked shopping at K-Mart nad Sears so this actually is a good thing in my opinion. I can not stand WalMart and I refuse to shop there. The place is a dump, the workers are morons that don't help you at all (contrary to what Paul Harvey says) and the people that shop there are probably some of the most disgusting people I have ever seen. I will take K-Mart or Target over WalMart any day.
  24. Now that's funny It is the beginning of deer season so if you go with the antler head, watch out.
  25. I know I don't agree with you all the time ICE but JS is pretty much dead on with this article. JS, for the most part, is an !@#$ but he finally wrote what most Bills fans are thinking. The DB experiment/era is over. It's time to start the JP Losman era in Buffalo. Obviously, he can't do any worse than DB. Actually, at this point, Sam Wyche might be an improvement at QB over DB. Bench his sorry a$$ and let the fans have something to cheer about because this team doesn't have the heart or desire to win knowing that DB isn't able to do the job.
