He's a reliable pass-catcher and makes plays in traffic. He's a below-average blocker, but he's tough, and he competes

Pre-Draft Analysis Cody Ford Ford is a massive, overpowering drive blocker with a nasty disposition. He plays with good balance and rarely gives ground to bull-rushers but is a better run-blocker than pass-blocker. He's a little heavy-footed sliding laterally, and his hand placement is inconsistent. He has starting experience at guard and tackle.

With that being said and we all know that Allen loves to go deep. He might already have enough deep weapons with Robert Foster and burner John Brown along with Zay Jones. This makes me wonder does Allen have enough protection that will allow him the time in the pocket to make those deep throws on a consistent basis? While I like Irv Smith at TE, I can't help but wonder if the team wouldn't be better off with Jawaan Taylor, Cody Ford instead. EDIT, I wouldn't mind Dalton Risner either.

All he could do was talk him up over Allen in last years draft.

Hey, I'm a Bills fan and I hope he falls on his face too. The Jets only won one of their last ten games and that single game was against Buffalo. The Bills were unable to sack Darnold and got to Allen three times. Judging by the turnovers his last season at USC and with the Jets last year all I can think of is Mr ButtFumble... who is also from USC.

I'm not trying to prove any point! All I did was say that I thought they drafted the wrong QB at #3. Meaning I liked Josh Allen more. And you jumped to his defense. Would you rather they drafted Allen and the Bills selected Darnold?

Dunno why the hostility from pointing out I didn't like the pick, or why. McCoy had fewer rush yards. That Bills O line last season was one of the very worst that I can recall. The Bills offense overall surrounding the QB was far worse IMO. Relax willya, I don't hate the kid. I just didn't want him in Buffalo.

cool, lots liked Darnold. I didn't like Darnold or Rosen as the former had 22 turnovers in 2017 at USC (13 INT's, nine fumbles) and the latter was noted to be not so durable. Darnold was on a pace to break Peyton Mannings rookie interception record until his injury last year and he went 4-9 with the Jets.

Man 0 man what a selection even after 7 are taken. My money is on an OT, WR, TE.

Josh Rosen to the Dolphins with a new defensive-minded HC...on the worst talented team in the AFC. I almost feel sorry for Rosen... almost.
