  1. It's lower for a reason and it's directly linked to talent and pedigree. He could've stayed with San Francisco at a much higher rate, this is true. The option he declined was worth $16.9m. The flaw with some of this, from my point of view, is if he was solely interested in money, why would he have sabotaged his earning potential in such a grand manner?
  2. Definitely something to keep an eye on. Although I think there would be more merit to put a chip in game balls to replicate realistic throwing scenarios & platforms rather than chucking it in shorts inside a dome.
  3. Honestly, if you're not pressed with short-term cap issues, signing him to a solid contract could be a good thing. Sure, there's plenty of people that didn't like the way he's conducted himself but there's also plenty that stand by him. Plus there's the added PR potential because the guy seems to be putting his money where his mouth is. A chunk of that cap hit looks destined for charitable donation.
  4. I'm intrigued by the data but there's a bunch of guys that data wasn't recorded on. A few of which, from watching them, I'd consider candidates to be on the borderline of the threshold.
  5. The whole point is that we don't really know what Colin is asking for. I've seen supposition but that could quite easily be from the mouth of someone with an agenda.
  6. I'm curious if the magic number becomes 54 if Dak backs up a decent rookie season.
  7. In my interview yesterday, I was asked about my greatest achievement. If this was posted 24 hours earlier, I would've said this. May change my Twitter bio to "Barometer for scepticism regarding Nathan Peterman".
  8. 56% career passer, 5 more turnovers than touchdowns, 71.5 passer rating. Kinda wonder how Boyst thinks he can be developed at 27 And just in case anyone needed a Gabbert refresher, allow our favourite Irishman to help: https://twitter.com/Cianaf/status/777914214765694976 https://twitter.com/Cianaf/status/780498918446620672 https://twitter.com/Cianaf/status/780504475559690240 https://twitter.com/Cianaf/status/780505586790260768
  9. I'll be honest, I didn't know the rule until I saw Sal tweeting about it a little while back. I believe he suggested it for Zach Brown when it seemed that his market wasn't looking too promising.
  10. Ryan Succop is by far my favourite player with the tag. It might sound like a bit of a harsh title, as the OP suggested, but the drafting of a kicker that late doesn't register on the radar for most fans without it.
  11. @RapSheet For the #Vikings and new WR Michael Floyd, it's a 1-year-deal worth roughly $1.5 million with incentives up to $6M, source said.
  12. Absolutely awful news for Chris and his family. I can't imagine the void that's been created in his life, losing a partner of 30+ years. I know that Del Reid and 26Shirts are hoping to do something in Kathy's memory. If I see anything more concrete in the near future, I'll share it.
  13. From now on, I shall call you BuzzFeed
  14. For the record, as of today, players will not count against the compensatory pick formula.
  15. @RapSheet Former #49ers LB Gerald Hodges is visiting the #Jets today, source said. Played for the #Vikings before that.
  16. "What exactly is your job?" is coming on Friday.
  17. Given what I had for breakfast, I'm going for destiny.
  18. The Queen's English. I talk what is proper, guv'nor.
  19. I'm guessing some competition at SLB. Liked him out of ASU, done bugger all in the league so far.
  20. That's it. Spero annoys me next season, I'm sending him all the Wham! he can handle on Twitter.
  21. Honestly, his worst trait was being paired with Spero Dedes, the insufferable !@#$ stick. Solomon seems like a lovely fella, hope he lands on his feet.
  22. And Tommy was probably the 3rd best QB in the Big Ten last year
  23. You're very kind but I'm not nearly smart enough to even consider applying for a place there yet. The chance to build a rapport with guys that have NFL ties would be a nice thing to have though. Pretty sure they have over a dozen international students this year, including 4 from Brazil. I've seen low-end figures in the region of $40-50,000 a year up to low 6 figures for scouting positions, depending on experience/seniority. It sounds like a depressingly lonely job as well, I'm made for it Kirby would know better than I do though. They also prep guys for college positions.
