It's also partly due to expectations of teams drafting a QB. A lot of the teams in the early portion of the order have recently invested at QB or have entrenched starters. Things may change if Brees/Flacco/Bradford falter during 2017.

Justin Blackmon washing out hurt my soul. His on-field talent and that lovely friendship with the sick kid captivated me. Hard for me to look past Calvin Ridley this year. I know he's 23 1/2 by the draft as a junior but his peaks are as good as anything I've seen. Good year for 'my guys' at WR too, Allen Lazard, Simmie Cobbs & Jester Weah all seniors.

I recently listened to the Move The Sticks podcast episode about the Manning passing academy. DJ was talking about a bunch of guys that attended. His guest Rhett Lewis said that, despite being in a spread scheme, Mason Rudolph pretty much has full control of the offense on the field. To the point that he almost fought his center for control over protection calls. I'm now wondering if he'll be the whiteboard savant of the class and impress teams in that regard.

The circumstances will be slightly different with this being the search for the franchise guy, not TJ Yates and a backup on Day 3. I get your point though There's so many storylines to watch out for this season, I'm almost treating it like a soap opera.

I've had similar thoughts with someone like Josh Sweat. Pair him in the 1st with someone like a Luke Falk, I'd consider that a big win. I think, stylistically, Rick Dennison would bang the table for Josh Allen. Quite whether Allen progresses as a passer and Dennison gets a say in the matter is yet to be seen.

Just think, we could've had Dak Prescott. That's how we deal with terrible draft picks, isn't it? So long, Baby Adolph.

He's exactly the same player that he was when he was kicked out at Mizzou. The knock on him is that he's far too lazy and unwilling to apply himself enough to develop his craft. Agholor has been horrific in the NFL with his drops but the kid is trying to fix his problems, he's earned faith that DGB hasn't. If he could master his craft, he's top 10 NFL WR material. Unfortunately, he's just not willing to work for it.

I don't completely buy that idea. When you're that dominant running a concept, it points in the direction of teams simply struggling to stop you imposing your will. Potentially returning all 5 linemen responsible (or starting what I believe to be an upgrade at RT) and the same starting RB, the continuity is still there. I agree that the pass game will have to get better (and we will be passing more in '17). Tyrod will be put into a position to shut up some of the critics that think he can't execute off play action or on time. If he can really make the next step as a passer, especially on bootleg plays off the stretch run action, it'll make him so much harder to defend.

Myself and Karlos have had the same number of concussions. The possibility that this is true really scares me. Although I think he was a dick before his first documented trauma

The issues have existed for a while. I blocked him pre-draft for my sanity but that whole drama still found its way into my life. She's bad and he's worse. Battery case, the drug deal case, multiple concussions, multiple suspensions (this has to be his 5th-6th missed/failed test).
