  1. Surprised to see Edmunds out, thought he would recover in time. If Dodson is good to go and Miami does us a favor and declares Parker and/or one of their CBs out as well, I'll feel better about missing those guys. Either way, I still like the Bills in this game. Just might be a TD closer than it should have been.
  2. Surely it's far too early for this. The kid came from Oklahoma which is notorious (like other Big 12 schools) for simplified O-line play (2-point stances and wider alignments etc). He was always going to need some development and he's just switched positions again from OT to OG where most thought he projected better. Obviously some mixed results on the field so far, but it's early and we've seen some growth (his performance against Denver last season comes to mind). All I'm saying is give the kid a chance before putting him on the trade block.
  3. For what it's worth, seems like 4 out of 5 posters on the Dolphins message board are predicting a double-digit Bills win. https://finheaven.com/threads/final-score-bills-v-dolphins.361776/page-2
  4. You can guarantee that SAR I is currently spouting off on the Jets forums that the Jets actually beat the Bills because Bell missed some of the game and Darnold is still better than Allen. Back in the real world, I can't wait to play the Jets again in Week 7.
  5. Think we should expect to see more targets for Beasley, Knox, and Davis this week as Diggs and Smoke are matched up against Byron Jones and Xavien Howard. I still think Diggs is basically un-guardable and Smoke has the speed to burn either CB 1-on-1, but we should have a wider advantage against the rest of Miami's secondary with our other weapons. Our run game should be significantly more efficient this week as well. Excited to see Moss get more opportunities to force Miami into some 'business decisions.'
  6. The good news for Darnold and the Jets is that he doesn't have to play our defense every week. Bet his stats and overall performance improves over the next few games.
  7. Haha you got me there. I was mostly focused on the hands and not fumbling.
  8. The play-calling in the first half genuinely looked like what the Chiefs, 49ers, and the good McVay Rams run. Jet motion, TE screens, two RB backfields, 3-4 WR sets almost every play...better execution puts us up 35-0 in the first half. The second half didn't go as well and we went a bit conservative but the signs are good that this offense can take the next step.
  9. Interesting that Miami only had 87 rushing yards in a game that was pretty close throughout against a team that is without all of its starting LBs from last year. Jordan Howard had 7 yards ON 8 CARRIES. If we can limit their run game to the same degree (Edmunds hopefully being back) and with Parker likely out, our pass defense should dominate. On offense, dip Josh Allen in a vat of pine tar + airplane glue and let him run with the football. SORTED.
  10. Joe Burrow with the first of 256736527 career TDs...
  11. Run game probably needs more time to gel but the Jets were #2 run defense in the league last year. It's literally the one thing they excel at. Same as the Bass situation, let's see what these guys look like against Miami at the very least before making any decisions.
  12. Just a heart-breaking moment/injury for Drue Tranquill there, looks like his season will be over. Was one of my favorite Notre Dame players of the last decade or so, thought he would be great on the Bills. Drafted in the lower rounds by the Chargers, earned a starting job in year 1, and was looking like a great player for them. Hope he can recover and get healthy soon.
  13. Diggs is worth that 1st round pick already. Made play after play for us and frees up our other weapons as well. Amidst all the anxiety and chaos that was this game, just surreal to see him out there in Bills colors.
  14. I'm more of a Josh Allen glass half-full kind of guy, but it's probably fair to say that game didn't move the needle on his perception at all. Lots of material for the fans and haters alike.
  15. McDermott has been much-maligned in past years for game mgmt and deservedly so in many cases, but I do like his timeout strategy when we are on defense/ST. Even up by a decent margin, just intelligent football to see what play the opponent is running and then call timeout to discuss/force them to change out of their desired play.
  16. 100%...also Braden Mann looked like a much weaker punter once they flipped directions for the 4th qtr. Would not be surprised to hear a lot of post-game commentary about the conditions.Technically, Bass was 3/4 despite all that (albeit on some shorter kicks).
  17. Agreed! And Justin Zimmer (the DT off the practice squad) as well...guy made at least two drive-killing plays early in the game.
  18. Wasn't pretty (and I think most of us knew it wasn't likely to be given the crazy preseason), but got the W. In 2020, I'll take it. As a sidenote, need Milano and Edmunds to get healthy ASAP.
  19. It does look that way so far, but we have to factor in the crazy wind inside the stadium as well. If he looks the same way against Miami in hopefully normal weather, then we have a problem. Think we need to give the kid a fair shot.
  20. Wind is crazy in the stadium today and we're facing the opposite direction now. Let's give Bass another week before making any drastic moves.
  21. Commentators just adding to my anxiety at the time I least need it!
  22. Poyer has been low-key clutch for this team for a couple years now. Knack for the big play Now the offense has to make this count!
  23. As much as I was interested in the Bills drafting Braden Mann, he is constantly out-kicking his coverage and costing the Jets field position today.
  24. Agreed, right side of Ford and Williams looks like an upgrade (so far) over what we had last year.
