  1. I'm usually an optimistic Bills fan, super disappointed, but feel good about the way Josh played and a lot of the young talent on offense in particular...but hard not to feel like Creed Humphrey and Trent McDuffie being in KC will always haunt me given how easily they could have been cornerstones in Buffalo. I cringe a bit every time I hear their names. Underrated takeaway from the game...Mahomes will get all the accolades, but I don't think the Chiefs win that game without Pacheco. He runs different. Helped prolong so many of their drives and put points on the board instead of punts.
  2. All about finding that roster spot for him but I like betting on physical traits / upside especially at a position of need!
  3. Always pass on BIG 12 WRs who body catch and can't run a full route tree...never thought Johnson was a fit with the Bills, much prefer Addison or Flowers.
  4. Has little T-Rex arms. Not convinced he'll be able to win consistently in the NFL, the Ed Oliver comparisons could be spot on.
  5. Good stuff as always man...I notice no Zay Flowers on this shortlist, is that down to his small size/catch radius? I don't think he tested as well as his tape would have suggested either. Guessing you wouldn't be happy with Flowers at 27 then?
  6. I definitely rate Gonzalez as a player and a really good draft pick at 17, but saying "I love that Columbia is able to look up to me" is a supremely weird quote.
  7. Ugh Patriots with a great pick/great value in Gonzalez. Not usually like them...
  8. Holy smokes is Forbes skinny, looks like an ultra marathoner rather than a football player. 6 defensive TDs is impressive, but wow I don't know...another size anomaly in this draft class
  9. McDonald's a solid player, elite bend and motor. Bills were interested in him I think. Good fit for the Jets scheme, but seems a bit reach-y. Possible they panicked after the Steelers stole Jones from them. Would have taken Nolan Smith instead who's got those same traits, but offers significantly more as a run defender.
  10. Hoping none of JSN, Gonzalez, or Nolan Smith go to the Jets...
  11. Whoever was holding up the energy drink to make sure it was in the shot the whole time Broderick Jones was getting drafted and having his moment has no shame lol
  12. Not an RB in the first round guy, but I can somewhat buy into Bijan Robinson at #8 who projects as a generational type player. However, I don't get taking Gibbs at #12 at all. An Alabama man's James Cook who we obviously took on Day 2.
  13. Wow Wright was a guy I thought the Bills had a chance at...moves so well for a guy his size
  14. Agreed, immediate replacement for losing Javon Hargrave in FA...Carter's a stud, just needs to keep his head on straight
  15. Witherspoon will be a great one. Earlier than I thought he'd go but Seattle is rebuilding the Legion of Boom 2.0
  16. I would take Richardson over Levis if I was Indy but you can usually count on Irsay to meddle and make the wrong call
  17. Texans just took their Allen/Edmunds shot to get their future captains on offense and defense. Not sure how much they had to give up but just impressed that the Texans have a clear strategy, wonder when we need to start taking them a bit more seriously...
  18. A lot has been made about Stroud's cognitive testing which I agree is a concern, but the other potential red flag for me is it's highly doubtful he'll ever have better WRs in the NFL than he did at OSU. Brian Hartline doesn't miss, it's insane!
  19. This x 1000, hope we can do the same! So much potential with the Central Terminal!
  20. This feels like a draft where the prototypical size at every position is being challenged, lots of anomalies starting with Bryce Young...I wouldn't want to draft him at #1, but we'll see!
  21. Kenneth Gainwell is a DUDE...wish he was on the Bills. Was just a fifth round draft pick too!
  22. Definitely agree with this, one of the more underrated factors in why the offensive line struggled IMO was the signing of Saffold and the subsequent displacement of Bates from LG to RG. I see what they were trying to do because of Saffold's history at that spot, but think it's easy to see with hindsight that it was the wrong call and wonder how things may have worked out differently with Bates at LG (his best position and with already established chemistry with Dawkins and Morse) and a different FA/draft pick at RG. Hoping that after this offseason, the 2023 offensive line could look something like this: LT- Dion Dawkins LG- Ryan Bates C- Mitch Morse RG- Andrew Vorhees (Day 2 pick out of USC, athletic and powerful run blocker with the versatility to play every spot except center) RT- Andre Dillard (FA signing) or Terence Steele (offer sheet as he's an RFA), somewhat established right tackles in this league that wouldn't cost the moon but could provide more steady play for us in the short term while Spencer Brown hopefully develops further and serves as the swing tackle. With this reshuffled offensive line, I think Josh wouldn't be running for his life nearly as much and our run game would be more consistently productive. The changes/upgrades also don't eat up an unrealistic amount of cap space and by using a Day 2 pick on Vorhees (could see him being 2nd or 3rd round depending on his combine), we still have our first rounder to hopefully add a genuine WR 2 to the offense. 23. Resilient squad...poor first half but our star players made big time plays when it counted! Love this team
  24. Greg Tompsett from Cover 1 was on Locked On Bills last week and said that Beane and the front office have structured a lot of these contracts with a lot of forward thinking to the point where he could easily maneuver the cap to create another $40-50 million in cap space after this season. Very happy Knox got paid and based on what GT said, there should be no issues with re-signing Ed Oliver and extending Gabe Davis when needed. We won't be a team that has much 'organic' cap space each year due to the QB contract and overall talent on our roster, but basically Josh Allen and others can restructure their contracts several times over to create space when we need it. What a time we're living in.
