  1. Remaining targets: Shelby Harris DE (would probably cut Murphy to accomodate this) Des Trufant CB Gordon/Freeman/Breida Depth OL (is Joe Haeg from Indy still available?)
  2. I actually like Freeman better as a player, just a bit worried about his injury history. But I'd be glad to have him on a team-friendly deal with lots of incentives and low guaranteed money. Breida or whoever gets the boot from SF's backfield would interest me as well.
  3. For some reason, I've liked the idea of signing Gordon a lot more once we traded for Diggs. Feels like we are pushing the chips in and an arsenal of Diggs, Brown, Beasley, Knox, Singletary, and Gordon would be pretty impressive. Hopefully a Claypool or Peoples-Jones in the draft as well. As long as it's no longer than 3 years and equal to or less than $5.5- 6 million AAV, I'd send the jet for him.
  4. Happy to see Poyer extended on what looks like a win-win deal. Reasonable money and years. I liked the idea of Reader a lot, but that contract Cincy just gave him is insane. Happy with our approach to free agency so far. My remaining calls would be to Chris Harris Jr., Des Trufant, Matt Breida/Tevin Coleman, Joe Haeg, Rashad Higgins, Dante Fowler, and a name I've not seen mentioned on this board yet...the other Harris on the Broncos, Shelby Harris. Think he's an interesting younger player and brings a different skill set than what we currently have at DE. Could be had for a potential bargain.
  5. Yeah agreed, good first day despite a lot of panic from some on here. Beane waited out the usual Day 1 frenzied overpays and made some smart buys. What would be your ideal Day 2? I think for me, getting either Reader OR Harris Jr. plus Breida OR Howard would be a dream. Also an edge like Quinn on reasonable terms if possible. Good luck to all and Go Bills!
  6. For sure, ideally I'd love to get Breida and then take a mid round RB like AJ Dillon/ Zack Moss/Lamichel Perine. But if we don't sign an RB in free agency, RB at pick #54 could be in play.
  7. Diggs on the Bills and Brady gone? Elated...could this actually be our year?
  8. Steady player and insurance at OT. Hope he is fully recovered.
  9. I know everyone says it going into the draft, but we are nearly in a position to truly draft BPA already and free agency hasn't even technically started yet. Well played Beane.
  10. Any interest in McGovern? Seems like good value to me and should just be entering his prime.
  11. UGH just mentioned this as a strong possibility a couple pages back...hate this. Unlike their other signings aside from Lawson, good move by the Dolphins.
  12. Indeed. Graham is absolutely washed. Bad contract for Da Bears.
  13. Good player who has always hurt us in big moments, hope he doesn't wind up in the division. I was sure Van Noy would wind up with Miami for a reunion with Flores, but I wonder if they've spent their quota on defense already.
  14. So the Dolphins are now paying $32 million a year combined for 2 CBs (who are great but not elite like Tre), $10-12 million a year for Shaq, and they have a lot of draft capital, but name one other player on their defense who you'd swap for one of our guys.
  15. Yeah that's fair, but free agency isn't over yet. In fact, it's barely started. And to your point, you don't get points for spending your cap space either. I like a few of the deals signed by other teams today, but other than the Lawson move, I would not be happy with how Miami has spent their money if I was a Dolphins fan.
  16. Damn Weatherly is genuinely the first guy I'm disappointed we didn't sign. He's young, signed for reasonable money, and looked great whenever he got a chance to play which wasn't a lot being behind two Pro Bowlers. Carolina did well on this one. On the plus side, we'll definitely be signing him in 2 years when this contract is up! ?
  17. 100%. As your quote said, the Bills now have the most cap space left of any team by a huge margin. We are great shape and should be able to get our guys without fear of being outbid. Aside from a couple deals (Hooper, Lawson, and Keenum who I would have been interested in but definitely got the Day 1 FA overpay), all the guys I was targeting are still there. Keep the faith!
  18. If Brady leaves the Pats (which I have doubts about but hoping Tampa will prove me wrong), we have a clear shot at the AFC East title. Dolphins are making wild moves/blowing their cap space and the Jets have no starting caliber O-linemen.
  19. I mean I kinda know what you mean but I wouldn't make that point when it comes to Clowney. He is literally the last of the biggest FA names I would want us to sign. Injury prone, tons of penalties, multiple stories of a mediocre work ethic, and disappointing production...and wants $20 million per year. PASS.
  20. Thought he would be well overpaid, but those are reasonable terms. Happy the Jets didn't get him, but probably a good move by Cleveland.
  21. Agreed, logic is on our side. However, PFF have admitted that they have posted content in the past that was specifically designed to instigate and upset Bills fans. Click bait tactics combined with presenting subjective grading systems as facts.
  22. Dolphins, Colts, and Bucs were the only three teams with more cap space than us before today. All three have gone out and signed huge deals on players I wouldn't have signed at those terms. I would assume that we now have the most cap space in the league now probably by a wide margin. I don't know if this is a fair analogy but here goes anyways. For those of you who play in fantasy football auction leagues, most teams will spend their whole budget on 2-3 of the top 20 players despite the prevailing wisdom of waiting and finding value in the middle rounds. You can build a strong and even team this way rather than putting all your hopes in a couple guys. Anyways, I'm ok with the patient approach so far and almost everyone I would have been interested in is still available.
  23. The details on that Spain deal look great for us. Guaranteed money is a lot lower than I expected.
  24. GET. THIS. MAN*. OUT. OF. OUR. DIVISION. Come on Bucs, be relevant for once and help us out.
