  1. First of all, it's a stupid rule. No one but KJ Wright was anywhere near the ball, certainly not any Lions. Had there been a Lions player in the vicinity and KJ batted it out of the end zone to prevent a TD, it should have been a penalty. Second, and more importantly: How many games this season haven't been decided by the officials? This league blows.
  2. Hate to admit it, but I sort of feel the same way. Here in the Pacific NW, Fox cut away during every Bills first half drive to show highlights from other games. Number of times they cut away from NYG drives? Zero. F 'em.
  3. Amen. Let Rex be Rex. He's going to be, anyhow. The game sucked, but it's just one game. And they could have quit down 37-13 in the fourth, but showed a lot of guts and never gave up. They'll get better. Think of it this way: we just lost to the defending SB champs. The Dolphins lost to the Jaguars.
  4. Maybe they should let the officials suit up. Ridiculous.
  5. TE? He should play QB and TE, and throw it to himself.
  6. Bills 27 Colts 17 Darby gets torched twice but also has a pick-6 that seals it.
  7. He, Lance Armstrong and Pete Rose can have their own special Hall of Fame.
  8. Everybody knows Tom Brady is guilty. What's being worked out here, through the media and in the courts, is how to let him get away with it. Would be interesting to know how much money is changing hands, and to whom. But who cares, really. Fug it. This is getting old. To me Brady is and always will be a cheater. Hope he is in there week two when we beat the ******* into submission.
  9. Feh, science. The media debunked that decades ago.
  10. Despite our conviction that this was "just a little joyride", it was our intention to accept any discipline levied by the league. Today's punishment, however, far exceeded any reasonable expectation, and completely failed to take into account the scientific evidence supported by the Ideal Gas Law.
  11. It was a horrible situation, but in my opinion if he wanted to be drafted Collins and his agent couldn't possibly have played it any worse.
  12. Obstruction is proof of obstruction.
  13. We're talking about conspiracy and intent to cheat, lying and obstruction. Whether PSI had any effect on the outcome of games is irrelevant; correlation to other perceived cheating is irrelevant. That having been said, the last time there was a conspiracy to commit illegal hits (NO) two coaches were out a year and several players punished far more than Brady will be - and that was for participation only, not for orchestrating the conspiracy.
  14. No. No way. If they had won and it turned out they cheated, I'd feel betrayed. This.
  15. Funny thing is, the truth has a funny way of coming out sooner or later. I can't imagine the suspended staffers were paid enough to take all the heat. If they were paid at all, that is more conspiracy...
  16. The media is playing us. Yesterday afternoon: Penalty was just, maybe light. Common sense. Yesterday night/today: Penalty is harsh, ridiculous, does not fit the crime. Paving way for consensus on reducing penalty. If this were a court of law, Brady would have to provide requested information and all parties would be subpoenaed and forced to cooperate or face obstruction charges. Since it is not law, but the NFL corporate policy, it does not apply. NFL fans should sue Brady and the Patriots and demand answers.
  17. Anyone who has kids knows Brady is lying. That's what this is really about. You don't get a free pass to cheat just because the cheating is inconsequential or because of a perception (misperception) that everyone else is cheating too. Ultimately, if the NFL were really serious about setting an example this latest defiance should increase their punishment, not reduce it. Just like you would do with your kid if he persisted in advancing a lie.
  18. Congrats to Kristjan Sokoli for getting drafted by Seahawks in RD6!
  19. How do you cut Fred with dignity? Cut everyone else first.
