  1. If they are smart, he should be. Hopefully the Bills dont dick around and go the 2nd round tender with him and work out a longer term deal, he's a perfect fit for the Dennison offense.
  2. Dare to dream!! I watched Jalen Myrick again last week while watching Wisc. and Wash. St., excellent bump and run CB, stays in phase on go's down the sideline, good job maintaining zone disciplines, competitive on a down by down basis, good CoD skills. Late locating the ball more than one would like, but has natural field speed that will match his track speed at the combine. Reminds me of Ron Brooks, but better general awareness on the field, love him in the 5th round range as a sub package guy that can handle spot duty on the perimeter. Can help in the return game is a bonus. No answer... Ill try back later.
  3. Kirk "Boogie" Cousins, lets make use of all our offensive weapons. If not for injury concerns I would say Romo.
  4. I agree with both of you with on Davis, personally I think he's the best WR in the draft, Williams wouldnt be the end of the world IMO. I agree with not sleeping on Jackson, but I dont think there is anyway he makes it out of the 2nd as his ability to help out in the return game will be a huge bonus in his favor. Very good in zone, but his ability in man is borderline awful with his back to the ball, he seems to lose all sense of direction and is technically raw, and peeks into the backfield too much causing him to lose his man. Footwork is inconsistent. Explosive and athletic clay for sure, could be developmental gold as a CB. Hester is a good comp, but IMO Jackson's ceiling as a CB is way higher than Hester's was a WR. While I would prefer C. Davis as well at 10 over M. Williams, im still cool with it myself. If it were to happen; I got the first round
  5. I can live with Williams in the 1st, I like King in the 2nd, but give me Budda Baker all day long in 2nd, then Howard or Douglas at CB in the 3rd and im loving the draft, Lawson makes little sense to me. 10 - Mike Williams (WR - Clemson) 44 - Budda Baker (S - Washington) 75 - Howard Wilson (CB - Houston) Just for Bandito Now that would be something to be excited about!!
  6. Im with you on Wilson, depending on how high your talking, lol! Looks really good in off coverages and has active eyes (see's the wr, qb and seems to get the big picture of the play infront of him). Athleticism is legit, well oiled swivel hips, and when he see's and decides he's going for it, he's moving on the play in a heartbeat, excellent change of direction and agility. Reminds me of Morris Claiborne in bump and run. Seems to trust his athleticism more than his technique, not always in phase in man and seems to like to stay within a radius of the receiver thinking he can make the play no matter what. I had him high on my watch list for next year and did not even know he declared. I worry about double moves and him "gambling" too much at the next level, but overall have not seen enough yet to really say for sure. I like him a lot, good ball skills. Ill have to get some more to watch, thanks for the heads up!! HIm and Douglas I like a lot as potential 2nd or 3rd round fits, both seem like late risers who could be great values after the 1st round. Edit: Is that some Marcus Peters I see in his game?? I'd be shocked if Budda makes it to 44 or out of the 1st round altogether myself.
  7. The 1st 3 picks alone make it a A+ draft for me, love all 3 guys and have Top 10, Top 20 and 1st Round grades on them. Anzalone and Dielman have some injury concerns, but are good players who could fall and would be solid gets, and Kelly... Why not in the 6th. Bandit's FA take would be a fairly solid prequel to the draft, and make for a solid off season IMO, although I am not sure who is QB1??? Taylor, Jones or Kelly....
  8. We definitely agree! Hopefully the front office starts thinking this way, if not outside the box altogether.
  9. Id add Thomas to the list, as I dont think he's that far behind Garrett and still a developing talent more so than Garrett. Either way I think its a good list
  10. I agree for the most part with this last statement, as long as there is a good QB prospect worth taking at 10. Question I ask: Where do you draw the line, if at all?
  11. Im not advocating, not taking a QB because of EJ, Im advocating taking a QB where they should be taken, or +1 round higher because of the positional value. EJ was a 3-4 round QB with a loaded physical tool box and good head on his shoulders, who was a 3 year project. The highest he should have been taken was round 2, and Im convinced the Eagles would have taken him in the 2nd, but the 1st was a giant stretch to begin with. If the Bills have a 1st round grade on Watson or Trubinsky, or whomever, and take them at 10, I would understand. However taking a 2nd round guy at 10 IMO is not understandable (taking a 3rd/4th round guy at 16 is stupid, IMO), thats a guy you trade up into late round 1 or early round 2 for. Preferably the former to get a extra option year. Take the quality positional player at 10 where the value is and land the possible QB of the future later.
  12. I see. You are certainly right about the history of drafting DB's and RB's. In 2006 they took Whitner, traded up for a pass rushing DT and took a corner in round 3, the problem IMO was Whitner was not worthy of that spot, McCargo was also a reach and round 3 and beyond is usually a crap shoot anyway. Yes it hurt the team, but if they had picked a Troy Polamalu type safety (hypothetically) instead of Whitner, I think things would have gone differently. IMO Jamal Adams and Hooker are head and shoulders better football players than Whitner was ever projected to be, and would help this team win in that he was the communicator on Defense for LSU that A. Williams was Buffalo and better in coverage. While drafting these positions hasnt worked out for Buffalo, I would say its safe to say that that there are many other factors causing this team to be ruined over the years. Tom Don drafted Mike Williams over Bryant McKinnie and Ed Reed... I talked to him around that time about that (Williams over McKinnie) and he basically said they wanted a man "who can block" other humans, I said he picked the wrong one and should have taken McKinnie (could have also had Ed Reed), he did not take it well, but point being you can pick those guys QB's (Losman), Pass rushers (Flowers and Maybin), and blockers (Williams) but it doesnt always work out. I think the Bills will continue to lose if they draft for need in a draft that is not shaping up to meet their higher end needs (QB and T) rather than drafting talent at other need positions. I also think Gilmore is leaving in FA, and Aaron Williams isnt making it through 2017 or going to retire prior to 2017, Darby slumped, Seymour is an unknown at best still and who is there at Safety? The secondary is a mess already, if Gilmore leaves and Williams gets hurt/retires Brady is going to throw for 600 yards against this secondary as it is/shaping up to be if they dont upgrade it and they wont beat anyone else of conciquence anyways as well as they are looking IMO. I agree that they need a QB and RT, but reaching on a QB got us Manuel, and this class of QB's looks similar to that one with people hyping and proping up guys even Mayock is backing off of.
  13. Yowzers, why is that? Do you not like the players or positions? Who would you take at 10 and 44 in place of Adams and Douglas? I appreciate the feedback and you taking the time to look!!!
  14. I used to post in this site, but havent in a while. Posted my 2 round NFL mock there just so it didnt take up a lot of space here and to see if the site is picking up again at all. Check it out if your interested and let me know what you think My 2 round mock: http://www.draftcountdown.com/forum/forum/draft-countdown-forums/mock-drafts/3116065-mock-mock-mock-back-in-the-saddle-again-2-round-w-thoughts
  15. I know what you like I hear you, Ive got a crush on Douglas, love Adams, Mahomes is my #1 QB and Hansen I just started looking at because of D. Jeremiah... I thought the fits were right as well, Douglas has some Sherman/Norman like qualities in zone IMO, so I think he would fit as well.
  16. I thought it was pretty solid... I am not sure the 1st 4 picks will be there at this time when the Bills are on the clock, but who knows... 10: R1P10 S JAMAL ADAMS LSU Happened to fall so I pounced... 44: R2P12 QB PATRICK MAHOMES II TEXAS TECH Not likely IMO, but if he does fall, I would pounce... 75: R3P11 CB RASUL DOUGLAS WEST VIRGINIA My draft crush right now, no brainer in the 3rd. 157: R5P12 WR CHAD HANSEN CALIFORNIA Maybe he falls, likely not, but should he I would ______..... 172: R5P27 LB JAYON BROWN UCLA Linebacker depth, good in man coverage, rotational coverage backer. 196: R6P11 S JOHNATHAN FORD AUBURN Every time I have seen him play, he was around the ball making plays, 6th round: why not?
  17. I was on the E Roberts train with you last year, not on the C Moore train this year, I don't see it.
  18. I expanded my top 10 to a top 20, included grades as I work stacking my board and the prospects themselves in this early version. I included my current ranking system which has changed over the years. Included a numerical equivalent I used to use. Always looking for constructive criticism and feedback, fire away . #1 Pick (Grade any draft Hall of Fame caliber player)(100) TOP 5 (Grade any draft Immediate elite level starter all-pro rookie)(99-95) 1 Myles Garrett (DE Texas A & M) 2 Malik Hooker (FS OSU) 3 Reuben Foster (ILB/OLB Alabama) 4 Jamal Adams (SS/FS LSU) 5 Leonard Fournette (RB LSU)(MedRF) 6 - Jonathan Allen (DT/DE Alabama)(MedRF) TOP 10 (Grade any draft Immediate impact starter long term all pro ability)(90-94) 7 Marshon Lattimore (CB OSU)(MedRF) 8 Solomon Thomas (DE Stanford) 9 Corey Davis (WR W. 19. Coverage wise for sure, tackling and run support? Not so much IMO. Thomas was a very good tackler coming out, took better angles and was much more of a sure tackler coming out of Texas. Edit: I do think Hooker can improve in those area's and become Earl Thomasesque.
  20. I agree, Would you draft Kupp (WR) with a mid 2nd round grade over a guy like Rosul Douglas (CB) with a late 2nd round grade in the 2nd round, if you needed a corner more and ran a running based offense with a QB who was not a very good passer?
  21. I could not agree more, #1 WR in this draft for me, IMO he's the most complete WR in this draft by far. I would be very disappointed if they took M. Williams ahead of him, and I still like Mike. I find it fascinating that I keep seeing him fall in mocks out of the top 10, I have him going 7 to San Diego in mine and would not be surprised one bit if he went before that. I had him as a top 10 (as a overall in any draft grade) and have seen nothing to deter that ranking.
  22. I am not privy to your disagreement with Kirby, just saying I agree with this part 100%. I thought at the time he was drafted a round too early by far and had a 3rd round developmental grade on him myself. The pick was bad on many fronts. FWIW: I will say that I was in Philly for a former college teammates wedding during the 2013 draft and remember listening to a radio station he told me was worth listening to for football/draft (no clue the station now, but the host he said was well connected to actual team sources) information and the radio host stating that he thought E.J. would have been the Eagles 2nd round pick for C. Kelly and would not have been there for Buffalo in round 2. Interesting that he also mentioned Mike Mayock saying Manuel was his #1 QB in the draft and he thought that thinking or the weight of him saying it had something to do with teams potentially and actually reaching on him. Would have been the Eagles mistake potentially if Buffalo had passed.
  23. I understand what you are saying here, but the long term potential would completely out weigh the short term thinking in this situation and that IMO is way more important. Whaley would get crushed until Hooker gets on the field and all those crushers start looking really silly. 6 months puts him back on the field before the season starts, 4 months and he's back before camp starts. Its like passing on Ed Reed for Lamont Thompson in 2002 because Reed was going to miss training camp and Thompson wasnt. I agree. I agree as well. All things equal between the 3 and Hooker fills the need ahead of the WR's I would still go Hooker. I also have Hooker rated ahead of the WR's so for me, I still go Hooker, even if he misses a couple of games.
