As long as Allen throws 300+ EACH & EVERY GAME I'm good..... -
Dan Le Batard FINALLY Eats Crow on Josh Allen

Amazed at the hate here for almost every media outlet, sports show and articles written. The national media is not Bills 24/7. The fact Lebatard has gone out of his way to talk Buffalo & goad on Bomani & Dominique (and those on his radio show) should be considered a positive and appreciated. The only one it seems applauded here is Adam Schein, who is a third teir personality at best (but he does like the Bills😜). -
Oh yea exciting comebacks, last minute wins, 3oo yard passers duelling back & fourth, quicker games, not as many great plays called back. Boy that sucks.... We need a 13-10 game where the Defense holds the Opposition on that last drive to a 3 & out, assisted by that offensive holding penalty on that compelted 4th down attempt. When was the last time a fan left a game and said boy that Watt vs. Donald battle was something else (vs. wow Allen & Goff or Wilson & Prescott put on a show) I miss those days...... Sheez......😡

I got it..... Sure 99% did not.....😜 Dan is a fun listen. Sometimes off the rails, but he went after Josh hard & now has changed his mind. Not everyone is a Buffalo Bills fan, so got to give them more time. Next Bill Simmons & Cousin Sal.....😆 -

I like him & his shows. It's irreverent and fun. Yep he made fun of Josh & I disagreed with him, but he has admitted he was wrong. Good on him. -
Week 3 PFF Grade of Josh Allen
Billsfan1972 replied to mykidsdad's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Play fearless...... That's a good one, how about coaching Fearless in 2019. Anyone remember that Pittsburgh game? This was the 2019 argument, which thankfully seems no longer one in 2020. I know we love Buffalo's core, but Cleveland seems to have one on par with Buffalo (and way better in 2019) and look what their "star" has produced to date. -
Week 3 PFF Grade of Josh Allen

Again anyone know where he was ranked week three? His Rating, QBR, yards & did throw an interception were all down from week two vs Miami where he ranked behind Darnold. Oh & with what I could see the headline as expected said Lamar was not that bad. https://www.pff.com/nfl/grades/position/qb https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-week-3-nfl-qb-review-patrick-mahomes-lamar-jackson-russell-wilson-aaron-rodgers -
Top Ten Deep Passers- JA at 8
Billsfan1972 replied to billsfan_34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Reading things like this makes me realize, I just don't care, because how Josh through 3 games is only 8th is idiocy. Now the (non)int hurts & dropped him (and an incompletion too)..... And I guess those over 15 yards (but <20) don't count. Oh but a 20 yard pass where the receiver runs another 50 probably counts more then the 50 yard one caught in the endzone.... My head hurts. The eye test is much simpler. -

And then the coaching staff for not getting him some help & better offensive schemes and coaching. And yes McD thought 20 points is enough to win every game (or at least go 9-7). What a circular argument. Ughhhhh..... You're right McD got the VERY very best out of Allen the first two years and exceeded everyone's expectations. And don't forget Daboll too.... -

Ughhhhh...... I give up..... I have laid out that I thought bad receivers, throwing the ball away, bad play calling & many other factors came into play. Where did you get 3-35. He was not chucking 7 deep balls/game in 2019 (and certainly almost no chance for Foster or Mackenzie to catch them)? -

Yes he has improved. I also think he could have been better last year and thus blamed the coaching. And having a small receiving corp with a case of the dropsies didn't help either.😜 -

Oh yea & they won 13 games in a row (& yes a 300 yard game) and won the SB his second year..... The Bills do the same with Josh Allen? Different circumstances to say the least. -

Yes a feel good post. But again that too comes with practice & game time situations. They were too conservative with Allen the first 2 years. I will not come off that stance & the #'s bare it out. -
Week 3 PFF Grade of Josh Allen

And again where did he rank in week 3? I believe 400+ yards 4 TD's, no Ints (or fumbles) didn't get him in the top 10.🤣 -

The way McD coached the prior 3 years, I'd say YES!!!! Again 48 games & not a single one over 300.... No team went a season doing that over that time period, much less 3. -

No I disappear after the season is over & yes my #1 concern is watching games that I can enjoy. Yes I said it over & over that I though Allen was hamstrung by the coaching and the offensive weapons they gave him. 2020 is a new story. I will freely admit that I'll be thrilled if the defense gets gashed all year if that means Allen throws 300+ and the Bills are winning. If you want 17-14 smash mouth, 1974 is calling.... BTW please remember the Bills record under McD pre 2020 was 25-23, the prior 3 years it was 24-24. -

Temper it, because I expect 300+ every game. Heck when you go back to the SB years, you realize that Kelly didn't do it that often. Yes I expect 4500 (minimum) to 5000+ yards this year & wondering is that reasonable? The point of the post is that I am truly excited and enjoyed the first three games more then the last 48, and yes that is 100% because of the offense played. -

Yep returned to the board once the national nightmare was over (48 games without 300 yards passing😜). I can't get over how much fun the first three weeks have been and that the offense is now imposing their will on opponents as opposed to whatever you want to call it in the past. I have pretty much held coaching responsible for Josh Allen's "shortcomings" and stand by it, but will now say am very impressed with how 2020 has started. However again I look at the two rookie QB's in Cincy & LA and again wonder why we held him back, which I know I posted many a time last year). While not winning (and not excpected to) Herbert & Burrow are getting valuable snaps and throws, that Allen was not from day 1. And those teams will know exactly what they have. Also look at what Arizona is building around Kyler Murray in his second year (oh & he did have Larry Fitzgerald in his rookie season too). Compare that with Darnold, who like Allen year one has a mess of a receiving corp and questionable coaching. I know I am giddy & expect 300 every week, but understand there maybe some speed bumps along the way, but I do wonder what the ceiling is, now that they've let the car out of the garage & let it on the highway. -

Week 3 PFF Grade of Josh Allen
Billsfan1972 replied to mykidsdad's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The fumble week 3 was one no QB could avoid (and Allen almost did). Horse Collared, Facemasked and thrown violently to the ground by Aaaron Donald. Oh and no time at all either to react. Yep 100% Allen's fault. -

And how did Lamar grade vs. KC? Bet they will say many incompletions were catchable balls. Oh and that dig that they were to open receivers is typical. -
Why is everyone a draft expert????

You mean like the 2 minute Highly Questionable Clip where they doubled down on the Allen hate and Dan tried to praise him without saying flat out "I was wrong"? How about you scour the internet? I'm done with you as you don't even know what you're saying. -

Billsfan1972 replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Read the OP...... I explained that I thought the vast majority never saw Josh in College and yes are still writing about him as if they have followed him since Pee Wee..... I contend they did not, read other's scouting reports and still hold him to those reports in to his third year. If the scouting report is that has was an accurate passer, they would have looked at commented on all his great throws the first two seasons (and would have acknowledged undersized receivers, a bad line & many dropped balls). Because they said he was inaccurate, they focus on bad passes and the like. -

Again I have posted many who at best begrudgingly are impressed with Allen's 3 games, but like Keyshawn laughed/scoffed at MVP talk (prefaced that it is only 3 weeks). I gave examples and am not going to scour the internet, but many still are convinced that this is a three week anomaly. I was as per the thread suggesting that some just have extrapolated scouting reports from college (without ever watching him) and formed biases. Has Mike Lombardi said anything (a huge detractor too) as I googled him and found nothing.
