  1. Troll because you stubbornly hold to your views regardless of logic after proven incorrect "Not-forward" aka "lateral" is also a fumble. It doesn't have to go backwards to be a fumble, it just has to go forward to not be a fumble.
  2. Reality is not an excuse... But he hasn't played 2-full seasons, and throwing the towel in on him today is the dumbest idea anyone could suggest. Say the defense stopped Cleveland on that final drive... would you be as pissed off today complaining about Allen and the team? I doubt it, so take a step back from the emotions from watching yesterday's game to think critically.
  3. Very apparent on a couple of 3rd and shorts yesterday in the second half... it looked like they didn't even have a single route under 10-yards as Allen hucks downfield incompletions.
  4. You could be right... but based on the talent on offense, I think it's unrealistic for a second year qb to carry the team. Until Allen can read a defense in a split second and counter the offense play calling/routes, the team will struggle to put up a lot of points. We don't have a Julio to just chuck the ball to, or an O-line that smacks the D off the snap. I would imagine that learning curve is different for every qb that enters the league, and I would also imagine that at times Allen may get this right but team mistakes or opposing 'talented' defenses stymie what could have been.
  5. Troll... Not disputing that the Bills had plenty of chances... but the reason there's so much discussion is some people are applying the 'lateral justification' point of the ball from release to point of the ball when it hits the ground. That rule calls this a fumble if you don't think the ball moved forward. Bakers arm goes up towards the sky, not from behind his head forward.
  6. I don't see improvement on the offense. If anything, teams around the league are getting better and making things more difficult for Allen and the offense as the year has gone on. Early on in the season, Allen was given more leash to audible at the line, I feel like this doesn't happen anymore.
  7. Example: An overhand lateral towards the sideline that is dropped = a fumble. A lateral is defined from the point at which the ball leaves your hand to the point it hits the ground How is this different?
  8. If the qb tosses the ball just slightly forward it's incomplete, which is why the designed play is considered safe. Baker botched this by tossing the ball straight up. Now if ppl think the ball traveled forward... fine, but I didn't see a replay angle that showed anything close to justify reversing the call. What if Baker continued the motion and threw the ball over his head? Obviously there is a point when this would result in a fumble.. that point is forward vs. not-forward.
  9. Dude this makes no difference. Forward passes are determined from the spot of the ball, NOT the player. You don't understand the rule, I'm gonna stop arguing with you.
  10. His arm moved up towards the sky. Also you didn't answer my question...
  11. Okay bud. If the qb throws a perfect lateral (not up-field or backwards) precisely down the line of scrimmage, is that a fumble if it's dropped?
  12. Did that ball not go forward? Also the justifcation was that it was because Allen was being hit that it wasn't a fumble... You may have actually proven yourself wrong haha. Not trying to be a dick. It was a unique play, but I haven't been convinced that the refs got it right.
  13. Hard to tell for sure, but also no way to think the ball goes forward from the replay. The call should not have been overturned IMO.
  14. Such confidence but your justifications make no sense. If someone were to provide an actual justification I would be thrilled.
  15. The ball went from point A to point A. Arm direction doesn't matter (I would think). Unless i'm way off base here, but his arms were lobbing the ball straight up in the air. Watch the replay. Bakers arms hold the ball while fully extended... imagine a volley ball player bumping the ball straight up in the air. There is room for a player to get underneath where his arms were
  16. Because a forward pass needs to go... forward.
  17. From the video replay there was no indication the ball went foward. It looked like it went straight up and down. That was a fumble. Worst part was the nonsensical justification the ref gave that his arm was moving forward! Game should have been over, non the less, had opportunities after the missed call.
  18. It's understanding opposing defenses better that he needs to improve on. He can throw the ball just fine (improve as a passer not necessary), we need him to be able to identify and react more quickly. This comes with time and repetition.
  19. Allen has got the tools. He has the ability to make every NFL throw as well as elite running ability. It takes repetition for the game to slow down and the offense to become second nature. New O-line New Recievers New TE New RBs 2nd YEAR QB! ...all things considered, there's no guarantee that Bellichick would have this team at 6-2 had he replaced McDermott!
  20. All players at some point in their career get cut. Being up front and honest with people is all I think you can ask in those situations which I've never heard a story of Bellicheck doing any backstabbing. As for Gronk... he's a nut and also could have left sooner if having fun was his top priority. You can't argue that Belichick doesn't get the best out of his players better than anyone else in the game.
  21. Favre was injured during his year with the Jets and is believed to be a big reason for the drop-off mid-season. I believe the team was even fined for not disclosing.
  22. We only see what the media shows us. I bet if you talked to anyone who ever played for him or had any sort of relationship with him, they would say otherwise. He's apparently incredibly loyal to the people he works with and is known to do right by his word. It's very difficult for me to feel bad for the NFL (that he 'spits in the face of') when IMO they have blundered their way to ridiculous profits at the cost of the health of 1000s of past players. The NFL shield is just a mega-corporation, bud.
  23. I think it comes from the fact that the majority of games that Bills fans watch are one of two teams. First and most obvious, Bills fans watch Bills games. Second most watched are the Patriots. The Patriots style of winning games typically results in dominating nearly all 60 minutes. So us Bills fan are likely comparing the Bills winning style to the biggest outlier in the history of the NFL.
  24. Throwing up a stat like this is so absurdly worthless. This post screams "I looked for a statistic to support my opinion" Season 1 stats are of an entirely different roster Season 2 stats are from a TOTAL rebuild Season 3 stats... maybe the only true data you can justify using. But how does this compare to other teams/coaches? Maybe he's right in the middle of the pack.. but we'd never know!
