  1. ESPN isn't worth saving. First it's like a retirement home for ex-Patriots. IDGF, get real jobs. Second it's about chasing almighty dollars and almighty ratings, so whatever passes for programming is just a lapdance for big market teams and big personalities. Third, it's geared to hot takes and BS so it's x's and o's content is garbage. Finally, I can build my own sports media environment of dedicated Bills podcasts and Bills YT channels, get what I want when I want, and for free. NBCSN's Premier League coverage smokes there's too, for the rare days I want to watch soccer.
  2. Since we don't see the cards very often, I'm looking forward to reading their message boards. Hopefully there won't be any c. 2018 hot takes about Tim Tebow impersonator Josh Allen. Hopefully.
  3. Whataboutism gets its name from the soviet tactic for dealing criticism of its many, many crimes. Example American: The soviet union deliberately starved 3 million ukrainians to death in the Holodomor, shot 16,000 Polish POWs in the Katyn Forest, and kept master pedophile Lavrenti Beria around as head of security. Soviet: Whatabout the blacks you lynch? In formal logic, this is called the "You Also!" Fallacy. Two people can do things that are bad. One person can steal a piece of candy, another can set a stray cat on fire. Just because both things are bad does not make them equally bad. Why it works is it turns an argument about morality into an argument about hypocrisy. Pointing out that someone is a hypocrite has everything to do with there character, and nothing to do with how true their statement is. But being able to call your opponent a hypocrite using "whataboutism" puts them on the back foot and starts a new discussion that buries the original point. Instead, you get a pissing contest where you defeat the argument by making your opponent look bad instead of refuting his facts or dissecting his reasoning.
  4. Any true NT/1 Technique, then any above average/average OG.
  5. Nice. I'm watching one of the fan based post game shows you can find on YT. They're pretty impressed that the Bills decided to pound the rock using outside zone simply because the Pats are awful at defending it.
  6. Don Corleone when he sees threads like this one.
  7. Hate reading opposition forums should be part of everybody's post-game ritual.
  8. Anybody else then, I know the Cover 1 guys liked Washington's 1Tech. He's alright, healthy and has 2 years left on a rookie deal.
  9. I hope so, this team needs a nose tackle more than anything right now. Preferably 2.
  10. There's something really funny about this. "We're going to make New England's QB stand back there and play quarterback". "We aren't going to let the QB playing against Josh Allen beat us with his legs". I hope Stidham plays, I really do.
  11. It helps that the evil genius is looking a lot less like Lex Luthor, and a lot more like Cobra Commander lately.
  12. San Fran ran the ball all over Foxboro, for almost two hundred yards. They attacked the edges of the pats D, so that NE was breaking out their 6-1 front from the Rams SB to try and hold contain. Didn't work, but I don't think the Bills can threaten that like SF did. Now if the plan is to go into Foxboro and throw the ball 40 times I'm worried. Because that's when you'll see every wonky disguised coverage, fake look/trap and blitz BB can think of.
  13. Well, I was wrong. I thought the Titans would get a slap on the wrist. Instead they got they got sent to their rooms, which have a computer, a TV, and the game system of their choice, after their parents did their dishes.
  14. Never understood the undersized DT philosophy. Either you've got maulers who can hold up at the point of attack and absorb double teams, or you've got freaks of nature like Warren Sapp or Aaron Donald who can do it all. Belichick has never done the undersized DL thing. His DEs are always in the 270-300 range, and his DTs are portapottys with legs. They play in front of oversized MLBs that run blitz like crazy. How.many years did we spend watching Teddy Bruschi, Jerod Mayo and Donta Hightower blow up our OGs?
  15. Wasn't there a change in Dline coaches this off-season? If there was, bring back.whiever left and can whoevers got the job right now. Hell what's Pepper Johnson doin these days?
  16. I agree, it seemed like we were packing it in much tighter than usual, except when Josh audibles to spread KC out. This isn't an in your face offense, so don't try to be, spread them out and throw all over. If the offensive talent is being misused, that's on Daboll outfoxing himself. And Daboll seems to have caught very little flak in this thread so far.
  17. Great OG Lord of the Rings References in this thread.
  18. Denver decided to win after all
  19. That's got be the most obvious attempt to stab your HC in the back that I've ever read.
  20. I love how the Jets have to leverage this trade with an implicit "He's way better than our crap team and bugeyed coach have made him look so far. Honest!"
  21. 😁 Check out Chicken Big Mamou on Pasta. It's from Paul Prudhomme's Louisiana Kitchen. Anything with a lb of butter, 2 lbs of pasta, 2 lbs of chicken and 11 herbs and spices including three kinds of pepper is solid gameday food.
  22. The announcement is "Titans Forfeit, Bills/Chiefs next Sunday in primetime". Still waiting for Roger to do us proud with a wrist slap for the bad guys and a pumpjob for everyone else.
  23. If there's one thing a veteran of The Patriot Way knows how to do, it's get rid of tape. Or make the tape so damaging the league trashes it for you
  24. Just waiting for the wrist slap penalty from New York and a dog of a game from the Titans covid-ridden scrubs at this point. In a sensible world, the news of the forfeits and suspensions will come out in an hour.
