Bills sign 7 to Futures Contacts & Re-Sign RVD

I read that and thought Rob Van Dam. It's early yet. -
The most positive thing I saw this season was the team finally adopt a pragmatic, physical, small ball identity on offense. The next most positive thing I saw was the team attempt to be as physical and pragmatic on defense as it is on offense. I say attempt because it didn't succeed. We don't have a group of above average DL, or a single truly elite DL player. We really did take Elite safety play for granted during the years of Dr. Poyer and Mr. Hyde. Sadly, the D needs a retooling if it wants to be truly multiple. Our pass rush is average, our Blitzing is average, our man coverage is average. Something on D needs to be elite if we're going to get over the hump.

The more playoff football I watch, the more I believe Bill Belichek's truism that more football games are lost than are won. Successful playoff football starts and ends with ball security and consistency. -
Anyone else here going through "The Calmness?"
Coffeesforclosers replied to We'reWalking's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yup! I'm cooking breakfast like it's any other weekend day. Rye Toast with butter, two eggs over hard with seasoned salt and black pepper, breakfast sausage from the local butcher. Later, we're ordering two pies from the local pizza place and making Jalapeno Poppers from scratch (we make batches of 30+, baked & broiled, not deep fried) The crew are coming over at 6 to watch. Everything is Zen. Don't know if that will hold up during the game, but that's ok. -
We are, but Shep also didn't have much of a career after he was traded for Jerry Hughes. He transitioned from player to coach pretty quickly and he's only 37.

Trump 47, Putin & The Ukraine War.
Coffeesforclosers replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I could care less about them at this point. I'm also pessimistic. There's no reason for Putin to come around if he's winning. He's currently winning in the least efficient way possible, but nonetheless. Tarrifs and Sanctions aren't going to stop Putin. There's enough demand for Russian goods and big enough markets for them in the world to keep Russia afloat for now. This has been proven over the course of the war. So far, all this peace talk is just a continuation of Biden's policies with MAGA window dressing. -

Trump: America wants a peace deal, Ukraine wants a peace deal. Putin does not want a peace deal. Shocker, but the country who started the war are the warmongers! Who knew? -
A judgement free zone is a nice name for an echo chamber. The internet is full of them.

Trump 47, Putin & The Ukraine War.

In actual news- Russian state media responds to President Trump's threats with laughter, insults, nuclear sabre rattling, and declarations that they don't really care about peace because they're winning. I'd love for them to eat these sentiments, but we'll see. -

All old news. Massive cash infusions into the Russian MIC have produced an insane economic boom, in spite of sanctions. Russia's economy is in danger because it's overheating, not because it's been crippled by economic attacks. This has been going on for years. This is a continuation of Biden's dumb, lukewarm policies, but of course PPP will eat it up because it's not Brandon. -

We've already got a thread on the Ukraine War, and we've already determined sanctions don't work. -
For those who've got the knowledge, I've got a question. As a layman, Spags is famous for three things. Cover 0 Blitzing, Simulated Pressures, and blitzing DBs from anywhere on the field. How do you make a Defense operating with these tendencies tip their hand pre-snap? How do dictate their play style? Do you just run heavy power. Seems like last time, we just threw deep balls to Amari Cooper and Coop smoked his guy every time.

I’m very happy with how far we made it.

The only person I would contemplate replacing McDermott with is Sean McVey. It's not like we can shitcan him, then wander down to the KC Beating, SB Winning Coach store with Terry's credit card... -
Levy was 0-4 in Super Bowls, McDermott cannot go 0-4 vs KC

I think this Bills team is too small, has too little talent, doesn't work hard enough... That cover everything? -

We had it all to do this week, we'll have it all to do next game and God willing, the game after. I wasn't familiar with the 1994 NFC Championship game, I had no idea it was just a total implosion from Dallas. San Fran was up 21-0 with 7:33 left in the 1st Q off of three Dallas TO's. I'm also enjoying the cigarette billboards in Candlestick Park. Steve Young was the wave of the future. It's a treat to watch him play, the Paul Tagliabue Era may well become the Golden Age of the NFL. -
