  1. I had to remind myself that we win 11+ games every year.
  2. I want to know how much freedom Babich has, and how much pull he's got in the Draft room. I loved that he tries to be multiple on defense. That he abandons Rush 4/Play Zone if that's a bad matchup week to week or in the post season. The problem is that the team is still built for Rush 4/Play Zone, and he knows that we can't trust better execution and/or deception to beat the bestQ Bs in the post season. If he's in charge and serious about the new direction of the D, we'll be adding size and speed this off-season. I'll judge him for real at the end of next season. What this D needs more than anything is an elite DL. Unfortunately that's what every D everywhere needs.
  3. I read that and thought Rob Van Dam. It's early yet.
  4. The most positive thing I saw this season was the team finally adopt a pragmatic, physical, small ball identity on offense. The next most positive thing I saw was the team attempt to be as physical and pragmatic on defense as it is on offense. I say attempt because it didn't succeed. We don't have a group of above average DL, or a single truly elite DL player. We really did take Elite safety play for granted during the years of Dr. Poyer and Mr. Hyde. Sadly, the D needs a retooling if it wants to be truly multiple. Our pass rush is average, our Blitzing is average, our man coverage is average. Something on D needs to be elite if we're going to get over the hump.
  5. Chris Jones got across OCyrus Torrence's face and hit Josh on the hip.
  6. The more playoff football I watch, the more I believe Bill Belichek's truism that more football games are lost than are won. Successful playoff football starts and ends with ball security and consistency.
  7. Yup! I'm cooking breakfast like it's any other weekend day. Rye Toast with butter, two eggs over hard with seasoned salt and black pepper, breakfast sausage from the local butcher. Later, we're ordering two pies from the local pizza place and making Jalapeno Poppers from scratch (we make batches of 30+, baked & broiled, not deep fried) The crew are coming over at 6 to watch. Everything is Zen. Don't know if that will hold up during the game, but that's ok.
  8. We are, but Shep also didn't have much of a career after he was traded for Jerry Hughes. He transitioned from player to coach pretty quickly and he's only 37.
  9. Outstanding. Incredible news! Open that checkbook all the way Terry.
  10. The government overreach isn't going to stop. It's just the way that the government overreaches that's going to change.
  11. Is the house saving itself for marriage?
  12. Hmm... I wonder if he's got something that can be fixed with a minor operation.
  13. I could care less about them at this point. I'm also pessimistic. There's no reason for Putin to come around if he's winning. He's currently winning in the least efficient way possible, but nonetheless. Tarrifs and Sanctions aren't going to stop Putin. There's enough demand for Russian goods and big enough markets for them in the world to keep Russia afloat for now. This has been proven over the course of the war. So far, all this peace talk is just a continuation of Biden's policies with MAGA window dressing.
  14. Trump: America wants a peace deal, Ukraine wants a peace deal. Putin does not want a peace deal. Shocker, but the country who started the war are the warmongers! Who knew?
  15. A judgement free zone is a nice name for an echo chamber. The internet is full of them.
  16. In actual news- Russian state media responds to President Trump's threats with laughter, insults, nuclear sabre rattling, and declarations that they don't really care about peace because they're winning. I'd love for them to eat these sentiments, but we'll see.
  17. All old news. Massive cash infusions into the Russian MIC have produced an insane economic boom, in spite of sanctions. Russia's economy is in danger because it's overheating, not because it's been crippled by economic attacks. This has been going on for years. This is a continuation of Biden's dumb, lukewarm policies, but of course PPP will eat it up because it's not Brandon.
  18. We've already got a thread on the Ukraine War, and we've already determined sanctions don't work.
  19. For those who've got the knowledge, I've got a question. As a layman, Spags is famous for three things. Cover 0 Blitzing, Simulated Pressures, and blitzing DBs from anywhere on the field. How do you make a Defense operating with these tendencies tip their hand pre-snap? How do dictate their play style? Do you just run heavy power. Seems like last time, we just threw deep balls to Amari Cooper and Coop smoked his guy every time.
  20. The only person I would contemplate replacing McDermott with is Sean McVey. It's not like we can shitcan him, then wander down to the KC Beating, SB Winning Coach store with Terry's credit card...
  21. So what if teleworking is protected by the worker's contracts and those contracts are in effect?
