These guys are fans of each other because they are fans of the game. It's true of all players and coaches, who give each other jerseys and stuff.
Hell, during the season it was said that Bill texted Sean every week gushing to him over how great and explosive his offense is.
This is a pile of nothing. There is a lot of mutual respect at that level.
It's a perfectly reasonable time to start thinking about that, when the game is almost 85% over. People in the threads were talking about it before halftime.
I'm sure that, if two epic drives by the rams in the last 10 minutes won them the game, a guy like Goff could have easily shot to the top.
They also dutifully prepared for that play, giving lots of reps to all of their CBs to make sure they knew what to do in that situation. Butler got burned on it in their practice earlier in the week, and then figured it out.
Bill has his team prepared for everything.
There are divisions in which they would have been slightly more, and slightly less, dominant. With probably little change in the end results which matter. Like, same number of SB wins, maybe 8-10 fewer regular season wins over 20 years.
McVay turned that player we saw into a player that can get to a super bowl and win a lot of regular season games.
Goff did not get McVay to a super bowl.
Goff is far worse than McVay at their respective jobs, far worse.
Not when he tried to peel off the block. he was pulling him back, while he could see the guy's numbers. You're seeing what you desperately wish to see.
Dude, that was an NFL hold. I understand how every penalty scenario involving NE will go on this board though, so I'll leave it there. And saying LOL doesn't make your point any better.
He got sacked in a territory where a throwaway could have given them cause to go for it on 4th down and maintain possession. Allen has lost his team field goal position on 3rd down more than once, looking exactly like Goff did there, that's what we're referring to.
Observations and criticism don't automatically equate to bashing the golden boy and the perfect franchise.
I think Allen is going to be our franchise QB for 15 years, and will hoist a Lombardi trophy in Buffalo.
He has taken enough 10+ yard sacks on 3rd down, particularly to take us out of FG range a couple times, for that to have been the first thing I thought of when I saw that play as well.
Uh, Allen has taken numerous sacks like that, don't let offseason delusion make you forget that even if you like him (and I do). That poster was completely right. It's a part of Allen's game that he needs to clean up.
