Congratulations again to Week 1 winner @LabattBlue! It's a short week, as the Bills travel to Miami to play the Fish on TNF. Josh is banged up, TJ looks to be out with an elbow, and the defense looked shaky against the Cards in the first half before settling down in the second half. Fish came out sluggish, and Jax was getting ready to blow them out until ETN fumbled on the 5 going in for a TD. Fish came back just like we did and won the game. In the immortal words of Kyle Brandt, Week 1 is a liar, and if you had a daughter, you'd want her to marry Week 2. So in this Mystery Date game, which are we, the Dreamboat, or the Dud? Imma go Dreamboat. This is gonna be a shootout with the will of Josh Allen against the speed of the Fish's offense. In Josh I trust, as he goes 12-2 against the Fish. His left knee hit the ground at the 22, another bad non call.

Bad no call on the hip drop tackle on Jennings. The 3 crtieria: 1. A defender wraps up the runner. 2. The defender swivels his hips or rotates into the ball carrier and “unweighs” himself (leaves his feet so the defender is completely off the ground). 3. The defender lands on the runner’s feet or legs. Just replayed it, and all three criteria were met. Well done refs. Jennings gets injured, no flags.

Fair enough on your game balls. As far as Bass goes, all this guy has heard for 9 months is how much he sucks and how the Bills should cut him. But he shook off the withering criticism and scored 10 points, 8 of which were into 20-25 MPH swirling winds. If you don't think that last FG was huge, I don't know what to say, since it forced the Cards to score a TD to win. Said it before and I'll say it again. The only reason the Cards had a TD on the kickoff was a block in the back at the point of attack which was not called. You want to blame that on Bass, I can't help you.

We're in violent agreement. My response was to a poster that posited that the KO TD return was because Bass didn't kick it deep enough into the wind.

Small beef with Brady not going for the throat after Groot's FF and the short punt. We ran the ball both times. Marv called PA and a shot to the EZ a lot in those situations. Mix in a little PA on first down Joe. You're allowed, you got the best QB in the game. On the KO TD, I've said it before and I'll say it again. There is a huge block in the back by the Cards at the point of attack, and no call. I don't hold that against Smiley or Bass. Cards cheated and got away with it, good for them.

Cop that arrested Reek is on admin leave pending investigation. Pretty clear overreaction to a traffic stop. This is Scottie Scheffler redux, except that Reek is a complete POS and probably deserved it. Don't care what Reek was saying, hand him the ticket and ask him to "Please drive safe Mr. Hill". Dude could be strapped and go all Rae Carruth on you. De-escalate and go home to your family.

Look at the replay, there is a massive block in the back at the point of attack on the TD return that wasn't called. Can't fault Bass for that.

The catch where the DB was all over him, pulling his jersey, no DPI call, and Coleman just said "MY BALL!!!!" Didn't wait for the refs, even though that was DPI all day long. I don't remember the last time a Bills receiver just ripped away the ball with such complete authority. That's my WR!!!!

Unlike most of my fellow TBD brethren, I did not throw Bass under the bus when he started struggling halfway through last season. I still have confidence in him when he steps out there, because I see the ball at the top of the net from 40, 3/4 of the way up the net from 50, etc. I know he can make a 60+ yarder if we need it. In Bass I Trust.
