and we got exactly what we needed which was turnovers from jay Cutler . The script for beating the bears has not changed one bit in the last 3-4 years . Fake the run d and play and get a lead and watch Cutler give it to you . the Bears averaged 28 ppg last year and the defense held them to 20 in their house and forced two turnovers which led to 10 points . Everything fell into place and EJ did a great job managing the game the point is that at some point teams will force the ball into his hands and thats what is really in question . Great start to the season !!

EJ did well but the bears defense sucks and the first thing Miami will do is take away the run and play the screens . He didn't throw deep with any success and thats what opposing teams will look to do in the upcoming. As I said before EJ keeping the job depends on EJ and I saw clear improvement from last year buy this is also a game where you had several weeks to prepare for a bad defense . Now we are on tape and the challenge becomes how he reacts when opponents take away what he has done successfully

The defense has been fine the Bears offense is explosive . They gave the offense two turnovers that set up ten of our points . Outside of that the offense has not done anything and thats the problem . We really need in the second half a 80 yard march and score and it doesn't look as if we will get one .

On defense 1. show run play pass 2 . double marshall and jefferies

The bears defense is bad and we goaded Cutler into the turnovers we needed . EJ has been solid but we haven't seen him go to the second level of the defense at all in the passing game . Would love to see them take a shot downfield off of play action because after todays game tape thats what the defenses will be giving him down the line . The defense has done a great job once they started playing everything for the pass.

Bears defense sucks especially against the run . We have to force the Bears to run it on offense now and to force Cutler to dink and dunk to move the chains . He doesn't have the patience for it and will force it downfield .

They should be playing two deep zone looks all day and force them to RUN THE BALL

what about the rest of the team ? If the QB cant do his job effectively it hurts so many other parts of the team to just say let him learn . Is this a rebuilding season or a playoff season ? Ifs its a rebuilding season then let EJ play it out . If its a playoff season then you give him an opportunity to keep his job just as you will the other 21 starters and make a change if it doesn't look as though he can get the job done .

If the signing of Orton affects EJ's confidence at all then he shouldn't be the starting QB anyway . EJ at this point should have FULL COMMAND of everything we are trying to do and be ready to play if hes not then the coaching staff has no choice but to pull him just as they would a receiver ,a lineman, or a DB. This is the NFL and someone is always out for your job the way you keep it is by performing. This is all on EJ and if hes gets pulled its because he not performing so lets hope he shows up .

How does stats in the NFL after 10 games equate to what someone has done after 70 ? Orton has a couple of 3500+ yard 20 td seasons under his belt and had never lost more games than he won as a starter during a season until he was 28 years old . It is extremely unfair to EJ to make those sort of claims

Bears linebackers are bad ....really bad and the safeties are suspect as well. The key is to simply move the chains taking advantage of those linebackers and safeties underneath as the corners are good ballhawks . Keep the Bears offense off the field and that will force Cutler to press when he does get on it . I would sit back in a two deep zone disguising it as much as I could and force the bears to running the ball which they have not shown they are willing to do . The Bears and Cutler like to go for the big play and jump balls and if we can keep them to a minimum we will have a shot to win it .

How much time EJ gets is ultimately up to EJ because its his job to lose .He doesn't turn into a superstar overnight he just needs to show he is improving with the playing time hes being given and make more good plays than bad plays and the last thing he can afford is to make no plays .

Orton was never beat out by tebow and never outplayed by tebow . Orton was set to be traded to Mia before camp but the Dolphins owner vetoed the trade at the last minute so the Broncos had no choice but to start Orton over tebow as he was teams captain and flat out the better QB. But the new coach John Fox was already changing the offense from the shotgun passing attack that helped Orton throw for over 7400 yards and 40 tds the previous two seasons . Because the previous coach had traded multiple picks to move up into the first rd to take Orton the Broncos had no choice but to get tebow on the field to see what he can do which is the case with 1st rd picks but after seeing what he can do the broncos immediately got rid of him and after the jets got him they did what ? and where is tebow now ? Orton after being released by Denver was picked up by the struggling Chiefs in late November when Cassell has struggled and then was out hurt . They fired haley right after picking up Orton for not immediately starting him and costing them yet another win when they were still a game or two outside of the wildcard . They went 3-1 beat tebow and the Broncos in Denver ,beat the then undefeated packers give them there only regular season loss(15-1) and came within a missed fg of making the playoffs and orton had only been on the team a few weeks . They gave interim coach Romeo Crennel the job permanently and he basically gave credit to Orton for helping him get it. If they were not on the hook for cassell for major money they would've kept Orton .They went back to cassell the next season he sucked and they all got fired coach,gm everyone . Orton seems to be able to adapt quickly ,players seem to like playing with the guy ,and he seems to be very studious and methodical in his preparation which is probably why he is able to adapt so quickly. I can see why they would want him behind E.J . They have given him a mentor of sorts so that he can pick his brain and that is never a bad thing for a young gb to have .
