  1. I said it was going to be a dog fight, and thought we could very well lose. However, they are right where I expected them to be at this point, 3-1.
  2. Great, if they lose this week it's your friggin' fault, and your name will forever be Captain Buttsight.
  3. Fabio! Perfect for Buffalo...
  4. Cool. Since they released Coleman, I believe that left Batten as the only back up to Merriman. That will be an interesting battle: Batten vs Moats. Moats was th D2 player of the year, and Batten runner up.
  5. Oh Man! What colors are you wearing? Good luck, and let's hope UB can stay with them.
  6. I think the great transformation for the O-line was moving Wood to center and replacing his guard position with a bull. I thought the O-line would be better this year because of the improvement in the middle--the Bills did not play well against physical D-lines last year. Based on that, I believed the running game would be much better. While I thought the mix of Fitz and Gailey's O would mask deficiencies, I certainly never thought the pass pro would be this good so far.
  7. Maybe, but his job is to be the provoker (bad cop), while Gaughan is the "serious" football writer (good cop).
  8. When he's not trying to be the bad cop, he can actually put out something decent. I even chuckled at his last line... Link is on TBD front page.
  9. I see a dog fight too. The Bills picked up a win I didn't expect, so maybe it's time for a loss I didn't expect, and they end up 3-1, as I did expect. This one comes down to the O-line. They have to give Fitz the time to attack, as they have so far. Ok, it says here they sneak away with yet another win, and a 4-oh start!
  10. I have to admit I got a little misty-eyed myself after Lindell made the kick. Nice piece.
  11. I got a kick out of the title--"breaking news" Sheesh!
  12. That was funny! Hopefully Noone goes back to the hole he crawled out from...
  13. Look in the mirror. I am criticizing the belief that what Bernanke has done will cause significant inflation and making the $ like monopoly money. You at least are starting to understand the process, as opposed to your wrongheaded beliefs from 2-3 years ago...
  14. The one thing the Jets and Ryan did was to show everyone how to beat the Pats--build a more physical team, and then beat them up. The Raiders will do their usual run it down their throats on O, which will keep Brady off the field more. We'll see if their D can get after Brady? Let's just say I won't be surprised by a Raider win.
  15. I look for the Raiders to do exactly what they did to the Jets, and win this game.
  16. Yep, that convinced me too John. I had the Jets game as the litmus test for this team, because they have out-muscled us for the past couple of years--embarrassingly. We will beat the Jets at home, and possibly twice this year!
  17. It helps when you know your receivers better too. How does one know whether the ball was thrown poorly or the receiver made a mistake? Don't discount the fact that Fitz hosted the WRs for his mini camps, and they are all in the second year of Gailey's system.
  18. Thanks. Always enjoy reading those kinds of stories.
  19. In a pre-season thread on "surprise or step up players" this year, I picked Jones solely on the comments from Fitz and Gailey. In last week's prediction thread, he was the player I said needed to step up, as he was going to draw most of the one-on-ones. He was bad, then good. I think your assessment is right on. I think we also have to recognize that he is a second-year player, and most WRs usually take 2-3 years to really learn and develop in the pro game.
  20. It was obviously the intention of the poster, with such an inflammatory remark!! I totally agree with him, by the way...
  21. According to McKissic's Tuesday morning QB piece (on the B-News site), the Bills said their goal was to try to push the pocket and prevent Brady from stepping up in his throws. RM said the Bills were successful a few times, and that this caused Brady to throw 2 of his INTs. He also credited Merriman with forcing Brady to throw early on the first INT that Scott got. I think we'll see the pass rush and the defense overall get better as the season wears on. My link
  22. If this is some draft site's opinion, I guess they were wrong about him being a long shot. He missed the first two pre-season games, and he then made the team over Corner. I think that says a lot about what the Bills think about him.
  23. I don't understand why anyone cares what a couple of blowhards say? Makes me glad I don't have cable anymore.
  24. Since I don't have cable anymore, that was great to see. My favorite part of the highlights, on Freddie's long run down the right side, there were at least 3 O-line at the finish. I saw Bell, Pears, and one other I couldn't make out. That was something like a 25 yard run. This Bills team exemplifies the phrase, "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts."
  25. I thought Corner played decent out there yesterday. Rogers will be the #4 no doubt, but I'd like to see him in action. He's the kind of guy that could cover a small, quick slot receiver. I didn't see Searcy in a D package, did he get out there other than ST?
