  1. All the La Divina talk made me detour and stop there on the way back from an errand today. Hardly anyone there. Must be the college kids are gone. Feel much better now....
  2. it's interesting that Roman seems to admit ignoring the middle was also a coaching issue.
  3. I saw that and had the same thought, because I too was wondering if Cersei bites it this week? Most likely Tommen is done, so she has a few more episodes of misery left...
  4. Making the fixings of a taco is not so difficult. It's the tortilla that makes it, and theirs are the best in the area. Btw, probably the only place that sells "lengua" tacos too.
  5. Take a look at Ryan's 2009 #1 D with the Jets. They were in the bottom half in sacks, led by Pace with 8. If Ryan can get this D back to top 10 (ppg) and the team in the playoffs, I don't care how many sacks they have. Ryan often downplays # of sacks, talking about pressure in general. Again, his D is not about any single player, with the exception of a shutdown corner. In that 2009 season, the Lolb spot was manned by Bryan Thomas, a former R1 pick with a mediocre career, not unlike manny Lawson. Having players that are all in is more important than having Mario pouting about his sack totals.
  6. I'm fairly certain the wife and kids (all minors) had their interviews at the same time. I'm also fairly certain we did everything at the whirlpool bridge customs, where the interviews were. I would also add that it depends on where you cross most often. The Peace bridge is not advantageous when it's really busy because you can't get to the Nexus lane until you've crossed the bridge, Going both ways. We are experiencing more often that the Nexus lane is longer than regular lanes, though that changes in the summer. This increases my suspicion that you are not a real person....
  7. right. My main point was to mention the new incarnation of the Monk since it didn't have that update.
  8. While it mentions Blue Monk closed, it's re-opened under a new name (its address # which escapes me at the moment), and the beer list looks very similar. The food looked good too. The Thin Man just opened, and it's getting rave reviews. It's where Faherty's (and Toro) used to be. I'm glad they didn't mention (or know about?) my favorite taco spot, because it's getting too crowded....

  10. certainly valid concerns. All conjecture until we see them in a game that matters. Despite what appears a loss of talent though, this whole D should be greater than the some of its parts.
  11. taking my 12 year old stepson to see 21 pilots at canal side tonight. I like their sound too, and I've seen good reviews of their live shows.
  12. Sure, I can see the director trying to make that point, but the truth is he survives because he IS the hero, so it doesn't matter how it comes about--divine or luck. As I said, I got the impression from Ramsey's reaction to no arrows hitting jon that there was some intervention going on. Either way, it works because he survives so he can eventually take on the dead. It remains to be seen whether or not they reveal how and why he was resurrected?
  13. yes, I read that here (and elsewhere), which is why I suggested there is a difference between luck and divine intervention. If B&W view Snow's survival as a random lucky event, that would contradict the notion that some "being" resurrected him for a purpose. However, as the show stretches out from GRRM's vision in the books--which I haven't read, it seems the producers are creating more inconsistencies than when he was consulting for the show--would that be a correct assessment? However, B&W also discussed Snow's death at the end of last season as if it was final, so Benioff's comment about luck could be more of the same type of obfuscation.
  14. For the unknowing observer in our reality, yes. However, in a tv/book fantasy, we may find out that there IS a Lord of the Light who is guiding an outcome, because I'm pretty sure "luck" did not bring JS back to life.
  15. A couple of thoughts after my usual Monday re-watch of GoT on Go. The latter part of the battle reminded me of the scene from Ridley Scott's "kingdom of heaven" where the Muslims attempt to enter Jerusalem through a breached wall and they are met by balian's forces in a space where the mass of bodies collides and has no where to go. Sorry to see wun go, but glad tormund survived. I was surprised to hear benioff state (inside the episode on Go) that jon's survival was more luck than anything else. I got the impression, which I thought they were trying to create, that there was some divine intervention there. Ramsey's constant volleys of arrows to take snow down, and his frustration when he couldn't, gave me the impression there was something more than luck going on? I'm glad they are reducing the number of episodes in the final two seasons. The remaining plot line requires movie-like budgets and I think the past two seasons had a few episodes that suffered from needing to save $$ for the epic ones--"hard home" and this battle. Re the final episode, I will be shocked if they don't reveal Jon's lineage.
  16. In this D it's more important to have a player who knows and plays the team system than a more talented player who does not. Losing a talented Mario, in this case, is addition by subtraction. Adding Ragland in place of bradham will be an improvement too. The most important positions that can't mask talent are the CBs, which they have. The biggest concern I gave is depth.
  17. rob is now DDC. I believe Rex will entrust rob with play calling so he can focus more on overall game management.
  18. I found it difficult breathing through most of the episode. Intense.
  19. I was a Rex doubter last year, and I was (unfortunately) justified. however, barring a rash of injuries, I think we'll see a top 10 D this year, which gives them a very, very good chance at the playoffs. Rex's D requires the different parts to work in unison, which they obviously did not do last year. I think they've "corrected" the issues from last year, and they've added some needed personnel--I believe Ragland is the most important addition. Lawson--either one--will provide the team aspect needed at Mario's old position. The only person who worries me is Dareus, as he's still making noise about Rex's D. He needs to go "all in". That said, I'm also okay now with Rex doing his thing. The only talk about Buffalo prior to Pegula/Rex was when the team would move. The future for Buffalo is bright in many ways now, so put on those shades and enjoy the ride.
  20. in the offseason everything is on the table, and the more hardcore fan you are the more things you think about. All part of being a fan.
  21. Casablanca has a lot of great lines: I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here! [your winnings sir...] Here's Johnny! That one just reminded me of "You can't handle the truth!"
  22. It was very weird watching Rob because they are so much alike, though Rob uses "obviously" a bit less... Is April a fool or genius?
  23. I really enjoyed that too. It was the first time I've seen a rob ryan interview too. I like what I'm hearing. Hope they can deliver the baby...
