SEPT. 28: Around the NFL, other games.
The Frankish Reich replied to Ridgewaycynic2013's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not trusting the QB, whether Darnold or Wentz or JJ. -

OK, I ran it back and was disappointed this isn't true. Renegade. Apparently some kind of Steeler thing. I mean, I would have to respect I'm Sailing Away done Cartman style, but this? -

Damn close! And you're UK, so N. Ireland is like right there ... and you share the same weather moderated by the Gulf of America stream, so a little sympathy? 😁 -

NFL.com broadcasters are now suggesting the JJ McCarthy may benefit from watching Carson Wentz. Did I miss a sing a long? I'm Sailing Away? -
When Opulence Isn’t Enough: A Pig’s Lament
The Frankish Reich replied to Homelander's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Ahh, I remember when Rush Limbaugh made a big deal out of Bill Clinton "selling the Lincoln bedroom" for political contributions. How quaint. -

True. So far we have no reason to believe that Rodgers can win in that situation. But you have sadly ignored my point 2. -
Take another quick peek and you will be disabused of this passing notion.

1. The Steelers are just a little too competent for comfort. 2. Why was the weather never like this when I was in Ireland? It's still a mystery to me how he went from everyone's new model QB to complete sub-Trubisky backup, even accounting for injury. -
A lot of no dangerous female criminals. I don't recall many - actually any - bombshells of the sort the movies would have you believe are in the pen. Pretty relaxed scene. Before that I had some really nasty men's California state prisons to visit. A whole different story.

Jimmy Kimmel back on the air
The Frankish Reich replied to 4th&long's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I see the B-Man is still confounded by my simple question: should the FCC now leave Kimmel alone? I know, it's a tough one for him. He runs the risk of being outside the MAGA mainstream, and it could kill his future political aspirations if he were to actually take a position on a football fan forum. -
New Jersey Governor Race

In other words, a slimmed down version of The Fat Man. -
Hey Wacka, maybe I ran into you there. I visited that "camp" many times back when I had a federal job in the Bay Area. Really nice place to live, provided your allowed outside the gates.

President Trump's 2nd Term.
The Frankish Reich replied to B-Man's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Right! We'll add $4 trillion to the deficit and NOT ONE PENNY MORE! -
You make a good point. Remember, RFK Jr. came to this point from his past as an environmental crusader. Clean water, clean air, clean food, etc., etc. We've seen all of that put on the back burner because big ag and coal and whatever are seen as politically aligned with Trump. Meanwhile, he hates big pharma, so the focus is on that.

I had no idea she was still alive. I never understood her motivation. In some ways it is like what we're seeing today: a cultural moment, and a dangerous one.

Does truth exist??
The Frankish Reich replied to Joe Ferguson forever's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Yes, but there is something called the replication crisis, primarily in "softer" fields like psychology. -
I can't see this ending until Putin is gone. He is now dug in so deep that he can't negotiate away territorial gains, and NATO/the US similarly can't reward him with anything more than official recognition of Crimea as Russian territory. It is an utterly irrational war from Russia's national perspective, but it may be totally rational from Putin's perspective if he is correct that "losing" would mean the end of his rule.
