The American Media Should Not Be Trusted
The Frankish Reich replied to SCBills's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Country A is at War with "Country" (semi-autonomous entity) B. They are both firing rockets at each other. Something blows up in Country B. It is natural and obvious to attribute that to Country A. Later, if new facts emerge, that may change. This is no different than what happens when it turns out that a U.S. serviceman in Afghanistan is wounded, and it turns out that it was due to friendly fire. -
So your point is Biden - projecting strength in his unwavering support of Ukraine - is making a mistake. In other words, he should be saying "we don't have a dog in this fight." Some might say that is projecting America's weakness and emboldening further aggression against our allies. Which is my point. (Your point is something different)
-
This talking point - "they sense weakness" - is absolutely insane. Biden: firm support for Ukraine against Russia's attack. MAGA Republicans: "we don't have a dog in this fight; no more aid." Biden: firm support for Israel against Hamas' coordinated terrorist attacks. MAGA Republicans: you tell me where they stand. Other than criticizing Biden ("a bad thing happened while you were President") I don't even know where they stand. With the Palestinians? With Israel? Honestly, what do they think the United States should do? Stand aside? Isn't that projecting "weakness" - we don't have a dog in this fight? We need to recognize what's happened here. Traditional roles are reversed. The MAGA Republicans have become Lindbergh in the 1930s, isolationists who want to avoid all foreign involvements. The Democrats are - as Biden just repeated - still holding to the idea that America is the strongest nation in the world and that things that happen in the rest of the world are our business, in that we will stand alongside our allies against threats to their security.

is two deep the blueprint on how to beat the Bills?
The Frankish Reich replied to Coldfronts's topic in The Stadium Wall
Right. This is becoming a serious problem, and probably why you're seeing Latavius in there on 3rd down passing situations. Being an effective RB is not just about yards per carry. Cook actually appeared to shy away from contact on one of those plays. -

Justice, I don't agree with you. But I understand where you're coming from, and I actually do appreciate hearing from someone with knowledge and a different perspective. My take: Israel has been inundating Gaza with bombs. They told people to head south, and then apparently bombed the road heading south, and bombed locations in the south. I doubt that they deliberately bombed a hospital, but even "precision" guided bombs aren't perfect, so I begin with the assumption that the country that is carrying out an all-out bombing campaign is responsible for the hospital bombing. Other evidence may change my mind, and the notion that the explosion originated in Gaza, from a local source, is not absurd given that bombings from Gaza are fired from densely populated locations. -

And look at those prevailing winds, off the Mediterranean, across Gaza, and right into Israel. https://www.accuweather.com/en/il/national/wind-flow Yeah, that Irv is a genius. -

I'm not interested in discussing what ancient texts say. I am interested in what Hamas says in their charter, which even in the slightly watered down revised version calls for the killing/destruction of Zionists, meaning every Jew living in Palestine/Israel (the original 1987 version applied to all Jews, wherever they were). That doesn't mean Israel has carte blanche to destroy Gaza and all its inhabitants. It simply explains the nature of their enemy. -

So you are going to "wipe out" a religion with a million followers through gentle persuasion? You said it - wipe out - so own it. -
When our friends Ocasio-Cortez, Tlaib, and their ilk were elected, there was a lot of talk - much of which was justified - about how the far left flank of the Democratic Party was trying to take over. Guess what? None of them ascended to the leadership. Meanwhile, the far right flank of the Republican Party is about to ascend to Speaker of the House. So which party is more extreme?

It is the obvious and natural conclusion that this means wiping out individual Muslims. Including 6 year olds who will grow into terrorists. -
The Democrat cartel

You guys need to get your memes straight. Remember: Joe Biden is a figurehead. Obama is really running the government behind the scenes. In which case, I guess Obama is dictating Biden's clear support for Israel. Ooops. -
Julie Kelly’s follies

So let’s say I’m Senator Bob Menendez. I’m facing federal charges. The judge usually issued a standard pre trial order: No public commentary on the judge, potential witnesses, etc. Ha! I’ll announce I’m running for President and get a special exception! That’s what Trump wants. No one is telling him he can’t campaign on the economy, or foreign policy, or Hunter Biden, or whatever else. He just can’t do the stuff a criminal defendant usually can’t do. -

vs. Jets: Josh Allen: 62.7 passer rating Patrick Mahomes: 63.6 Jalen Hurts: 59.5 Saleh has a point ... EDIT: of course Dak Prescott was something like 110, Russell Wilson 100, and Mac Jones 85, so maybe they rise to the level of the competition? Maybe it's just dumb luck. We'll see. -

Why try the FG there? Giants have shown no ability to score a TD, much less go 80 yards. Now you give them a short field. -

He doesn't have a Diggs to make those contested catches. The ball was right there on both of them. -
