  1. I thought I read here that Trump is the Sworn Enemy of Big Pharma. That he'd put an end to the tyranny of Big Pharma, not to mention their conspiracy to microchip us through the so-called COVID "vaccines?" How is it that Robert Wood Johnson IV of Johnson & Johnson fame supports him? There must be some mistake.
  2. What, like Aaron Rodgers doesn't count?
  3. Right. It's not just the contract in the abstract, giving a guy who was injured/would be suspended for over a year and a half, who would be 27 by the time he got back, and who didn't profile as a guy with longevity. No, you have to add to that the PR hit they took by signing him too. I can't think of a worse contract in professional sports. Ever.
  4. Hang them right next to your He Hate Me Vegas Outlaws game-worn jersey.
  5. But Ray Epps! But Ray Effin Epps!!! Crybaby.
  6. Wow. I knew Edmunds was known for playing back, but that's a huge difference.
  7. Is the NFLPA calling for artificial turf to be installed in Pittsburgh after Nick Chubb's injury?
  8. OK, I try to be a nice guy. Most of the time. But really, I gotta call this one as I see it. You've outdone yourself. The all time stupid comment on the board. And that's saying something. Federal payments to poor people stopped. Which is obviously what you wanted. That caused the child poverty rate to tick back up. So you don't realize it, but you appear to be arguing that we should reinstate federal COVID wealth transfer programs. Congratulations. We found a Biden voter. Think before posting. It's refreshing!
  9. Sounds like someone's little "but what about Ray Epps, walking around with no consequences whatsoever" talking point has been taken away, leaving him crying for that special binky (and once again responding to people he performatively "ignores" - so cute!) No, but they shared the same moronic tendencies to go off at "the man" when they didn't get their way.
  10. That is pretty good. But Fetty Man: do we have to join her in a race to the bottom? They are busy beclowning themselves. Maybe it would be a good idea to stay (err, get) classy in response?
  11. Yeah, I love her comment style, as if she has any idea what she's talking about. "Hmm, I don't recall ever seeing a disorderly conduct single misdemeanor charge in a federal information." Umm, Julie, happens all the time. I have seen disruptive lawyers in federal courthouses arrested and charged with that single misdemeanor.
  12. And right on cue, almost as if she is The Real Deranged Rhino, here she is. Too easy to be a member of the Trumpist commentariat, isn't it?
  13. Oops. There goes that whole narrative. New narrative: DOJ and Epps have a deal in place to provide him cover. He'll plead guilty to a misdemeanor, get probation, and go away. Such is the nature of conspiracy theorists. Everything that happens to refute their theory is immediately turned around as providing yet more support for their theory. Julie Kelly, where are you?
  14. I'll just say that if Sam Howell were on the Jets and Zach Wilson were on the Commanders, I'd be thinking totally differently about this game and their seasons.
  15. And given their 2-0 start (against one bad team and one other middling team) and the problems the Giants are having, they have playoff dreams. And that's not really that big a stretch.
  16. Breece is (actually was ... sorry Jets fans) a lot better than Robinson. But Robinson is big, consistent, and if their line performs adequately he will churn out yardage and probably at least a couple 10+ yard carries/catches. He's kind of what we want Damien Harris to be, maybe not surprising because they're all from that Bama mold.
  17. Let me guess: scheduled 65 minutes. Reality: 135 minutes. Take out Carson Wentz's starts (believe me, Ron Rivera would like to do that) and the Commanders are 8-3-1 in their last 12. Not. A. Bad. Team.
  18. But they're not a "bad team." They are kind of Patriots quality (or lack of quality if you prefer). A .500ish team that competes and is certainly capable of stealing a win against a better team.
  19. The incredible childishness of Trump still has the capacity to amaze me. I mean, I think there's nothing he could do/has done that would surprise me anymore, and then there's something like this. I should note that the reports say that this is from an actual witness statement - evidence that we can expect to see presented at trial.
  20. No, there's no reefer madness mentality here. I have lived in Colorado for decades, was for legalization, and believe that marijuana should be legal and regulated at the federal level. But again: it's not a wholly benign drug (is any mood altering drug?), and there's plenty of evidence refuting the peaceful stoner stereotype. And anecdotally, I have seen many such examples. One good study: https://jaapl.org/content/early/2021/12/10/JAAPL.210034-21#:~:text=Cannabis Use and Violent Criminal,Arseneault et al.
  21. I think you need to check some stats regarding drug testing results of violent offenders. I have no doubt alcohol is worse, but the "pot smokers are lazy, pacified, and can't be bothered to get off the couch to point a gun at someone" is very 1970s.
  22. Exactly. And if socialists like DeSantis weren't afraid to just let the market work, it would cost even more to insure property in coastal Florida. Hey, Ronnie, shouldn't we also eliminate that government-run socialist National Flood Insurance Program?
  23. Not much information on the guy. But we do know he seems to have been strongly influenced by his uncle (himself just 29; these are big Utah families), a former MMA fighter with some issues. A lot of these Jan 6 guys were not the winners of the world. They were kind of misfits led down a rabbit hole, and when they found out that there was nothing but an illusion there and that they'd been used and forgotten, that reality may have been too much to handle. This kid didn't seem like a bad guy, but he did something illegal, got caught (eventually), and probably would've gotten a pretty trivial sentence since he was only charged with misdemeanors. There's a bigger story there, and it isn't about the DOJ ruining him. It's about older manipulative people ruining him. OK, groomer supporter ...
  24. Not since Spirit Airlines attempted to merge with Frontier Airlines have we had such a promising deal: killing two awful products in one fell swoop. I think if you ran it like the NBA G League on a bigger stage, with minor league teams affiliated with NFL teams, you'd get people to pay attention. Until then, no.
