  1. How about "Israeli missile misses target, hits parking lot outside hospital." Which was certainly possible, now looking unlikely.
  2. That will never happen.
  3. But will they let her wear her "recently signed by Trump" cap in federal prison? https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/justice-department/jan-6-rioter-smashed-window-received-signed-trump-hat-sentenced-4-year-rcna120678 In the immediate aftermath of Jan. 6, she said it "WAS !@#$ WAR TO GET IN," that rioters “weren’t welcomed in” and that police “had to retreat into the building and fight back because patriots were relentless.”
  4. I'd forgotten all about Jared's big deal with MBS. It was all about finding investment opportunities IN ISRAEL for the Saudi sovereign wealth fund. I imagine that has literally gone up in smoke now ...
  5. Why do teams even do these late round draft swaps? Seriously, is there some salary cap benefit to it that I'm not aware of? Example: Broncos dumped bust free agent "pass rusher" Randy Gregory. Initial reports said he was waived. Later reports corrected that: it was a draft pick swap! 49ers get Gregory and the Broncos 7th round pick. Broncos get the Niners 6th round pick in return. Niners 6th rounder and Broncos 7th rounder may actually be consecutive picks. So ... why? Face saving or something that I'm missing?
  6. https://www.alz.org/alzheimers-dementia/what-is-alzheimers/causes-and-risk-factors/genetics#:~:text=Family history is not necessary,first-degree relative with Alzheimer's. TV tells me Focus Factor may help.
  7. Wasn't he one the "many good people" chanting "Jews will not replace us" in Charlottesville?
  8. Somehow Israel doesn't seem to view him as "giving antisemites the green light to go after Jews." In other words, this topic hasn't aged well ...
  9. Yeah, look at them, breaking windows and storming in through them! Oops, that was January 6. These folks cleared security.
  10. Because a war in the Middle East has so much to do with the prosecution of an American insurrectionist. I look forward to your continued moratorium on posting on any thread dealing with something other than the was in Israel. Now please go delete your post about Ecuador electing a conservative government.
  11. And that's exactly what this damn fool was - a QAnon true believer. Just like you. Duped by Ron Watkins and his son making stupid sh!te up from the South Pacific, inspiring 600 pages of "analysis" here by Batman DR and his own personal Robin, DR's Ghost a/k/a BillsFanNC.
  12. Well that's certainly a circuitous route ...
  13. Another one bites the dust. 57 months this time. Again, superb work by the investigators and prosecutors. These idiots thought they were anonymous. This one posted the following after January 6: A day after the attack, according to prosecutors, she wrote on social media: “We have given you all a chance to help us settle this peacefully. We have been patient. The time is up.” Over the next several days, prosecutors said, she continued to post about the riot, writing: “They didn’t open the gates. The people trampled them. It was war.” Yeah, "mass trespassing" indeed. She seems to think it was trampling and war. I guess it's normal to bring a pick axe to a peaceful protest.
  14. I don't know where you got that. Stop making things up.
  15. Isn't believing Israeli intelligence (one of the combatants, with a vested interest in showing that it did not attack a hospital, a war crime) without question, seconded by the USA (which has expressed support for Israel), just an example of the same thing? The "fact" is we don't know anything for sure, at least not yet.
  16. "De-nazification" of an oil field and Crimea? I don't think so. Full-on, old school conquest was the goal.
  17. So a full-on attack heading toward Kiev was in support of an occupation/annexation of the Donbas? Obviously Russia's objective - it's stated "de-Nazification" objective - was to overthrow the Ukrainian leadership and to install a puppet regime, just like in Belarus. If it had simply wanted to invade/annex the Donbas, well, that would have been easy. Ukraine, with the support of the US and Europe, thwarted that objective. That is not a minor accomplishment ...
  18. Fundamentally flawed? Yes. Bloated? Yes. Useless? No. Countries still do pay attention to the UN and at least try to justify their actions. It is certainly possible that a world without a UN would be even worse.
  19. Country A is at War with "Country" (semi-autonomous entity) B. They are both firing rockets at each other. Something blows up in Country B. It is natural and obvious to attribute that to Country A. Later, if new facts emerge, that may change. This is no different than what happens when it turns out that a U.S. serviceman in Afghanistan is wounded, and it turns out that it was due to friendly fire.
  20. So your point is Biden - projecting strength in his unwavering support of Ukraine - is making a mistake. In other words, he should be saying "we don't have a dog in this fight." Some might say that is projecting America's weakness and emboldening further aggression against our allies. Which is my point. (Your point is something different)
  21. Iran (threatening some kind of attack now) probably knows our assessment of it's capabilities and weaknesses now, thanks to Trump cavalierly handling a top secret document on that subject.
  22. This talking point - "they sense weakness" - is absolutely insane. Biden: firm support for Ukraine against Russia's attack. MAGA Republicans: "we don't have a dog in this fight; no more aid." Biden: firm support for Israel against Hamas' coordinated terrorist attacks. MAGA Republicans: you tell me where they stand. Other than criticizing Biden ("a bad thing happened while you were President") I don't even know where they stand. With the Palestinians? With Israel? Honestly, what do they think the United States should do? Stand aside? Isn't that projecting "weakness" - we don't have a dog in this fight? We need to recognize what's happened here. Traditional roles are reversed. The MAGA Republicans have become Lindbergh in the 1930s, isolationists who want to avoid all foreign involvements. The Democrats are - as Biden just repeated - still holding to the idea that America is the strongest nation in the world and that things that happen in the rest of the world are our business, in that we will stand alongside our allies against threats to their security.
