  1. The latest chapter in the ongoing story: post-Trump Republicans are now all about feelings, Democrats are now all about data.
  2. Hmm, now that Alex Jones is back on Twitter, where do all our Trumpies stand on the repeal of section 230? They've been very quiet ever since the Musk buyout....
  3. Inappropriate. I feel dirty because I laughed.
  4. There is no "state interest" here in preserving potential life, since there is no potential life. It is almost a perfect test case for the post-Roe world. Texas will basically be forced to argue that there is a state interest in making a woman have a miscarriage/deliver a stillborn baby/deliver a baby that will die almost immediately after delivery.
  5. It appears that everyone has moved on from Dylan Mulvaney. Except, of course, for one very trans curious poster here.
  6. Dear ChatGPT, Thank you for the tips!
  7. Amazing how quickly the balance of power changes. 2022: the great young QBs are in the AFC. AFC is entering a new era of dominance. 2023: never mind.
  8. Broncos within one game of the Chiefs in the AFC West!
  9. Holy crap! It didn't play to script.
  10. Calling it now: defensive hold on the Bills. Or PI. Or roughing the passer.
  11. Exactly what I thought. Would I decline it? Yes.
  12. They left us enough time this time!! Thank you Travis.
  13. So that when we inevitably settle for a FG, and then KC scores a TD, we'll have just enough clock left for one final hail Mary.
  14. Herbert out for the Chargers. It's Easton Stick (who? what?) for the win.
  15. Actually NYT playoff machine says ... go Bengals! Improves our chances of making the playoffs from 20% to 24%. (But I'm guessing the Colts will blow it in future weeks, so that may change my perspective)
  16. And unfortunately he's off to a nice start today too. Or maybe I want the Bengals to win? I can't remember anymore.
  17. It is Flacco. But imagine if Flacco had taken over for Rodgers in Game 1 for the Jets. He's not good, but he's not Zach Wilson or whoever else bad. You really can do worse than signing a QB off the street.
  18. Casey thinks encouraging a little voter fraud is o.k. when Ron is the beneficiary. https://www.washingtonpost.com/elections/2023/12/09/casey-desantis-iowa-caucus-moms/
  19. I finally watched a few "highlights." Dominated, of course, by Vivek and Christie, two candidates who are not winning anything. Vivek continues to campaign for VP while Christie is furthering his future as a TV pundit. DeSantis and Haley did nothing that 98% of the electorate will notice. At least Haley gets a tiny bit of screen time as the chivalrous fat man defends her honor. A total minor league affair on a minor league network. It will change absolutely nothing. We remain on the highway to hell, Biden-Trump II.
  20. More likely it's one of those things that was innocuous at the time, that is now blown up into a "story." Something like: McD: "hey, [lineman], you look more like a slot receiver than a tackle wearing those Jordans." [time passes] ... "I heard McD wants all linemen to wear work boots now."
  21. Right. We don't know. Much more likely is that the official story is correct: McDermott and Beane operate in lockstep on a consensus basis. And there's a good argument that having both the GM and the HC pulling in the same direction, with the same ideas of how to build a consistent winner (I think that was the definition of "the process") is largely responsible for the continuing success of the Bills franchise since their arrival.
  22. But these (RFK, Trump) were the guys who highly disapproved of Epstein's activities.
  23. Not to mention that Hungary-Russia border! It's good to see that the 45th president is well-versed in the geography of a critical region.
