  1. A reminder re: Melania. Definitely NSFW. Definitely in tune with Pride Month! And even more definitely preferable to MTG's poster of Hunter's Weiner. Blow this one up MTG! https://nypost.com/2016/08/01/melania-trumps-girl-on-girl-photos-from-racy-shoot-revealed/
  2. Yes. There was a lot of foolishness, much of which has been documented here. We learned that when there's not a whole lot you can do (other than locking yourself in at your single-family home), people substitute and even promote ineffective things. Maybe they help us psychologically at the time by given us some sense of control/security. Whatever. Again, I'm more interested in doing a kind of hotwash - what we did that was good, what we did that was bad, what we did that was well-meaning but unproductive or counterproductive. Have we done that? Not that I know of. THAT's (see the use of capitalization? easier than bold) the hearing I still want. And there's plenty of blame to spread around: Trump, Biden, Fauci, CDC, NIH, governors, WHO, etc, etc. These hearings are, sadly, just another distraction from what really needs to happen. Because this will not be the last novel virus we have to deal with. EDIT: you may prefer the kind of Random Capitalization that makes the Former president such an Effective communicator.
  3. Dangerously speaking in semi-normal words. Achtung! Sniffers.
  4. Oh, I agree. I think Biden will be correct when he says "Republicans in Congress shot down a bipartisan attempt to regain some control over the border." But it won't work politically. Which is why the Republicans shot it down.
  5. ^^ Fell under the spell of a crazy man. EDIT: [del] twit X "ins[a]ne" deranngg ta[r]h; Use discretion. False reports prevalent.
  6. I'm thinking of changing my screen name to BillsFanNC's Fan. Kind of a derivative tribute to a mentally ill banned poster.
  7. If you read the articles about the internal debates (clearly based on approved WH leaks), the administration obviously expects this EO to be enjoined. In fact, they're almost inviting lawsuits. It is about the Biden Administration trying to prove Biden's point that the President does, in fact, lack the power to take unilateral action, and to shift the blame back to the Republicans in Congress for failing to pass the Lankford bill. They do have a point, but I doubt it gets any political traction. It is far too subtle for the mass electorate to understand.
  8. PATRIOT! Why hang it upside down when you could burn it an make a stronger point?
  9. Definitely sane. No question about it. We should honor his memory, kind of like how Pink Floyd fans venerated Syd.
  10. One of the few things I may agree with him on. Maybe not in the precise way he states. But why not a big tariff on imported oil? That would incentive U.S. production and at the same time aid in the transition from ICEs.
  11. These hearings demonstrate what is wrong with America. There is a good reason to hold the hearings, but it is not to score cheap political points (ooh, look, there's Fauci sitting in an empty section with two other people at a ballgame and he's LOWERED HIS MASK!). It is to discuss - and come up with a policy - to prevent future pandemics and to deal with them when they happen. So the lab origin theory should be addressed, as should funding and certification/inspections of any labs doing gain of function research. The part that annoys me the most: we now know that the most effective strategy to prevent spread of airborne viruses like this is air circulation. Why no policy on improving this in schools? In public buildings? And also: the immense fraud in COVID money giveaways. Even worse, things like this: https://apnews.com/article/minnesota-feeding-our-future-pandemic-fraud-73610b59bb60bf33f2aa06063bb592d2 A juror was dismissed Monday after reporting that a woman dropped a bag of $120,000 in cash at her home and offered her more money if she would vote to acquit seven people charged with stealing more than $40 million from a program meant to feed children during the pandemic. “This is completely beyond the pale,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Joseph Thompson said in court on Monday. “This is outrageous behavior. This is stuff that happens in mob movies.” These seven are the first of 70 defendants expected to go to trial in a conspiracy that cost taxpayers $250 million. Eighteen others have pleaded guilty, and authorities said they recovered about $50 million in one of the nation’s largest pandemic-related fraud cases. Prosecutors say just a fraction of the money went to feed low-income kids, while the rest was spent on luxury cars, jewelry, travel and property.
  12. Maybe one of our resident quants can answer this question: how many times has the cult-run money laundering scheme known as the Epoch Times been quoted (unironically) on these pages? https://www.justice.gov/usao-sdny/pr/chief-financial-officer-multinational-media-company-charged-participating-scheme The scheme is remarkably crude: buying and selling things like prepaid (stolen) credit cards, turning proceeds into crypto, etc. A garbage "newspaper" that somehow went from fringe Falun Gong cult rag to one of the most beloved right-wing go-to sites.
  13. Didn't used to be that way. Gender was linguistic. Feminine noun, masculine noun, all that fun stuff. Sex was sex. Male, female. Period. You talk post-modern gender studies talk without even realizing it. Marxist. Commie.
  14. BUMP Just because. Must talk in code. Deep State sniffers sniffing my ... whatever. Use discernment.
  15. See what I mean? Until they (that's a plural they!) started all that "sex is not gender" stuff, you would have just said sex. They've got you. You're now one of them us. Welcome, fellow commie. Welcome.
  16. You are learning - nice use of the nonbinary pronouns!
  17. Is that why you're not The Eggman anymore? I mean, it was your only clever addition to this board.
  18. In which our resident junior "scientist" forgets that COVID barely existed in the USA for the first quarter of 2020 and that the vaccines were not widely available until the summer of 2021. Oh, never mind! My error. The vaccines actually killed more people than they saved. All the the low cost of that little government tracking device in our arms.
  19. It's too late to turn back now. Tarheel has, like the children he worries about when he's not dreaming up new ways to evade the auto-censor, been mesmerized by that compelling drag queen. I now expect him to write-in Barney Frank and to march in his Village People scientist costume on Pride day in NC.
  20. We cannot let this stand. No. I don't mean all those attorneys getting prosecuted/disbarred. I mean a thread that does not echo what certain posters think all threads should be about! I predict that the OP will be called a whole new kind of bodily fluid. Has anyone used pus yet?
  21. This kinda summed it up for me. And for my HS age kid (might not have scored in the 99th percentile on the SAT if school had been in the way!) The students at her school actually put together a petition in opposition of a "return to in person school" plan.
  22. It is, isn't it? But you know I really live for being called a commie or some kind of spell-check evading permutation of the eff word and a bodily fluid.
  23. Remain in Mexico is back. https://www.wsj.com/us-news/biden-to-issue-executive-order-on-southern-border-limiting-asylum-rules-a9a021a5?mod=hp_lead_pos1
  24. I think you were previously the eggman. Expert texpert choking smokers, Don't you think the joker laughs at you?
