  1. Again, no need to speculate. 9 days. And now you guys have managed to set such a low bar ("he's dying before our eyes!") that even a doddering old man performance will be viewed as a resurrection. I can't be bothered, but surely you remember all those posts from 4 years ago about how Biden will die or resign within a year to hand the presidency to Kamala?
  2. Have you ever been in a Five Below? Trash merch like big packs of candy for $5. No business plan that I can ascertain. They're probably skipping it for Walmart and the Dollar Store.
  3. Probably. I think you need more experience with the really old (not just us) folks.
  4. So, again ... you don't like that the rich are getting richer. What should we do about that?
  5. So we'll see for ourselves on live TV in 9 days I guess. Will he die before our eyes on the debate stage?
  6. So we should vote for the candidate/party that promises to lower the corporate income tax? What is your policy prescription?
  7. Go ahead. Check the sources. This guy is nuts and has no business getting nominated to be governor by any major political party.
  8. Is Billsy in the penalty box? 5 minute major? I had better step up my game.
  9. He’s and his ilk already had their day. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Whores'_Day what, you want a month too?
  10. Yes, it matters if people are gullible
  11. I offer this as a continuing public service for us cheapskates out there. This one is limited to Colorado, but I promise you every MLB city has some kind of similar fast food deal out there: Since every team probably has at least one double in 95% of games, this is basically a gimmie. But you need to buy a buck Coke to get it! So that's 437 calories (not including the Coke) for a buck. Remember that the next time you're tempted to post those bloated fast food receipts. An educated consumer is inflation's worst enemy. You're welcome.
  12. Reminds me of this, from 20+ years ago. https://www.theonion.com/marilyn-manson-now-going-door-to-door-trying-to-shock-p-1819565904 Subsequent attempts to provoke outrage were met with equal indifference. "[Manson] was standing at my front door wearing those fake breasts he wore on the cover of Mechanical Animals," retiree Judith Hahn said. "He said, 'My name is Marilyn Manson, and I'm here to tear your little world apart.' I thought he was collecting for the Kiwanis food drive, so I gave him some cans of pumpkin-pie filling." Undaunted, Manson and his entourage stepped up their assault on mainstream American sensibilities. On Tuesday, they arrived in the tiny Detroit suburb of Grosse Pointe Farms, where stockbroker Glenn Binford answered his doorbell to find Manson hanging upside-down on a wooden cross as Ramirez performed ***** on him. "I just stood there thinking, now there's a boy who tries way too hard," Binford said. "I mean, come on: Homoerotic sacrilege went out in the late '90s."
  13. Freak Show: the former Mrs. Gavin Newsome, the Current Honorary Trump:
  14. You just made that part up. Congratulations! Start tweeting it and some guy on a Raiders forum may quote you as authoritative.
  15. The interesting thing here (and by that I certainly don't mean the @LeviF posts): Ordinarily you have a judgment against someone, you move against their assets. Infowars. That's the main asset, the one that produces revenue thru the hawking of Alex Jones Virility Pills or whatever. But you can't really do that here, since without Alex Jones I guess there is no Infowars. What are the plaintiffs going to do? Seize Infowars and then employ Alex Jones to continue to spin the conspiracy lies that they sued him over? They're kind of stuck. I empathize. With them, not with the creep Alex Jones.
  16. I would like to respond but I find myself mesmerized by the charismatic svengali that is Ray Epps. Must storm Capitol ... must storm Capitol ... resistance is futile ... you are powerless to resist ... How bout a trigger warning next time? What if a child stumbles upon this.
  17. BurgerGate: I can't believe you guys haven't picked up on the part where Schumer says "my daughter and her wife bought a house." Maybe that's because the lesbian family barbecue is likely to feature Impossible Burgers and Vegan Cheese? Please dig deeper here! I'm sensing a George Santos movement.
  18. I think you have the players wrong here. It would have been Hirohito's job to tell his pilots that they should go in peace.
  19. Maybe you can tell us exactly how much it should be worth. Should it be based on an estimate of how much Alex Jones made by making up stories about how the plaintiff parents were "crisis actors?" How much were the parents harmed by these defamatory statements? Have you had a child killed by a school shooter such that you have personal experience of how much additional harm was inflicted on you by Alex Jones claiming that you are an actor faking your grief?
  20. From one of the embedded tweets: "it's pretty bizarre that the parents have more animosity towards Jones than towards the actual shooter." Not bizarre at all. The actual shooter was a seriously disturbed kid, clearly in the pretty serious range on the autism spectrum among other things. His level of culpability must be viewed through that lens. Evil? Yes. But what made him do this? Lots of reasons that have to do with how we treat (as families and societies) disturbed/"neuro-divergent" kids. Maybe a good idea would be to keep him away from violent video games and real life firearms. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2018/12/09/sandy-hook-shooter-adam-lanza-had-scorn-humanity/2259413002/ Alex Jones, on the other hand? Perfectly sane, profiteering off the misery of others. I take that into account too.
  21. It is a strange arrangement on the surface - Gorsuch joining the liberals. But Gorsuch is kind of a renegade on issues in which he thinks the Government doesn't do things right, and ultimately that's what this case was about. Alito's decision here may draw him more criticism, but it really shouldn't - he's relying on the text of the statute here, which is a little bit different than what it was in prior cases in which the Supreme Court decided for the alien. In other words, here he's being consistent with his judicial philosophy.
  22. Tarheel blowing the lid off Schumer BurgerGate! Only on PPP. I'm surprised he hasn't used his microbiology training to ascertain that Schumer was actually preparing a liberal Sh[]tStainBurger.
