  1. I'd say something snarky about him ⬆️ , but I have to give him credit for breaking that big Natalie Jean Beisner story. Yes, THAT Natalie Jean Beisner.
  2. And maybe now that it's over, we look not at the wisdom or propriety of the charges and trial, but to what he actually did: - almost undoubtedly (although he laughably denies it) had sex with a professional sex worker, right after his son's birth - worked with the most comically disreputable publication in America to plant false stories about his REPUBLICAN primary opponents (Ted Cruz's father with Oswald!) and to bury stories about his own affairs (Karen McDougal) and one-off hooker bangs (Stormy) - conspired with his toadies to mischaracterize those payoffs as legal fees on numerous official filings THAT is their hero. We'll get the "well Biden ... Hunter ... Ashley's diary! But come on, Biden is nobody's hero. He's just the alternative we've been handed.
  3. You mean "if we elected the President by popular vote rather than by electoral college."
  4. That Hillary raid on the Capitol was a sight to behold. Thousands of pant-suited women rolling up 100-page position papers to use as battering rams. Kale salads heaved at Capitol Police. "Hang Anthony Weiner" signs everywhere. Still makes me shudder.
  5. You should shoot a commercial for the anti-Trump vision. Really. Kind of like that Unified Reich one but in reverse. This is quality material!
  6. You know I'm a sucker for urbane foreign phrases. Do I get to keep my tiny EV for weekly runs to the co-op?
  7. Rich buffoon bangs hooker. A decade later decides he's running for President. Uses "alternative media" to plant fake stories about opponents. Furiously tries to cover up past antics by paying off people, making use of same trash media. Shocks himself by winning. Goes back a year or two later to pay back his sleazeball lawyer. Has accountant falsify books to cover up what the payment was for. Loses reelection bid. Refuses to just go away like Jimmy Carter or Bush 41. Wants revenge! Gets prosecuted for old scam crimes. End of the Republic!
  8. Can I opt for the tiny off-the-grid house when I retire? Some of those Tuff Shed models are pretty swanky now. 150 square feet of pure style
  9. Here's a thought: maybe it's not the end of the Republic. Maybe if young men (and face facts, we're talking about men) with political aspirations learn that they will be prosecuted for breaking the law even though they are well-connected, there will be a new class of politicians who don't treat the law as nonbinding guidance. Venue changes are extremely rare, and are based on pre-trial publicity in a particular district that could be addressed by moving the trial elsewhere. Where could we have moved OJ's trial? Trump's trial? Were the prospective jurors of WDNY (Buffalo) unaware of who this Trump fellow is and what people say he's done or been wrongfully accused of doing? Such motions are not based on how the district's populace voted in the last election.
  10. I agree. I remember the time when she was a refreshing fairly even-handed sub for blowhard Olbermann. I don't like watching commenters when you know that they won't ever diverge from the official script. Why bother? It's like reading posts from Ol' Tarheel.
  11. The jurisdiction always matters. The judge always matters. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.
  12. No wonder all those hedge fund managers and Black Rock CEOs are lining up for Biden
  13. Protesters (are they paid?) waving a "Trump or Die" flag. Let's make the choice easy for them.
  14. First they came for the gold fixtures, and I didn't complain because I have no gold fixtures ...
  15. Core inflation is 2.7% YOY. That's way lower than pretty much any period in modern history other than the post-great recession period.
  16. For a self-admitted prude, Ol' Tarheel seems pretty obsessed with pr0n.
  17. You didn't catch the best bit, something something about you say it's sunny and it's raining ... (and then they prosecute you for perjury I guess) Hey, nobody gonna make you lie except yourself! What are you, Mike Flynn?
  18. Hey, they got Al Capone on tax charges. Trump takes no questions. Rambles for nearly an hour. Dementia Don?
  19. You will see exactly how nutso some people - even people who function as more or less reasonable commenters on the football side - really are.
  20. Exactly. And I'm a realist. If he had just slinked back to Mar-a-Lago and continued selling condos to sheiks I don't think he would've been prosecuted. But no, like Napoleon he just had to come back for more. Shakespeare knew how these things end.
  21. How often do high-priced big law partners like Todd Blanche leave their law firms to represent one criminal client?
  22. Toned down the Orange Glo this morning. Starts off with immigration. Greatest Hits!
