Drafting based on last year is a fool's errand. We need to adopt strategy, not tactics.
Both Mahomes and Trubisky are far better prospects than any of the 2013 draft. Period. If you believe Mahomes is an EJ prospect or Trubisky is Glennon then you need to actually look closer.
If we're going to go linebacker (a terrible idea at ten) I would rather trade back and take Jarrad Davis over Foster AND get an extra pick.
Drafting for need is why this team is almost going on almost 20 years of no playoffs.
Linebackers are a terrible idea for a top ten pick. If I draft a linebacker that high I want Brian Urlacher.
Yeah, I saw that. Just laughed at anyone retweeting Fahey.
What really annoys me is he refuses to use analytics on the QBs, that's what he gets known for. Instead he is writing about the beauty of Kizer's footwork?! Ugh.
Patrick Mahomes, Clutch QB. Ranked highest in class.

That would be great. I'd love for one player to force a lot of people to rethink their methods.
My belief in this extends beyond the numbers nerds. I was told by people that coach in college football that Watson struggles throwing the ball, that it flutters before the combine. When those numbers came back I was convinced that they were right.
That's pretty subjective. I don't think the case is closed but we have almost a decade now and there is no success for any QB in the last decade who threw 53 or below unless you count Taylor as a success.
That's the great thing about the draft. Everyone has rules and some work and some don't. The NFL also changes and many of the rules that used to work (like the Parcells rules for QB) also seem a bit dated.
Maybe. Usually top ten picks have actual production AND fantastic athletic traits. OJ Howard timed very fast and very agile. He did have very concerning numbers for explosiveness.
