  1. Yes, the same coach that also carried the Falcons to a Superbowl and had the Patriots dead to rights. I do agree he needs to work on his game management skills. But man, he knows offense and QB's. Must be nice to have that in house.
  2. Yes, pro-style QB, we know. You honestly cannot compare TT to Carson Wentz. The Eagles are pleased as punch with Wentz. The Bills are looking to replace TT. Wentz was asked to carry the Eagles offense. TT was hidden behind an elite running game and not asked to do the same things. Wentz was a first year rookie coming from Division 2 football. TT was in his 6th year in the NFL.
  3. You'll probably get your wish. I've been waiting for 20 years. The Bills are masters at not prioritizing top QB play.
  4. Please god let that be the case. If the Bills spend 4 picks on linebackers in 2 years we better have a Steel Curtain going on.
  5. And he better have a really hot girlfriend!
  6. It's sad that this is such a factor in 2017. The way you hear some of these talking heads discuss QB's it's still 1985 and every team has a fullback.
  7. We're in agreement here. The issue many of us have is that the Bills assessment of value on QB's has been wrong year after year.
  8. Well, you know I like that!
  9. And to be clear I like Carson Wentz. But yes, taking snaps under center shouldn't be a top 5 consideration. I want accuracy, pocket presence, quick release.
  10. Well, I am talking to people who like Mahomes better than Wentz. Wentz's value was his "pro-style offense" at a Div 2 school. Again, backwards old boy thinking.
  11. Thank you. Both are important qualities. Penn State would be ideal.
  12. I would agree he is currently terrible. That's based on the last time we saw him where he was throwing 100 MPH fastballs at guys 5 yards away from him. Let's see if he makes the team this year before declaring he is anything more than that.
  13. John, don't you get it yet? Bills can only select a QB if they are 6'4'', 240 lbs. The QB must be a great leader and very interesting while having no actual opinions on anything outside football. They must never throw a bad pass and throw with grace and perfect mechanics as measured by Greg Cossell and they must meet the data requirements of Irishman Fahey. They should be mobile but a pocket QB. They must have a great football brand well established before coming to the NFL. Only an obvious generational prospect that could change the football universe should be drafted by our Buffalo Bills. And they will be an obvious top overall pick but the year they come out the team with the pick will say, "Hey, let's not be greedy. It's Buffalo's turn. Here you go, take our player."
  14. I would take Mahomes over Wentz even after Wentz had a decent rookie year and Trubisky over Jared Goff. That standard means you never draft a QB. I am starting to see that's what you desire. If the QB prospects were so great that Todd McShay and Mel Kiper and Mike Mayock all agreed they were wonderful future franchise QB's then we couldn't even trade up for them! Even if we offered our entire draft.
  15. If Sean McDermott thinks he is winning 10 games next year he knows far less assessing this team than I thought. But in any case, it's good to see they plan on taking a QB if the value is there. The problem is that their formula for this the last 20 years has been off. We constantly pass on good to great QB prospects.
  16. Again, you missed the point. This wasn't about whether it was ok or not. Why is the media pretending this year is different than last year? Forget it, I asked a question and you decided to go down a different road.
  17. If you honestly think that Cardale Jones is equal to a Patrick Mahomes or Mitchell Trubisky as a prospect then you are welcome to continue with that opinion. That would be like saying don't draft OJ Howard because we have Logan Thomas on the practice squad.
  18. If teams are really going to pass on a franchise QB because he might not provide utility in the first year it really shows how backwards most of the thinking in the NFL still is.
  19. And nothing has changed. Bills still doing things the same chaotic way. Pegula himself when asked who has final say couldn't answer.
  20. You missed the point. Why was it ok last year and not this year?
  21. There is a lot of lazy group think going on. Marginal compared to what? 2004? 2016? I have stated over and over you don't get a prize for drafting a QB from a "good" class nor get a penalty from a "bad" class. Unless you are sure this is the 2013 draft class. And most of the people I see saying that are still emotionally scarred by EJ and scared to get back in the game or hanging onto hope for Tyrod because points scored or Dennison will unleash him, etc. If this is a bad class like 2014 then that's fine. I see a Derek Carr prospect in Patrick Mahomes. He is being downgraded for the same reasons Carr dropped and I want my team to benefit.
  22. I love how all these experts declare none of these QB's deserve to be top ten players yet they said nothing when Jared Goff went #1 last year.
  23. Bills spend 4 picks on linebackers and still suck.
  24. I wish I was where you are. I wish I believed that all of the QB's were terrible and that all we need to do is fill out the roster and pick linebackers and corners for McD's scheme. But I like Trubisky and love Mahomes. Bills will look foolish once again if we pass on them.
