I think he’s dead on in the first point. Josh Allen carried the team! Defense made two nice 4th down stops, but otherwise was putrid. We got dominated on both sides of the line. We made enough plays to win, but if the Colts made a few of their own, we lose that game. Awesome to come out on top... lots of work to do for Ravens though! Need a much better game.

Serious question... couldn’t Bills Mafia raise money for Nick’s charity (if he even has one), and maybe throw a dig in there... like $$ on behalf of Nick Wright, Josh Allen’s son. Believe the sports guy in Chicago got the same treatment..

Nick is a total clown.. and Brandon was dead-on! He was reaching and it’s getting annoying now. My favorite was when he criticized Allen’s jump shot pass to Knox on the busted run. I have seen Mahomes do that before.. and “it’s the most amazing play!” Josh does it and it’s careless. I fully understand some of this is his shtick.. and I know the best way to combat Nick is to ignore him, but my honest question is this: He’s making a living ripping Josh apart. It’s totally pathetic. He can’t make it as a real analyst, so he has to make enemies to create clicks. At any point, does Nick feel bad, like maybe Josh Allen doesn’t deserve this from some no-namer trying to make a living?

Most unbelievable throw from Allen Saturday

He ‘flicked’ that from the 20, and it would’ve landed on the 35. That’s 45 yards in the air, flat footed, and dropped a dime.. absolutely insane. Just freakish arm strength. Rivers struggled to beat that on his Hail Mary. I really want to see him load up on a go-route and send it 70 in the air down the field, for a 70 yard TD. -
Ha! Yes, this is true. Unfortunately he struggled in the wind versus Chiefs (and yes I know Mahomes kind of did too). The Bills can’t rely on our running game because we don’t really have one. Need Allen throwing lasers. For the Ravens, if the weather sucks, they can turn to a pretty elite ground attack (which coincidentally is the weakness of our defense).

Well they just beat a good Titans team, and I wouldn’t say the Bills competition had been too strong toward the end of the season. I am definitely worried about this game. This is a tough match up for us. The Bills will need to play their very best game... and unless our defense decides they want to be elite again, I have a feeling this will be on Josh’s shoulders once again. We can win.. any given Sunday... but can’t say I feel confident after watching the Ravens today.

No way... this means it will be a ground game. That favors Ravens all day. Gonna be a grind.

My thoughts as well. It really is crazy. The media LOVES Lamar Jackson. Allen continues to be so polarizing. Half the world loves Allen. The other half will sweep all of his accomplishments under the carpet, focusing on his one mistake in a game, and literally GO OUT OF THEIR WAY to dog the guy. I guess if it keeps that chip on his shoulder, keep having at it!

You make a fair point. There is always more context to speak of... but if I boil down my point, it’s that I don’t believe our D had really been challenged toward the end of the season. They were doing well, and our offense was doing great, and we were winning... but the teams we were playing generally did not have strong offenses.

The colts fumble that was not called

As for being a crook, tough to think it was a Vegas thing. Colts were already covering, and if Bills regained control, they weren’t scoring any more points... unless Vegas had a ridiculous amount of bets on the Bills money line... -
How Good or Bad was our Defense,Really?

I posted in another thread, but probably more appropriate in this one: Some of you will hate this take... but I think our defense was ‘regaining its form’ in the late part of the season because of who we were playing. Look at the final several games where we won pretty convincingly... I wouldn’t call any of them offensive powerhouses: SF without their QB and Kittle, NE w/Cam and no one, Miami w/Tua, Pittsburgh w/injuries and sputtering offensive play, Denver.... Maybe a false sense of security. Our D did not fare well against strong offenses (even in wins): Tennessee, KC and Arizona beat us. Seattle hung 34 on us (thank you for that win, Josh). Rams were a questionable PI call from a comeback win after total defensive meltdown in second half. Good news is we’re finding ways to come out with wins! But in my opinion our defense needs some major help, mostly on the line, so we can stop having to put all of the pressure on Josh. The games continue to get tougher now. Go Bills! -
