  1. Disagree on Karlos...and the running game in general. I hope I'm wrong but just don't see it. For either back. I'm probably benching McCoy in fantasy. The Pats didn't even try Blount vs them. But our O is going to gash them? Everyone is fooled by our performances (and Karlos) vs Miami. They had no Wake. Their LBS are God awful. And...they basically quit.

Disagree on Mario to.....Unless he just follows Fitz's eyes and gets his hands up. He gets rid of the ball as fast as Eli did against us. Get your hands up..knock it down....zone blitz him from time to time.

Tyrod is going to run for 100---that's how we're going to beat them (hell he basically had the week off last week he should be at or near 100 percent....let him go). He'll move the sticks--he's going to have to. And he's going to make the occasional big play through the air. Beating whoever replaces Cromartie. A lot.

I like our D vs their O. They don't have the RB that can catch out of the backfiekd......Ivory has been terrible the last month. I like our corners vs their WRs. They don't have that dangerous slot guy that's killed us all year.

This game is going to be ugly. Like 17-13 ugly.

Season is on the line. Lose and we're probably going to be 4-6 after New England. This is it.

  2. @MatthewWGR

The Bills' defense is 6th in Net Yards Per Pass Attempt against and 7th in Yards Per Play Against. But in order to win, has to be best

Meaningless when the other teams average drive start is your own 45. Thanks to personal fouls and bad special teams coverage on all the 3 and outs we have.

  3. 9 teams in the AFC are under .500.

That's why we're in this to the end.

If we beat the Dolphins and the Jets twice we're getting in. And with how our D (should) be playing, and Tyrod, I wouldn't want to play us.

I've had my 24 hours to digest this. On to London.

  4. Everyone see what Hopkins is doing for Houston? If he can stay on the freaking field that will be Sammy next year. There are so many similarities between the 2 in their styles of play and perhaps how they have and are developing. Hopkins, in year 3 is getting it and more importantly so are the Houston coaches who know they need to get him the ball.

  5. Some perspective...I guess.

We've lost to probably the 2 best QBs/offenses in football right now. And Eli and the Giants aren't chopped liver either.

The biggest issues on this team are it's lack of discipline, penalties, and 3 and outs. 2 of those are very fixable. The offense.....I have no idea how it's going to look without Harvin and Watkins.

  6. Opening drive of the 2nd half Bengals went right down the field. It was 17-14 and we were in it. After that drive it was over.

They made adjustments and came out and whooped us.

Roman, Rex, the ball boys....all terrible.

I said it earlier...F the whole injuries crap. What's the Steelers excuse?

We can still compete for one of the wild cards. I believe that. We should be 4-3 going into the bye and we'll be ok. The Jets beat a decimated skins team today. Woo hoo. We're still in it. But Rex better get his head out of his arse.

    Honeymoon's over.

  7. I have zero problems with any of his comments. None. First of all he was asked. And.....how awful....he was honest and 100 percent correct. The man got zero targets if I'm not mistaken in week 1...maybe 1 or 2....he didn't complain and he hasn't. I don't believe he was criticizing TT or the OC as much as it was venting.

It's weighing on the fans. It's weighing on the organization (it has to be especially Whaley), and most of all its gotta be weighing on Sammy. This was only a matter of time. He needs to be the focal point of whatever we do. What he said today is the truth. Stop with the "this can't be a good look" stuff.

He's got the pressure thanks to a hyper aggressive controversial trade to make him the #4 pick and first WR off the board in a draft that was loaded with WRs. He's on social media. He's not an idiot. He knows he's going to be compared to all those guys. Allen freaking Hurns is out producing him.

He should be getting 10 targets minimum a game. Evans got 18 a few weeks ago. OBJ is fed constantly.

I'm not even going to say he needs to be better. He's played 2 games plus 1 quarter. And in that 3rd game he was probably on his way to a monster afternoon.

    Feed the man.

  8. man those reviews from seahawks game, WRs were getting wide open, some serious blown coverages. Surprised Legion of Boom looked so bad. Our secondary will play better than that. For one reason I like our man scheme vs bengals instead of seahawks zoneCary Williams is horrible and the Seahawks play a very vanilla D up front - the problem is the Cincy OL is too good to expect to just line up and get pressure with the front 4. Gotta mix it up and try to get Andy to get rattled and throw the ball to the good guys.

A good blueprint is what Pettine did on TNF last year. One of the worst games I have seen Dalton play.

    This.

Oakland, the Chargers (just beat by Vick and made Josh McCown look like Dan Marino), the Ravens minus Suggs have been a mess, the Chiefs have been horrible, then Seattle's meltldown. That's who they've beat. 3 of those games at home and probably the 3 'toughest.'

I'm not taking them lightly. I don't take any team lightly. But they haven't seen anything CLOSE to the defense they'll see Sunday---which will be far more exotic and led by someone who dials it up better then the DC that replaced Quinn in Seattle.

  9.

Well, this wasn't my take on the Bengals. Interesting note from one of our own:

    Dean Kindig â@TCBILLS_Astro

    #Bills next week is a pick-'em. Bengals beat Raiders (2-3), Chargers (2-2), Ravens (1-4), Chiefs (1-4), and Seahawks (2-3). Combined, 8-16.

Bills have beat Colts (3-2), Dolphins (1-3), Titans (1-3). Combined, 5-8. We haven't beat any good teams either.

The Seahawks were a Megatron fumble at the 1 to losing to the train wreck that is Detroit. They were man handling Cincy most of that game and some RB named Rawles ran for 169 yards.

I'm not buying Bengals stock....especially the O just yet. Seattle had that game up until the 4th when it was their OFFENSE that disappeared.

The Bills led by Trent Edwards were a 5-1 team once. The NFL....every game seems like it's a new season. The only constant is the Patriots* are going to roll you.

So no....I don't think the '91 Redskins are coming in here. Far far from it. I actually think the Steelers are going to find their way back on top in that division....somehow.

If Watkins and Karlos are playing I expect to win. Time to man up Sammy. Look at what your QB is doing while hurt. Go ball.

  10. We got bullied against NE and the GMen. And then we were stupid on top of that. A dumb bully who gets their ass kicked again and again is no way to go through life

This is being overblown. Hughes, Aaron Williams, Robert Woods, and I'd say Preston Brown to were already hot heads when Rex got here.

Rex brought in Tyrod. Cool as can be.

He brought in the guy who was supposed to be an actual bully. Model teammate so far.

He drafted Karlos and Darby---supposed mistakes with character issues right Rodak?

What the mistake has been from day 1 and Rex has a large part in this....is the PUBLIC proclamations of being a playoff team. That's always been comical to me. They can feel that way in the locker room and should. But when you and the media have been hyping it up since OTAs, that builds pressure. And when that pressure mounts and things go bad or not in our favor, you can easily crack and lose your cool. And as we've known since last year...we gotta few guys like that.

It happened vs New England with all the hype. And it happened today bc I think they started to think they were being unfairly penalized. And they lost their composure.

I want TT (not Rex) to come out tomorrow and say "we're not a playoff team. We aren't playing like it. And that talk has to stop. We need to worry about Tennessee. End of discussion."

  11. Angry? Yes. Panic? No. Missed a golden opportunity today. But we're in this race and I think in good shape. It would be nice to get Watkins and Miller back ASAP...McCoy does sound like 3 weeks away. To me it's about Tyrod. He has to set up Karlos not the other way around. Pass to set up the run. Anyway....

First lets cede home field to NE. Denver the 2 seed. Then a quick breakdown of the rest a quarter of the way in:

The Central is the Bengals to lose. If the Steelers can lose 3 more games without Ben they're in trouble. And it could happen easy. SD AZ Cinn and KC up next. Baltimore and Cleveland aren't scaring anybody.

The entire AFC South is a mess. Colts win the division going 9-7 is possible. Tennessee will at times be fun....but....no. Same Jax. We absolutely have to beat them. Houston. Ryan Hoyer. That is all.

In the West, the Chiefs will hang around but if you want to talk about defenses that are struggling it's them.......Oakland just lost to a team that might be tanking. And the Chargers let McCown and the Browns O look like the Packers O today.

Now the East. Well...if we beat teams in disarray so have the Jets. Miami is about to fire their coach. I still think we're the 2nd best team.

So to me it's us, the Chargers, Steelers and possibly the Jets for 2 wild card spots. 6 teams already sit at 3 losses. 7 if we beat Tenn next week. If we get our penalties under control...if we stay healthy enough I think we'll be fine.

    We're on to Tennessee.

  12. These kinds of lingering injuries happen with increasing frequency when RBs get old and have a lot of mileage. I think we heard that about 5,000 times this summer so why is anyone surprised?

    McCoy is 27.

What was Thurman's workload up to this point in his career? He was almost never hurt.

Gore, AP, Lynch...all 3 plus years older and all are rarely injured.

We should get 2 peak years out of McCoy without question.

    Thurman: 1,731 carries by 27.

McCoy who just turned 27 is at 1,478 carries.

2 more peak years. That's what I'd expect.

  13. D'angelo Williams just shredded them.

They are going to have 7-8 in the box determined to not let that happen. They will make Taylor beat them. Shocker. That's how it's going to be every week. But not after this one. Tyrod's going to be big. Has to be.

Game plan needs to be pass to set up the run. I expect Woods Watkins and Harvin to get off. Turn Tyrod loose. I expect a close game, and playing it safe vs Brady = disaster.

If I'm Roman I'd also have about 50 screens ready to go.

  14. I know this may sound odd.....but I don't think McCoy and Fred could coexist. Not necessarily personality wise. But you have the old dog who's captain and the brash new young (still) buck used to being THE man in Phily. How we feel about Fred...that's how Eagles fans were with McCoy. Not sure how that dynamic would work here.

    This is Shady's show now.

I'm completely on DW's side here.
