  1. I would like us to move down to 13 by trading with Arizona (presumably to draft Mahomes). I want #77 back, giving us 13,44,75 and 77. The sweet spot of this draft is in that range. I am on record in this thread as saying I wouldn't trade 44 for Sherman. However, shouid we make the above trade with Arizona that changes, heck even Trapassos idea of Koundjio and 44 is fine. The result is we still have 3 picks, which we need desperately, in the sweet spot of this draft for (WLB or Edge,S, Rec or QB. If we could end up with say Reddick, Sherman, Zay Jones and Derek Rivers that would be sweet. Or heck trade down again and end up with a safety as well. I hope we are creative in the draft.
  2. Whaley was also in attendance per Buscaglia.
  3. Running backs playing QB don't make the Pro Bowl 2x. But, thanks for you contribution.
  4. I really like this move. Key point for me is he has won playoff games for the Texans.
  5. Underrated post IMO. Taylor is better than any of the now and likely in the future. I am an advocate of taking a QB after the first round pick if there is one you like. I also would argue that it is an enormous gamble to take a one year starter in Round 1. Also, not sure he is better than Cardale either.
  6. He ran 4.56 at combine and 4.33 at pro day. Something is screwy about the times, a .23 improvement screams fast track at LSU. I wonder what the other guys got from LSU in comparison to at the combine. Mayock had him at closer to 4.38, if its me I'm putting down 4.45 for now as his speed. Still pretty good, more in line with Hooker.
  7. Leroi predicted the other day in the shout box that we take a WR. FWIW he has been correct before. Having said that i love Davis, but I think Whaley goes Clemson.
  8. I don't like trading #44 in this deal. I'd push for only a third. Not that this will happen. JMO
  9. Please just get us a good football player who can step in right away and play for 10 years!!
  10. Angry is the correct word I think.
  11. I don't think he will be the first pick the Bills make. Plain and simple, I don't think his value matches the pick at 10, and I don't believe just because he was brought in means they take him there. On the flip side, that doesn't mean they don't like him, wouldn't trade back a ways or take him in round 2. I believe his value is however, not as gloomy as some see him. After all, he is a fine athlete, and with the Deonne Buchannon thing gaining steam in the league it is not impossible. Who the hell knows whether with a good scheme for him, he doesn't become a great player.
  12. IMO they should draft the best weapons they can (Davis, Howard, Williams, Z. Jones etc.), get 2 more receiving weapons. And, shore up the offensive line (RT). You need to be able to possess the ball and finish drives to have a chance.
  13. Yep! Can even bring myself to respond to the garbage anymore. Even some of the best posters (Bandit, Gunnar, Kirby, Blokes etc.), the ones who actually study and know something have been getting insulted regularly.
  14. I think we all(most) now know who the biggest jerk posting on here now that Major is away?is! This site has gone down the tubes and become painful.
  15. I've read about and studied the so-called Moneyball approach. In a nutshell, setting the poor terminology aside, it is about exploiting market inefficiencies, and tapping into undervalued resources ignored by traditional measures. The term is now throw around I believe, to emcompass the use of big data to run a sports franchise. It means nothing about small vs. big market now. It has now become a maven of every academic who wants to be involved in pro sports and loves numbers. There is a problem in that this is old now. At one time you could exploit things in baseball like OBA being more important than BA in the big picture. How do you gain an advantage now when it is the status quo? It reminds me of people who think they have the latest stock tip except the market has already corrected. It appears to me that now all organizations use statistical data in decision making. The difference is that modern scouting is also integrated into the decision making process. And, we no longer have a scouts vs. stats dichotomy.
  16. What does that have to do with the price of tea in China?
  17. Why have you decided McDermott would provide poor input on personnel decisions?
  18. Nah it's the center of the world! We're lucky we have NYC to produce guys like Trump. IMHO it is stupid and lazy to blame the Bills not making the playoffs in 17 years on Whaley. It is not unreasonable to envision a scenario last season where with COMPETENT coaching we make the playoffs. That tells me the talent big picture wise under DW has improved. I just want coaching that doesn't beat itself.
  19. Truth .. Nah.....Your opinion....perhaps....but not a given fact. Sorry.
  20. If he got along with Marrone and Wrecks I'd be really worried about him. Marrone was a nasty dude and Wrecks is living off last decade and won't change. Of course
  21. I wish these journos would get put under the same scrutiny they use on others.
