I think being successful enables him to dabble with different things. He doesn't seem like the type to just sit back and say lets stick with what works. Kudos to him for realizing things will evolve and you need to be looking ahead at what you need to do.
Yes and the Pats spending this off season will indeed have some misses... and big ones.
Copy cat league....Doug Whaley has been employing this strategy for awhile now!
Indeed. Welcome back.
Has anyone who wants to pay a backup the 10th most RB money stopped to ask yourself the question? 5.7 YPC and 9 TDS....will he regress from those numbers?
It is ridiculous to take the position of his won-loss record or the talent not improving. Facts paint an 8-8 team that topped out at 9 wins and prior to that was winning 4-6 every year. The talent as measured by SRS(power ratings) on Football reference also supports a team in the middle that if anything could have a won more games! Also, I don't know how anyone could watch the Bills coaching in game, and NOT think that they bear the brunt of the criticism that we are not a playoff team. We have pissed away games and not been ready to play at the wrong times.
Nobody sends out a smokescreen like the Bills! Whaley is doing a great job getting everyone to believe they could pick several guys at #10 or trade up or trade back or......Nice work Doug and the crew.
Yes., yes, yes....Do it twice. Get a good player in round 1 who can help right away. And, in this draft you want multiple round 2&3 picks because there is a lot of value .
