The coverage was horrible and he was concentrating only on hang time per Crossman's orders. Great guy and a great Bill by almost all accounts. That being said... an upgrade would be an intelligent idea.
You never know... How many people from Buffalo could he have talked to without any financial interest in him coming to WNY? Maybe a few, but you certainly didn't hurt. Awesome story btw.
He's done nothing personally, I don't dispute that. Nothing except stand 6'3" and 225 lbs. with more than legit athletic #1 ability. It's worth the 15% chance he pulls his head out of his ass at 26 years old. Especially on a one year deal.
He also has 5 years experience, with mediocre QB's at best might I add. His talent and size are more than enough to be worth the gamble. Hate is a strong word lol..
They're not, in fairness to Schaub... Schaub has an arm, led the league in passing in '09, 2 pro bowls, high YPG, high QBR, not much in common at all besides a fair amount of picks.
As far as last year, anyone's guess is as good as mine.
Touché
Even with his history of moronic behavior, I only see upside on a one year incentive laden deal.
Doesn't have the athleticism anymore? Cut. Gets hurt? Oh well. Law trouble? Cut. I fail to see the downside. Exactly the kind of gamble the Bills should make more of IMHO...
It won't happen, but fun to think about.
