  1. Manuel's footwork is just horrid... Why doesn't every rookie just watch tape of Drew Brees' feet?
  2. :-) Thanks guys. I keep hoping this is the week Byrd shakes off the rust and makes a big play. With his talent, and the potential financial motivation, you have to think he's going to break out right?
  3. You put that much more succinctly than myself, right on. If the profit still rolls in at an acceptable rate, why invest more money. The way I see it, hitting them where it hurts is the only way to spur change. I'm sure this is a taboo subject, but there is always just enough "moving" talk to keep the fanbase on its toes. Now...6+ seasons in the safe zone is the time if there ever was one...
  4. Great perspective. Good to see some share a sense of reality... I've lurked here for about 6 or 7 years. Just joined last week. I love the quick updates, intellectual discussion, and inside info this board is known for. Compared to many NFL message boards I've perused, its a haven for those with an IQ. Now that being said, a lot of apologists for sure. Does being negative and espousing the less than competitive aspects of this organization constantly add to the discussion? Of course not. Not unless the breakdown can help us to understand what needs to be fixed as BADOL intimated. At the same time, does pretending we are viewed as anything resembling a serious franchise anywhere outside of WNY help either? We aren't even a blip on the radar. The bumbling Bills are almost a running joke. Until the win column consistently illustrates otherwise, I for one will act accordingly. I dont go to games and I dont buy merchandise anymore (5$ hats at TJ Maxx not withstanding). For some reason I seem hooked on the emotional abuse Sundays provide, in hopes of improvement, but I won't financially back long term mediocrity (probably generous terminology) beyond watching on TV. Sorry to get excited and off topic... My rant isn't exactly breaking news to anyone im sure.
  5. I can't in any way relate to it, except to say he quit a job. Any employer would feel the sting of a highly skilled employee quitting suddenly. Happens every day... He had a job with a contract...Albeit a non-guaranteed contract. A job many of us can only dream about. I hope he is genuinely happy and made the right choice. In the end, who knows better whats best for him and his family. Quitting on the team is definitely a valid viewpoint. So is lost passion, unhappiness, and concern for one's health. Perhaps he has legitimate personal reasons beyond what he chose to share with the media? Perhaps honor and personal responsibility are not his priorities career wise? Who knows?
  6. It may not be something quite so nefarious. A lot of conservative people up that way don't know they aren't Democrats. Nobody has informed them evidently. I always found it frustrating. Many Kennedy Democrats still have no idea they have almost nothing in common with today's party... Probably never will. BTW... the Kiko thing? As somebody who couldn't get out of work and school to vote in a general election for the first time in my life today, at 27 years of age, it's almost offensive if that vote was cast. That being said, this is what makes our country great. The freedom to be a moron.
  7. I love the positivity... Team makes far too many mistakes, especially in the second half, to make that kind of run at this point. Rusty, inexperienced quarterback coming off a knee injury? Still, I like the thought put into your analysis.
  8. Not a terrible article IMO. Definitely better than ESPN's drivel. I'm new so I'm guessing it's been discussed ad nauseum but I hated the Spiller run before the half myself. He had already been limping and hobbling around more than once. I understand the logic, possibly break a big one, but still... Considering the QB situation I've been satisfied with the job Marrone has done overall. Still, much to learn for him and Hackett though.
  9. Very glad to hear it worked out well and you had a great time as a family. Great pics and a wonderful looking family. I'd imagine carrying him around was pretty rough. I remember begging, pleading, and throwing an unreal tantrum when being left out of a game vs. the Bungles I believe. I was 7 or 8.... So were talking '92-'93ish... Dad grew up round the Clinton, Fillmore way and said no chance in hell I was going. Tried to blame it on the cold if I recall. I wasn't having it... Later on in middle school I understood his reasoning. My first game I witnessed a Dolphins fan get pissed on and later beat when he opened his mouth, along with a drunken throw down amongst Bills fans... Touche pops.
