To Me This Feels Like the Hangover After the Party
PolishDave replied to BadLandsMeanie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You need to get some sunshine and vitamin D bro. I wouldn't worry too much about not getting a good quarterback. There are so many good quarterbacks coming out this year, I think the Bills are almost certain to get one. All that really matters, regardless of which players they draft where and what positions they play, is how good of a job the BIlls scouting staff + Beane + McDermott do at evaluating whatever players are available to them in the draft and in free agency. If they get that right, it won't matter if they draft first or last in each round. In the first few rounds at least, there will be plenty of great players available that are so good they will elevate their team substantially. The Bills have to identify them better than anyone else. Over the long run that will have the biggest impact on whether this team becomes dominant or not. If any NFL team (including the Bills) somehow managed to pick the perfect player at each position during the draft and got the situationally best available players for their team in free agency, that team could become a Superbowl contender in one year. I don't expect the Bills to be perfect. I do want them to be better than anyone else at doing that though. Because that is what will ultimately matter. -
Official Schopp and Bulldog Thread

For the most part yes about most topics yes. But, not when an entirely "out of left field" topic is being discussed here one day and then mentioned and talked about later that day on their show. That is not a coincidence; especially if it happens more than once. -
Peterman is poison to this coaching staff. Suppose they start him in a regular season game and he plays poorly (like he has so far). Everyone including the media, fans, players and Pegulas will put a large percentage of the blame on McDermott for playing him. Truth is that Peterman has shown zero reason whatsoever to justify giving him a shot at another start. He hasn't shown any upside at all - just downside. Only way Peterman starts a regular season game for the Bills again (in my opinion) is if the Bills are forced to start him because of injury while Peterman is still on this team. I think odds are decent that he is not on the team at all for the first game of the regular season. I think Bills will either outright cut him during preseason if he sucks bad enough or else (if he plays well) showcase him hard in preseason and then look to get rid of him in a trade somehow somewhere. It just seems like Peterman has an insurmountable uphill climb at this point and I think the Bills already know that.

I am convinced of this. I have heard out of the ordinary conversation topics discussed on this board (and likely only on this board) get mentioned and brought up as topics by the hosts more than once. Not that I blame them for doing it. I would do it if I was in their position too. This place is a cheat sheet for great topics for Buffalo Bills and NFL focused conversations. -
Tanner Lee is a dark horse QB to keep an eye on
PolishDave replied to SaviorPeterman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd like to understand your logic. Because based on the limited amount we did get to see him play, it seems more like the Bills would have been competing with San Fran and the Giants for worst team in the NFL not from Cleveland. -
That is not the measuring stick the coach and GM are going to use to evaluate QB's. No. Complete B.S.

Cleveland and the #1 and #4 picks.
PolishDave replied to xxxxxxxx's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How do you arrive at this conclusion? Does Cleveland have a history of rating guys close to each other? -
If they get a veteran they are going all in on, then it negates their need for a drafted QB entirely. My premise is being made under the assumption that they aren't going to get a franchise Vet QB before the draft. If they don't get a franchise vet beforehand that they are "all in" on, then they are going to draft a QB with pick number 1. If they don't they are insane unless they are very, very sure their QB is going to still be there at 4 or wherever they end up if they trade down from there.

No way. That would be idiotic. QB is far more valuable and far more of a game changer than Barkley is likely to be assuming both Barkley and the QB you pick are as good as you hope. If the Browns do that, they are completely insane.

Source: Major Bills news coming next week
PolishDave replied to SaviorPeterman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you didn't have a history of being a complete d-bag around here all the time, then there would be about zero people complaining about this thread. You could have worded your original post better too. You mentioned "I will also be circling back with my west coast connections". It makes you sound pompous like you think you are bigtime or something like Dunkirk Dillhole. If you truly want an enjoyable life on the board, I suggest you kill off SaviorPeterman and rejoin under a new name and act a lot less douchey. Then you will get along here just fine. Never again mention "your connections" or any phrase that resembles it. You don't have enough rep here to do that without getting verbally ass kicked for it. You can post thoughtful and interesting comments without ever mentioning "your connections". Get it? Don't be a douche. -
Donald Jones to exit 'John Murphy Show'
PolishDave replied to ricojes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No. Much rather have a former Bills player or at least someone who has played professional football. Das RAYSIS man!
