  1. Lol everyone who doesn't think the Gilmore penalty was legit... rewind your dvr
  2. Graham pass was good. Goodwin would still be dancing in the endzone
  3. It seems like Hackett either has more faith in Thad and Jeff or he knows if we lose its expected because he is much riskier with them and painfully conservative with EJ
  4. McKelvin and A Williams at safety are by far our best dbs so far. Remember before the season it was... we are solid at rcb but we are in for a long year with McKelvin on the other side. Gilmore is hurt. But McKelvin is showing why he was the top cb in his draft. I don't know who has noticed... but donny henderson has him looking to break up passes. Not sell out for the int. That has made all the difference. If Gilmore turns into a very good cb and we stay with robey and brooks inside. WE ARE SET
  5. Every time you hear alonso or moats/bradham/lawson its a credit to dareus. We didnt hear a lot from them or... as you stated... him today
  6. I agree. I was not a fan of the pick. No offense to Bama. But a poor run defense starts with the nt/dt. Mario and Lawson will not allow many outside runs. Moats and Alonso can stuff runs up the gut.. if our interior linemen occupy the o line. In minor league I play de and used to play nose. And if you are having a good day, Your middle linebackers are having a huge day. But I digress. For Dareus to live up to 3rd overall hype he need more hits like the one he had on McGahee in the Cleveland game and our run D should be much more formidable.
  7. I know this is about clabo but I know I wish we STILL had Incognito
  8. I'm shocked this is actually a thread 2 pages of people responded to. The posters comments are sarcastic I hope.
  9. How did I forget that one. Everyone who knows me know how much I love Dareus. It all starts with I thought he was overrated that year. And after his rookie year I saw him at my job (the airport) and asked him, you are going to give me 10 sacks this year right. Just joking. He looked me right in my eye and said he was getting no less than 14. Well I'm still waiting. I didn't know he meant stretched out over his career!!! I can tell you from talking to Marshawn off the cuff, he was not ready for the game at the NFL level at that time. He said it to me. I know his mom aunts and family. They flew here all the time. He was just not ready to be so far away from home yet. Marshawn was a bruiser who wanted to be a shifty runner loke he had been in college and high school. For god sakes he ran behind derrick dockery langston walker and melvin fowler, none of whom are still in the league. How can you expect someone to produce monster numbers with that line. He often got hit 2-3 yards deep in the backfield? He danced? Yeah because he had that mentality. Had it not been for Chan's system who knows what Spiller would have become. Would Jackson have had a MVP caliber season? Who knows. That system under Jauron was not beneficial to anyone. We needed a coach that formed a system around player strengths, not ran a system thatb was non-compatible with his players.
  10. To think there is no reason why we couldn't have had a top offense. How do Troup (Rob Gronkowski), Carder and Hairston (Lynch), and TJ Graham (Russell Wilson) sound to you? Bills are good at making bad moves. Its so frustrating.
  11. To the average fan yes. But to people who know sports, it shouldnt. I liken this to my ongoing argurment with people about Peyton v Eli. I feel Peyton is superior, but eli has the rings. People say Eli is more clutch all that. But I also liken it to the fact that by their rationale Michael Jordan is NOT the greatest. Bill Russell is. I guess what I'm trying to say is that people will always twist facts and ideologies in their favor
  12. Lol agreed. I think more of my rant was because everyone seems to keep giving Gilmore a pass. No hard feelings
  13. I can honestly tell you as a former high school and college basketball player, and current semi pro football defensive end. 22 tackles is nowhere near as easy as it is to score 19-20. I don't care how it goes to get your hat in on 22 stops is quite a feat. Alonso is a wrecking ball and it only magnifies that when Dareus and Williams didn't have a good day. If your DT play is bad the o line can constantly get to the second level... Kiko... who teams know about. Game plan for. And almost are starting to fear. Its easy to magnify a middle linebacker playing poorly when he is surrounded by players who rent getting the job done. I will rewatch the first half but like another poster said if the D played like he did... we would jave fireworks on the field. You are right, tackles are not the most important measure. But let me ask you, how many of those runs up the gut were long gainers. Inversely how many were bottled up by the d line. My point is Kiko had to be there.
  14. Love this notion Thank you. I'm still waiting for clarification as to why people think Easley is the answer. 2 regimes who think Easley doesn't deserve the field and arm chair coaches know better. We need to be looking for line help and wr help before we pay 6 qbs. I politely ask anyone to explain to me why they think Easley makes the difference
  15. Why are we talking about Gilmore? Defending Gilmore? Did anyone notice the original poster said that Kiko Alonso... 22 tackle Kiko didnt play well? We are defending a 2nd year player, who is good but not a top 10 draft pick worthy cornerback, when your ROOKIE middle linebacking stud who I might add won defensive rookie of the month was classed together with a hot and cold dareus and a hobbled k williams. I love reading peoples thoughts but I feel like if we have to make excuses for Gilmore why not come to Alonsos aid a bit. Sorry for the rant
  16. If anything. The hamstrings are hurting from overcompensating for his bad groin. I have torn back muscles and had back strains and my legs were fine. Could be core strength could be just that he has a bad back and hamstrings. The bills pay guys good money to rehab this. The real question given Stevie almost never misses a game is should he be playing? Was he ever a hundred percent? Let's look at the whole pic here.
